Great location

Wonderful location as we were in town for Cal Ripken baseball. The whole team stayed in this neighborhood and it was close to everything, but still felt isolated from the bustle of Pigeon Forge. Very responsive host, clean cabin, and the game room/loft kept the kids entertained.

Overall Good Stay

The cleanliness could have been better. It wasn’t dirty by any means but didn’t have the clean sparkle. Most areas of the cabin seemed outdated and the porch furniture was not clean. We had to use the water hose to rinse them off. The trees are overgrown and could not access the trash bins. Poison Ivy growing between wood slats on porch that we also washed away as some in our group was very allergic. We had an enjoyable stay, but some up keeping would help the appearance.

Waste Cabin we’ve ever stayed in!!!

Horrible experience from the start. Had to call and get the code to even get in!! Never received check in are check out info!! Walked into the cabin it was a complete mess! With pieces of wood and styrofoam all over the kitchen on the stove and cabinets up stairs all over the pool table. Furniture was knocked over upstairs. Pull out couch is broken so it’s just in the way. Called emailed and messaged on VRBO owner wanted me to send pics said they were gonna send cleaners never did! And wouldn’t answer my calls are emails. Cabin isn’t clean at all!! The floors were nasty! And there isn’t any cleaning supplies are even a mop in the cabin! WiFi went on and off the whole time! Tub in master bedroom is broken. The jets do not work! The beds upstairs the sheets weren’t even on the bed! Just laying in the made bad. Our family has stayed in many cabins in Tn and Georgia! And this was the worst experience we’ve ever had! Save your money! If you’re wanting to relax on your vacation and not have to clean as soon as you walk through your door! For what it cost a night! You expect more than what we got! Went back and read all the reviews and wouldn’t have booked this place if I’d done so in the first place! FYI since the owner doesn’t respond to there guest! Your problem is a squirrel. Which I completely understand when your in the mountains. But you need to have someone check your cabin before there check in!! This was completely unacceptable!! Which you don’t answer so you don’t care!

Wonderful trip

We had an amazing stay at Happy Trails. The cabin is in a great resort in an awesome location. Four adults stayed comfortably and enjoyed cooking here for our stay.

Beautiful Cabin, Needs Some TLC

Beautiful cabin in Bear Creek Crossing. Living room furniture being replaced on November 9. Really needed. Lovely neighborhood high up in the Smokies. Close to restaurants & shopping by the back roads. We are Senior citizens and the steps and terrain around the cabin were hard to navigate. Wireless internet was good. 4 people on it and no problems. It was the best temperature regulated cabin we have ever stayed in. Great fireplace. Large bedrooms with King beds. Bed linens need replacing. Baths and kitchen had nice towels and plenty of hot water. The cabin’s cleaning service needs to do a better job of cleaning general areas. Baths were clean and kitchen . Cobwebs around fireplace. Pool table and games in loft but we didn’t use the area.

Wasn't ready for guests

While we really loved the location, hot tub, and layout of the cabin, we unfortunately arrived to find 2 visibly broken couches. The sectional in the listing photos had the middle part busted and touching the floor with the metal bars exposed and the upstairs pullout was stuck partially open with the broken hinges sticking out. Thankfully our kids were older so we could keep them off those areas but I can't imagine having arrived with little ones. I told the manager and they just replied they were aware. There was also a screw that was sticking up from one of the kitchen chairs that cut my husband through his jeans when he sat down. The smoke detectors were not attached and the deck had 2 hoses left laying out across half the wrap around porch. Again, I'm so glad we didn't have little kids. Managers were informed about all of this with no more of a response than thanks for letting me know. It truly looked like they weren't expecting guests even though I booked months in advance and had recently asked about parking.

Lots of broken stuff

When we arrived the hide a bed couch was broken couldn’t use video game was broken then go to hot tub to turn it on and it wasn’t working either but he did fix the hot tub only got to use it 2 days though the recliner were broken the couch was worn out in the middle it was sunk in and I paid almost 300 a night and we stayed 4 nights I thought maybe he would have offered a discount but didn’t

Unfortunate to have to leave this review

Check in process was easy. Cleanliness was just ok. The living room tv was not working. The couch cushion was deflated so they put a pillow over it to sit on. I rented this cabin for the hot tub and tried to work it the first night and it wouldn’t. Emailed twice, called the numbers provided. Couldn’t get anyone to respond. I finally had to go through vrbo and the owner said he would send someone out and never did. Zero communication whatsoever. It’s sad the stay turned out this way.

Very nice simple living

It was a very enjoyable stay for my family of 6. Had plenty of room for kids to spread out and each feel like they had there own space. It was very nice to have a whole house to go back to every day after a long day of activities! Thank you to the host for all the information and help while we were staying at there home.

Quick spring break

We brought the kids to Tn to go to Dollywood and rented this cabin. I do believe they could have skipped Dollywood and had just as much fun. View is very nice and several different ways to get into town so traffic doesn’t bother you as much. Only issue we had was the ac didn’t want run first night but they had it repaired the very next morning so we could keep right on having a good time. Very highly recommend and we will be back!!!

Nice cabin

Pros- great location to downtown activities. My kiddos loved the games the cabin had to offer, they had a great time! Lots of sleep options for my kiddos. The indoor pool was a nice bonus during this time of year. The putt-putt was fun too. Overall, it was a nice family cabin and I would recommend. Cons- it desperately needs a deep clean, the toliet/tubs/countertops were clean but almost everything else was very dusty. The fire place isn’t an actual fireplace, it’s a heater with glowing “ambers” and it wasn’t working. The tv remote wasn’t set up either, it might have been new which is why it wasn’t connected, but it was a bummer, we could only watch provided dvds and the selection wasn’t the best. Another issue is the kitchen supplies/dishes/utensils- there was only one spoon, one wine glass, one trash bag for our 4 day stay.

Great property. The reviews are accurate - you are parked on a big hill and the air hockey table is gone. However there is a twin over full bunk and an arcade game that isn’t listed!! Close to all things!

10th Anniversary getaway with family

Cabin is built nicely and laid out nicely, but after driving for 9 hrs and get there at night having to call and get the code for the cabin. The person seemed annoyed that we called. Cabin needs Deep-Cleaned, dusted, and appliances need replaced. Microwave was broke and piece just hanging, used sippy cup found in the middle compartment in the one couch. Booked the cabin because was excited to play air-hockey and found No air-hockey table there like the listing on Vrbo showed (pictures need updated!), opened up candy on the loft laying, confetti gold circles all over the floors throughout the cabin (not sure if the cabin was swept?), big safety pin found in the washer after doing 2 loads of towels and washcloths because there wasn’t enough for all the family without going out to buy more. Dryer lint holder was broke and wouldn’t stay together when drying clothes. Allergies were really messed up the first couple days from being there due to a huge amount of dust laying on the headboard and stand beside the bed in bedroom 1 (I took it upon myself to dust, as a guest). Dirty kitchen utensils that weren’t washed, went to grab the griddle under the sink and it was loaded with grease! Fireplace was deceiving, didn’t throw out any warm air like a fireplace should. For checkout you had to go around and gather all the trash out of the trash cans and dispose of it (as a guest you shouldn’t have to do that, that should be the housekeepers job), didn’t use the whirlpool in the bedroom so not sure how it worked, need more lights throughout the cabin like above the whirlpool to see, over the sink, bathrooms the showers were dark. Usually don’t give feedback like this but was disappointed for the price we paid to stay, a lot of work could be put into the cabin!

Cabin was nice

Overall the cabin was nice and clean. Quiet. Outside needs repairs. The porch railing is rotten in one place. Could be dangerous because it is where there is a big drop off. Toilet was clogged when we got there, but maintenance took care of it. Parking is tricky. It’s a very steep hill you have to park on. Entrance door is tricky to get into. Didn’t use the hot tub so no comment on that. Will not rent again mainly because of the incline we had to park on. We are older and it made it difficult to get in and out of the car.

Mountain getaway

Overall the experience was good. My children enjoyed their stay. They were disappointed that the air hockey table was not there like it was shown in the pictures. It was clean but not as clean as I would have liked it. The floors were dusty along with the dining chairs. I emailed the owner about arriving early but never received an email back. Overall the stay was good. It was easy to check in and pretty clean. We got there at dark so it was difficult to find the correct cabin due to poor lighting on the cabin numbers. My expectations were high due to the reviews so I was slightly disappointed but would probably stay again.

Memorable Moments!

This was a family trip, 5 adults, 3 kids & a toddler & there was plenty of room. Although the kitchen/living area is a tad smaller than it appears on the panoramic photos it's still great & felt spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed including an ice making refrigerator. There were several meals prepared & we had everything needed to cook. At least one sofa reclines, we didn't try the other. The bedrooms were spacious and had their own bathroom. There is no bathroom in the common area. The upstairs loft is perfect, it had a bunkbed twin/over queen I believe and it wasn't listed in the description before our arrival so it was a nice surprise. A couple nice couches, seperate twin bed, pool table, arcade center with all the favorite games, I saw a wii game system & games & still enough space for my daughter to sleep on a queen air mattress. We really enjoyed the loft. The indoor jacuzzi tub a plus, clean outdoor hot tub, nice sitting area on the wrap around deck. Yes the cabin does sit on an incline when parking but we had no issues an emergency brake didn't fix. The property manager kept in contact w/emails & all codes. The indoor pool was open & there are golf clubs & balls in the bedroom closet for putt putt. My only recommendation would be to update the beds & reclining sofas...it's time. All in all we had a great time, didn't wanna leave, would come back tomorrow if we could.
