Traditional Istrian stone house with large pool

In the very heart of hilly Istria in the village of Majeri you will find Villa EL, a holiday home only 7, 5 km drive from the nearby town of Buzet and 30 km away from the sea.
The house, originally dating from the olden days (1806), was completely restored in 2015. It extends on two floors: the ground floor houses the kitchen, dining room, living room completed with the fireplace and exit onto the balcony, and the toilet with a shower. On the first floor there are two double rooms, one single room as well as the bathroom with the balcony overlooking the swimming pool and garden.
The garden – yard includes the swimming pool, barbecue station, roofed terrace and parking spaces.
Surrounded by pristine nature the house stands in the vicinity of wine yards, olive groves and orchards, giving you the unique chance to taste homemade Istrian traditional food, local wine, olive oil as well as the world renown truffles. This is the ideal spot for those who love nature, walks, hiking and cycling, especially along the famous Parenzana track. Here you will find peace, tranquillity, relax with your friends or family and fill your batteries ready for new challenges.

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub
Wir waren 14 Tage in diesem Ferienhaus. Im Haus fehlte es an nichts. Sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, genauso die Außenanlage. Unsere Gastgeberin Brigita hat dem ganzen noch die Krone aufgesetzt. Volles Verwöhnprogramm mit Wein, Gemüsekorb, Olivenöl und Kuchen. Und gab es Fragen, kam sehr schnell eine Antwort. Wir würden auf alle Fälle wieder hinfahren. Erholen und Entspannen - dann Villa EL!!

Verblijf was hartstikke fijn. Mooi huis met groot zwembad. In de buurt voldoende te bezichtigen. Brigita is een hele fijne gastvrouw. In de woning waren alle basisvoorzieningen aanwezig zoals handdoeken, wasmachine, wasmiddel, schoonmaakmiddel etc. Het huis is goed onderhouden en ziet er top uit.

Exceptional property - very spacious, very clean, felt we were the first people staying there. Excellent facilities and they all worked.  Property had a premium feel. Recommendations - reserve table on the small terrace at the local in restaurent as Sovinjak, 30 min walk. Pula - better shopping than Porec and Piran and not as touristy. Better all round I thought. Treated to wine and Olive oil from Brigita as well as loads of veg - our host was very attentive. Area very quiet and tranquel.

Beautiful place to relax
This renovated old natural stone house is very beautiful and offers sufficient space for a family with 3 children. The house's appliances/equipment are modern and everything needed is available and in good working condition. The air condition is a bit special though and it takes a little while to get used to how it functions. But it cools reasonably well. The house is tastefully furnished, with care for details. The children enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. The house is located in a very beautiful, scenic landscape. The location is very quiet and perfect to relax and to take a break from a stressful work life. There are many beautiful little villages to visit in the area (15-30 min. to reach by car). It takes about 45 min. to 1h to drive to the coast. The landlord, Mme Brigita, is a lovely, caring and responsive lady. It is very easy to communicate with her and she was always available to provide any assistance. We will always keep fond memories of our stay in her house and will certainly come back at some beautiful time in the future!

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in diesem wunderschönen Ferienhaus. Es wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und es fehlte an nichts. Alles ist sehr sauber! In Wirklichkeit sieht es noch viel schöner aus, als man auf den Bildern sehen kann. Nach jedem Ausflug haben wir uns darauf gefreut, den Garten zu genießen, uns im Pool zu erfrischen und mit einem Glas Wein auf der Terrasse zu sitzen. Zudem ist Brigita eine sehr nette Vermieterin. Sie hat uns mit Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten, frischen Eiern, einer Torte, Öl und Weinen aus der Region verwöhnt. Dafür nochmals vielen Dank! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wonderful house

Beautiful cottage in scenic surroundings
The cottage is an absolute gem, in a very scenic landscape. The house, pool and garden has all the facilities you need, and is very well maintained. Brigita is the best host we have ever visited, and we will be back again. A lovely place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. 5 stars are not enough!

Sehr gute Gastgeberin, wunderschönes Haus in sehr schöner Umgebung. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der Garten und Pool wurden immer gereinigt. Ab und zu gab es sogar Eier, Salat und einen Kuchen. Es war alles sehr sauber. Handtücher in großen Mengen. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Danke Brigita für den schönen, erholsamen Urlaub. Viele Grüße Patric

Sehr schönes, top eingerichtetes Haus mit tollem Kamin, Klimaanlage für alle Zimmer. Die Vermieterin hat nahezu täglich die Außenanlagen gereinigt und morgens frische Eier, Salat u.a. Gemüse vom Hof gebracht. Weine und Öl aus der Region, sogar eine Torte gab's auch ! Dankeschön!

Highly recommended
The house was extremely clean and fully equipped. In the kitchen has lacked nothing. Even a basket with self-harvested vegetables and fresh eggs was given to us as a welcome. Brigita was incredibly nice and explained everything to us calmly and patiently. In between, the garbage was disposed of and the pool was cleaned. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a fantastic stay in Brigita’s property. The house was beautiful, very well-maintained and had lots of pots, pans and crockery etc so we could cook at home. The village and surrounding countryside was beautiful and there was a great restaurant in the nearby village where we were well looked after. Wir haben zwei sehr erholsame Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Ferienhaus verbracht! In diesem liebevoll eingerichteten Haus ist alles da - von der umfangreich ausgestatteten Küche, den gemütlichen Schlafräumen und Wohnbereich, einer großen Anzahl an Handtüchern und Bettwäsche bis hin zu dem herrlich gestalteten Garten mit Steingrill und dem wunderbaren Pool, der jeden zweiten Tag frühmorgens gereinigt wurde. Wir hatten einen sehr netten und unkomplizierten Kontakt zu Brigita und ihren Schwiegereltern, die uns reichlich mit Gartenerzeugnissen und leckerem Kuchen verwöhnten. Sie setzten alles daran, damit wir uns wohlfühlen konnten und das ist ihnen auch gelungen; vielen Dank dafür! Das Ferienhaus befindet sich in absolut ruhiger Lage in den nördlichen Hügeln von Istrien. Es gibt viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung und auch das Meer ist gut zu erreichen. Wir haben mehrere Abende in der Hafenstadt Poreč verbracht, sind durch die belebten Gassen geschlendert und haben in den Restaurants wunderbar zu Abend gegessen. Ein perfekter Urlaub, von dem wir noch lange zehren werden!

Immaculate holiday house in the Istrian hills
The property and the hospitality of the owner, Brigita was beyond our expectations and above all previous holiday experiences. The house and kitchen was thoroughly kitted out and attractively done. Pool - perfect for family fun and superbly clean. The surrounding landscape inviting for strolls amongst olive trees, vineyards and orchards. Brigita and family deserve special mention for the care they took in maintaining the property (very discreet) and their generosity in making us feel at home.

Wunderschönes Haus in absolut ruhiger Lage
Hier war ALLES perfekt! Vom ersten Kontakt der Buchung bis zur Abreise alles super! Die Vermieterin ist super nett und auch vor der Reise immer erreichbar. So kamen wir am Haus an und alles war wie auf den Bildern, ehr noch besser. Das Haus war sehr sauber und gepflegt, einfach mit liebe eingerichtet. Die Küche war top ausgestattet, genau wie die Bäder und Schlafzimmer. Der Urlaub konnte also sofort anfangen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und abgelegen, ca 10 min von Buzet entfernt. Man braucht zwar etwas bis zum Meer, dafür liegt man zentral, um Istrien zu erkunden. Das Haus liegt so, dass man sowohl die Ost- als auch die Westküste erkunden kann, auch am Kap waren wir in etwas mehr als einer Stunde. Nach den Ausflügen (und auch schon oft davor) war der tolle Pool die verdiente Abwechslung zum schönen Wetter. Wir können nur Gutes berichten und würden auch 6 Sterne geben wenn es möglich wäre! DANKE für die tolle Zeit mit vielen Erlebnissen und einer guten Portion Erholung!

Wunderschönes Haus mit herrlichem Pool mitten in der Natur
Von Brigita wurden wir herzlich empfangen mit vielen Überraschungen wie Wein, Olivenöl und einem großen Gemüsekorb. Sogar eine leckere Himbeertorte erwartete uns eines morgens. Das Haus hat alles was man benötigt und noch viel mehr und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
