A LOVELY COTTAGE WITH BAGS OF CHARACTER. Great communication with the owner, who met all our requests and had good local tips. Family highlight was the zoo and some very theatrical gibbons. Highly recommended. Mr. and Mrs S and family

WE, A NORWEGIAN AND GERMAN COUPLE, spent an awesome weekend in this lovely cottage which has welcomed us with a bottle of a tasty Saumur cremant. It was a perfect choice for us, well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the indian summer in the two gardens. The location is perfect for trips to explore the beautiful region, for which one weekend was too short. Communication was perfect, questions were answered promptly. We appreciate very much that you have a sense of your visitors needs, and that you consider for example also guidance to handle emergency situations (which we fortunately did not need).

THE PROPERTY WAS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED and very comfortably furnished, with a very good kitchen equipped with all utensils. It is a 10/15 minute drive to shops and restaurants but their is a very good local boulangerie within walking distance. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, with long walks by the river, the chance to relax in the garden with home cooking and a base to explore the Loire valley, then its perfect. Mr M. LATVIA

Merci Mme. D er amis

We (two couples) stayed in the cottage for a wonderful week in June. The setting is great if you want a quiet, relaxing place that is a short drive from culture and excitement. We had a wonderful time cooking in the well equipped kitchen and eating in one of the two delightful gardens. Angers and Saumur are a quick drive away (we didn't try use public transport but there is a bus stop a stones throw from the front door) and a boulangerie(sp?) a few minutes walk along the river-sode path.Mr D. and Friends

WE HAD A LOVELY TIME at Riverside Cottage - it is a very comfortable place to stay, full of French country charm. Our hosts Colin and Myriam were very helpful and quick to respond to our enquiries. Spring was definitely a great time to be there - with the gardens in full bloom! Mr. P - AUSTRALIA

THE COTTAGE WAS IN A PICTURESQUE LOCATION, right on the banks of the Loire. When we stayed, it was a bit chilly in the old stone cottage, but I can imagine it would be perfect in slightly warmer weather. Colin was very easy to contact, and kindly offered to provide us with an extra heater. The gardens are lovely - we unfortunately didn't get time to take advantage of the rhubarb! We would definitely recommend this place for those wanting to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Loire and for a relaxing getaway. Mme. A.

Fantastic location for exploring

Super clean throughout, the house has a comfortable living room and well supplied kitchen. Charming front and rear gardens which has a BBQ and large table for outdoor dining. House is quiet despite being near the road, as it's set down from the levée. The two upstairs bedrooms are actually interlinked (this wasn't as clear as we'd have expected on the property description) meaning there's no independent privacy in the master bedroom for nighttime toilet visits which was important for our particular family dynamic. Being right beside the Loire riverside path was the best thing for us; a 1km stroll to local bread shop and bar, a 2.5k walk to Les Rosiers for restaurants, or a 5k walk in the opposite direction for another restaurant! Great for running too (if that's your thing), and would be just as ideal for cycling to go even further. We also saw canoeing/kayaking on the river! Overall, a great place to relax.

Perfect Cottage

The cottage is exactly advertised and in a perfect spot if you want some rural peace. The walks along the river to the local village are a must. Colin and Miriam met us upon arrival and extremely helpful getting us settled. If you enjoy cooking, the cottage has everything you will ever need. We will definitely be back.

A delightful cottage and gardens.

An old stone cottage built beside the road and across from the Loire River. Walk down the steps to a small pretty garden with lounging chairs and other seating. It allows the sunlight to shine into the kitchen and provides a pleasant aspect to look out the window. Another garden on the other side of the house ensures serenity morning and afternoon. It was nice to be able to hang out our washing on the line for natural drying. We enjoyed every moment and our hosts Myriam and Colin were very friendly and greeted us with a bottle of sparkling white wine. Colin provided us with lots of information and special places to see and do around the Loire Valley. There was a compendium with all necessary information and phone numbers, including in case of medical emergencies. Great location to the west side of the Loire Valley. Both bedrooms were upstairs and very comfortable and having an upstairs toilet and sink a great bonus. The kitchen was well stocked and extra tea and coffee there if we had need of them. English channels on the large television was a lovely surprise for overseas travellers who rarely get English stations. The interior was beautifully and tastefully appointed. The internet was great the whole time we were there. No complaints about this property and a big thank you to Myriam and Colin for their hospitality

A jewel.

The property is wonderful and comfortable. It has everything you need and more. Sofas and beds are big and comfortable. The house is cool in the hot weather and located in a quiet convenient location. We would definitely return which is not something we do regularly. The owners where helpful and on the end of a phone if you needed anything. Highly recommended
