Not 1 but 2 cabins in the Hiawatha Forest SEPARATE rentals on same property
This cabin is called the Sno Shed. All four seasons there is something to do! You can ski, snowmobile, ride your ATV's or side by sides along the many groomed trails. Plenty of sites to see like Picture Rocks, Glass Bottom Boat Tours and good places to eat. The cabin has two bedrooms, bathroom, living room and furnished kitchen. I provide the linens for the beds and towels for the bathroom. Non smoking. We have Direct TV & wireless internet. Each cabin accommodates 6 people comfortably. All of the beds have been updated with memory foam mattresses. There is a newer high top kitchen table as well. The only thing you might need is your preference in lawn furniture if you want to enjoy sitting outside. You will need to provide your own firewood for the firepit. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE THE CABINS. Thanking you in advance. Check in time is 3:30 pm and check out time is 10:00 am. Please call me with any questions Steve Dennis 419-345-2258

The cabin was amazing. We absolutely loved it and our stay was well worth it. Our manager was very helpful and kind and when we had a problem he got it fixed right away. Definitely recommended staying here.
Disconnect without being disconnected. We love this cabin in the woods. It has everything we needed to relax as a family, very cozy and clean! We also enjoyed hiking nearby and walking in the adjacent creek. A bonfire in the evening was the perfect way to wrap up the day.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very clean. We booked the cabin with the other cabin on the property for another group to stay. It is very nice because it makes it easy to hang out as a group and still have your own space. The location is an easy drive to many attractions. It was just what we were looking for.
Not to far out of the way but worth the drive. Steve gave perfect instructions on getting there. Great firepit and grill. Wi-Fi and comfy beds. Close to many attractions.
Steve's property is in the woods. It is a very beautiful area.We found everything we needed for making meals, doing puzzles and relaxing. The cabin is deeply shaded and thus naturally cool. This does affect the lighting inside and so it would be nice to have better in door lighting. It was a little difficult to do puzzles with the lighting especially at night.
My biggest concern has to do with finding the cabin. None of our Gps worked reliably througout the area. There is no roadside sign for crossover road that we found. The house number is outside of the driveway but says Au train not Crossover. We would suggest also that the signs for "snoshed" need to be more prominent.
It would be very helpful to have very specific directions coming from either Munising or the south written on the site once the reservation is confirmed.we had to spend more time than we liked retracing our routes because we had missed a sign or went the wrong direction.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin and felt it was very peaceful! The only issue we had with cleanliness was finding a mouse in a trap upon arrival (we totally get that the cabin is in the woods…would have just preferred the trap to be emptied before we arrived). Otherwise, it was clean and ready for vacation! Good communication, and no other issues noted.
This is our second time staying on Steve's property and my family just loves it. We love the remote location just out of town but close enough to get into Munising for whatever we need. There are so many fun things to do in the area. Steve is so wonderful to work with and replies so quickly. I would highly recommend it for you U.P. getaway!
We had a great stay here, the cabin was clean and everything we needed. Steve was easy to contact and gave details on the area and locating the cabin we had a bit of user error but was definitely my fault on writing the info down correctly, we would day here again. Good distance from munising it was easy to get there and back.
The Cabin is situated in a woodsy, quiet area.
unfortunately, it is inhabited by herds of mice and chipmunks. We noticed the smell when entering the cabin, but thought we'd open windows and stick it out. it quickly went downhill from there. Mouse traps in all the rooms (with the peanut butter expertly licked off!). My 3 YO touched a mousetrap and snapped his finger in it.
Mouse poop in the cupboards, on the counters, in the pots and pans. we woke the first night to hearing the pitter patter of little feet. We had washed all the pans, and within about 4 hours, the mice had pooped in the pans again. The host had underlined with us that due to COVID we must clean the cabin, and leaave it the way we found it. We cleaned and left it better, but I wonder if it iss even cleaned between guests? Old underpants under the bed in 1 room, and under the other bed what appeared to be a hole chewed into the floor.
Oh, day 2, while we were drinking coffee we heard a sound. yep it was a mouse with its leg caught in a trap, dragging the trap behind it across the cabin.
All this to say, I would highly recommned staying elsewhere. we camp frequently, I hunt and am well acquainted with mice etc. but not what we paid for, at the rates we paid. and I am extremely disappointed that the host neglected to mention any of the previous guests concerns with the mice. essentially ruined our stay as we couldn't cook there, couldn't grill etc because of mice droppings and dirt.
It was just perfect for our family. Everyone could spread out and have time alone and then gather in the kitchen area for meals, games and conversation.
Cabin was immaculate, plenty of supplies, linens, etc. Close enough to town and attractions. Great place to crash after being out most of the day. Would book again.
This is a very nice cabin in the forest. It has a big deck in back to sit and listen to the wildlife. Short drive into Munising to enjoy all the fun activities. It also has a nice sunroom with a couch and big TV. Steve the owner is a great host.
The property was awesome! The location was perfect! Close enough to town but out far enough to just enjoy nature. The cabin had everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy our stay in the UP.
The property was great. It is off the road enough that you are not bothered by sound. The road is not traveled a lot. The road Infront of the cabin is gravel which is a good thing when the snow starts melting. Your not far from getting to a main trail that dumps you out on trail 7 & 8 at the west split. The owner of the cabin is absolutely great to work with and great communication. This was my first Vrbo renting experience. I would not hesitate to use Vrbo again and most defiantly will visit the same cabin again.
The cabin was in a beautiful area! It is a little dated inside but had what we needed. Steve was a great host and called me before the stay to give me detailed instructions on how to get there.
The water in the cabin is barely drinkable. I would really recommend bringing your own drinking water, or a filter. It smells strongly of rust and sulfur and there are fragments of rust that come out of the faucet.
Other than the water issue, the place was very comfortable and cozy. They had good high speed internet which was great since there isn't any cell reception.
