Relax in this oceanfront condo where visitors can watch dolphins, walk to the beach, and spend time by the pool. A private, gated community, Fripp Island offers miles of unspoiled beaches and some of the best bird and nature viewing on the East Coast. Nearby Beaufort, Charleston, and Savannah offer history, shopping, fine dining, golf, and entertainment for the entire family.
A South Carolina State Park pass is available for guests and provides access to nearby Hunting Island and its beautiful beach and historic lighthouse.
And did we mention the condo is dog friendly? This fully furnished condo has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a washer and dryer, dishwasher, widescreen tv with surroundsound, and enough books and games to keep everyone occupied on the very infrequent occasions when guests decide to stay in.
From mid-March to November, the condo's private pool is open (and is located just outside of the unit's front deck).
Jib's Retreat is located on the second floor - please note that the elevator is out of service for the summer of 2023.
Please keep in mind that Jib's Retreat does not offer Fripp Island Resort amenity cards.

Great little spot! Highly recommended.

Great spot for a weekend getaway. The owner was always available when I needed him which wasn’t too often. Place was as described. Unless amenity cards are a must then this place should be on your list of options of places to stay when doing your research. My only complaint (and this won’t be an issue for a lot of folks) is that I cook a great deal at home pretty much almost every night (wanna be chef) and the kitchen could use a few more kitchen type items. But that’s it. Again, won’t bother most folks. So if you’re looking for a nice place to hang out then check this place out.

The condo is fully appointed and the views of the Ocean are amazing. The host is extremely caring and engaging. Definitely recommend this condo for your Low Country visit. So many wonderful sights to see. Go on a day trip to see history, charm, beauty and wonderful beaches

Frippin’ Great Time!

My husband, three daughters, sweet pup, and I stayed at this rental property on Fripp Island, and we had the best time! The beds and couch were comfy to lay and sit on. The towels provided for our use weren’t just the basic white towels but were rather fluffy and blue. As silly as this sounds, it made a huge difference in my opinion of this rental property. The condo was super clean, and it was well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed (although we brought our own for a lot of items because many other places we’ve stayed didn’t provide these things at all). Communication with the owners was a breeze, and we appreciate how they made sure everything was perfect for us! Thank you so much!!!

Great little getaway

We loved the location. It was very pet friendly. Would definitely come back again. I will need more than a 3 day weekend next time. I had given the wrong room address at the guard shack at first, but the owners were very quick to respond when i texted them. The only thing about the room, was the coffeepot was left uncleaned from the last visitors. Otherwise, 2 thumbs up.

Lovely beach stay

Jib's was a lovely place to stay with kids and dogs. It's a short 3 minute walk to the beach and has a lovely pool as well. The set-up is ideal with a pocket door closing off the kids room & bathroom for extra quiet in the morning (I didn't have to tiptoe around!) and Jib's even had dog towels and bowls. The kitchen had what we needed to make simple meals. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fripp Island Retreat

The condo has a beautiful view in a quiet community. Very relaxing and a perfect way to get away from it all. The condo was well equipt with everything we needed and wanted. Beautiful views!

We had a great visit! The views were beautiful which was nice since we had some bad weather that kept us inside. Our only issue was the elevators were down the entire time so it was difficult loading/unloading everything especially with 3 little children.

Fripp Island Memorial Day 2023

Couples getaway

Perfect spot for a couples getaway. Off the beaten path for privacy and yet close enough to get to all the amenities. We rented golf cart and bikes so we could enjoy the whole island. The homeowner was fantastic in communication and responsive to all my questions!! Thanks again for a great trip.

Beautiful stay in fripp island

The rental was nice, with a great ocean view. The owner was easy to deal with and took care of all our needs. We had a problem with a TV and someone was there in 20 minutes to fix it. Kitchen had everything we needed with an abundance of spices for cooking. Even supplied a dog bowl, towels and a bed for them. I highly recommend fripp island. Abundance of deer everywhere and even saw a alligator on the golf course. Near a fishing and crabbing pier and at low tide the beach exrends really far out with shells, sand dollars and lots to explore. The hunting island state park beach has an old forest with lots if cool tree skeletons left in the sand. We plan on going back again.

Perfection Once Again

Jib’s Retreat has everything you need for a great vacation: amazing views of the ocean and the sunrise, easy access to the beach and the pool, very responsive and accommodating owners, and a very clean condo with a bunch of books and board games for a rainy day. Relaxing Retreat

The pics do not do the condo justice. The bathrooms and kitchen were all updated, and the condo was stocked with all of the supplies that we could think of and more. The location was super quiet with an amazing view. Easy access to the pool and golf course. Owner was very attentive, responsive, and accommodating. . I highly recommend Jib’s Retreat!

Wonderful

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The location was amazing and close to the beach and excellent dining. The space was clean and very comfortable with all of the amenities of home with a great view of the ocean from the balcony. I will definitely be keeping this listing in mind for any future escapes to Fripp Island.

Comfortable and Relaxing

My husband and I stayed at this property for a long weekend and we found it to be very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. It was close enough to the water that we could observe porpoise swimming. The property owners provided us with great restaurant options. We loved walking through the neighborhood and seeing all the deer - amazing. Our pet cam along and I was impressed with how the owners made him welcome - leaving out dog supplies. Overall a very nice experience.

Pre-Christmas Visit

Nice property and view. Our daughter and her boyfriend came over from Charleston to join us for 2 days. Weather was great for mid December. We used the Hunting Island pass and climbed the lighthouse. Neighbor porches are close in next property over, but most of the time, it was not any problem. Host VERY helpful with questions and also very accessible. Pretty much immediate contact from voicemail. Only real downside for me is access for a beach walk is not convenient at higher tides. Beautiful sunrises and moonrises visible from the balcony. Enjoyed our stay!
