In winter, who cares what the weather is outside? Relax in a cozy sitting area to view the stream, wildlife and Mountaintop Lake. Our house is certified by the National Wildlife Federation so many animals pass bye. We are located near Camelback, Big Boulder and Jack Frost.for skiing and snow tubing. We have a steep driveway and only 3 cars will be able to fit. Need to have 4-wheel drive vehicles. There is a shovel for you to shovel the steps to the door. Driveway will be plowed when 4+ inches.
Linens and towels provided. Incredible backyard view stream from heated sun room or sit in the swing/bench around the firepit and roast some marshmallows.

Only 200 feet to the main beach East Emerald Lake with a playground and swimming.
Family friendly: Have umbrella stroller, pack n play and highchair for younger children. The stream in the backyard is a great experience for youngsters.

Boat permit $10 badge fees vary depending on your stay and number in party.
ELA amenities include: beaches, tennis courts, heated outdoor and indoor pool, clubhouse bar/restaurant. Need to pay for these at the EL Administration Office or Lodge Clubhouse. They are not included in the VRBO price. All subject to change from ELA.

Fishing Dock: Property has a fishing dock. ELA requires a fee of $10.00/person. Fishing permits required by the state of PA and ELA for anyone over 16. ELA charges $15/boat if you choose to bring one or rent one.

Lake at top of driveway feeds into our stream in the back yard and then into the cove which feeds into the largest lake in the development. Depending on the rain fall, the cove water level will be affected.

This 3-bedroom, 2 bath offers a furnished family room w/ping pong table, air hockey, and dart board. Cathedral ceilings, wood burning fireplace, (need to provide your own fire wood) and a modern fully equipped kitchen. Deck from master bedroom and from sun porch. Air conditioning in master bedroom in summer months. Ceiling fans in other bedrooms.

Top bunk bed to be used by children under 100 lbs. see photo - so bring the kids. Also, rustic furniture in master bedroom, new dresser in middle bedroom and refinished both bath rooms.

ELA is a 5 lake private community: Mountaintop Lake – 55 acres (which our house is on), Pine Tree Lake & beach – 25 acres, East Emerald Lake & beach – 25 acres, West Emerald Lake – 22 acres and Deer Pond & Lower Deer Pond – approx. 10 acres.

You will need to sign short term lease, see sample in documents and I will need your address, telephone for the lease. ELA requires you complete a registration form 24 hours prior to renting and reading the Rules & Regulations. Please allow at least 1 week to process paperwork. See attachments short term lease with Responsibility of renters. .

You need to bring paper products, garbage bags and personal items. Directions on opening and closing house will be sent to you upon payment.

Sorry, we do not allow pets or smoking in the house.

Great home

We really enjoy Loretta's place. If you are looking for a quiet family getaway, this is the place for you. We had some heated and fun competitions at the ping pong table and air hockey table and enjoyed the fire pit and lake. Loretta is a gracious host and takes meticulous care of her property.

Weekend getaway

We had a great time in Long Pond/Emerald lakes. The house is so much fun and the back yard is so lovely. The 30 second walk to the beach was amazing too! The host was very helpful and provided all the info we needed. We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing space just as advertised

Loretta was absolutely wonderful in providing us up to date accurate information. The space is accurately described between two lakes, which was peaceful and quiet. We had an amazing time and everything was exactly what we needed.

Great place by the water! Awesome for families!

This place deserves a 6 star rating! Loretta is a great host and very accommodating. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 kids (ranging from 5 mo. to 11 yo) and everyone had a great time. You can't beat the quiet location by the water (great for night time firepit) and game room for the kids. Take a walk to the lake or butterfly garden if you can. Note we didn't use the pool or amenities, so I can't comment on those. But we'd stay here again!

Perfect views and location near lake

The property had a beautiful view from their deck, master bedroom and sunroom. We really Enjoyed the Firepit And view of the lake there. The deck furniture is beautiful and we spent most of our time in the sunroom. We didn’t used the game room but it would have been great for kids. The location of Lake was at end of driveway. The property was supplied with the necessities. Owner is very organized.

Truly Relaxing Vacation!

This house and location of the Poconos was wonderful! We couldn't ask for a more relaxing and peaceful vacation. We were able to walk from the house to the lake in a matter of minutes, which our kids loved, and if we felt like staying inside, the basement was full of entertaining things to do. It was also so great eating outside on the spacious deck and being able to look out at the amazing "backyard" at the same time. Besides the beauty of the home, the inside provided everything that we could possibly need. We're so glad that we picked this rental property for our vacation!

Vacation

My family and I have been renting this property since before my son was born (he is now 17) and we have never been disappointed. If you want to stay somewhere that reminds you of home with lots of pluses, this is the place for you. This property is beautifully kept, there are always new additions each year we go and we don't want to leave when our time is up! The owners are fabulous and have thought of everything that will make your vacation stay an awesome experience. And no I wasn't paid to write this review - just asked and could fill a book of all the pleasant memories that we have from our vacations here over the years. Don't believe me - check it out for yourself - you won't be sorry!!!!!!!!

House on the Lake

We are renting his house in the Summer for 6 or 7 years already and plan to rent this Summer again. It became our second home! We usually rent this house for 4-5 weeks to go away from New York City, spend time with our kids and enjoy the nature. The house is big enough for 8 people or two families. Usually, we rent this house with our friends who also have two kids and we always have a great time there! The house is very clean, well maintained, and the kitchen is very good equipped. It has EVERYTHING (it is important if you stay there for a month or so). Our favorite room is a 'sun' room (3 sides window room) where you can observe beautiful yard, lake and watch wild animals and birds, and specially deers. Almost every morning you can see deers on the yard and we always enjoy to watch them (baby deers are sooo cute!). The way the house is located , you can't see your neighbors and you feel like you're really out in the middle of the nature. The house is located on two lakes and it is close to casino, outlet, and Camelbeach waterpark/ski resort (driving distance, but not too far). The owners are always helpful and really easy to work with. They keep the house beautiful and fully stocked. As always, thank you, Jim and Loretta!

What a view!

Your house was so relaxing. We loved sitting by the fire while it snowed, watching the deer in the backyard and sitting in the hot tub after a long day of skiing and sledding.

Wonderful Vacation

We stayed in the house for a week in August. It was a wonderful retreat from the heat of the City. The house is located just across the lake where we spent most of the time. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. I would love to come back next summer. I would recommend this property to the friends and relatives. The listing photos accurately reflected house's appearance and amenities. Thank you, Jim and Loretta!

Gorgeous retreat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owners Jim and Loretta were so easy to work with and accommodating to us and our travel schedule! The house is quite large, very clean and well maintained. The yard expansive property is BEAUTIFUL - very picturesque! We had an amazing weekend, filled with sunshine, BBQs, touch football and lots of laughter! And it's only two hours away from NYC! We will definitely be renting again! Thanks Jim and Loretta!
