Located on SIX ACRES near the very top of a mountain.... at the end of a private road... surrounded by National Forest!

This beautiful vacation spot offers long-range and seemingly endless views from two levels of balconies and it borders the National Forest for miles of hiking trails. With abundant wildlife, a million-dollar kitchen, spacious common living areas, a living room, and plenty of sleeping quarters, this vacation destination is sure to please.

Featuring 5 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms, this lovely 2-story vacation home accommodates 12 people comfortably with its 2,800 s.f. of living space with lots of balcony, porch, and open deck space.

There is a new 6-person hot tub outside, overlooking the mountains, that is available for an extra $50 cleaning and usage fee. Please let us know when booking if you would like to use this added amenity.

Located near the historic cities of Clayton, GA and Franklin, NC... this setting is perfect for those seeking hiking, fishing, zip lining, rafting, sightseeing,, or just a great setting for family gatherings or reunions.

Wonderful Mountain Stay

Seven of us stayed at this VRBO for a long girls weekend/reunion at the end of May and we had such a wonderful time. The views are beautiful and so incredible in the morning looking down on the clouds in the valley below. The kitchen is absolutely huge and well stocked. The beds are super comfortable. One thing we didn’t realize when booking is that there is no central AC, however with the freestanding AC units in most of the rooms and fans we were completely comfortable all weekend. Although with such beautiful views and mountain breezes we spent much of the weekend on the wonderful screened in porch. Initially I was concerned about the parking situation but the owners recently paved the driveway to the house making parking really easy. A state park is nearby so we enjoyed a little hiking. Thank you Jenny and Joe for sharing your wonderful vacation home with us. It was such a blessing to our group.

Perfect Getaway

Visit with family

The property was beautiful and we loved how private and quiet it was. It was clean and had everything we needed. We didn’t stay that long so we didn’t really cook in the kitchen but I would have loved to cook in that kitchen. If we ever come back to the area we would absolutely love to stay again.

Fall Mountain Trip 2023

What a wonderful and relaxing 5 day trip to the north Georgia mountains. We were 3 couples who spent the time exploring the area, shopping and dining. We ate out at lunch and grilled out and enjoyed the view in the evenings. We enjoyed the large kitchen, the comfortable TV area, hot tub, and of course, the amazing overlook. We took day trips to the Foxfire museum, Black Rock Mountain State Park, Highlands, and 12 Spies Vineyards.

My Retirement Dream

with a few "ageing in place" upgrades, this would be my dream home in my dream location. we loved everything. especially the porch and kitchen! Joe and Jenny were very responsive, the gueat guide was very useful, the only thing missing was me not seeing any bears. Can't wait to go back

Great views and location.

We really enjoyed the huge kitchen & dining room, in fact, we spent the majority of our time hanging out at the dining room table. The patio was fantastic as well with the fire pit and the hot tub. Highly recommend.

A Piece of Paradise!

What a great place! The pictures do not do it justice in the least. The view is the best we’ve ever seen. Everything is well appointed and you don’t even need to leave the property to have a great time. Our dog Lenny love the cabin too. We enjoyed every moment. Great Spot - Views, Host, Great Cabin

10 of us spend 3 days enjoying the gorgeous mountain views, the back porch, games, the hot tub, and especially the kitchen. We planned on dining out for most of the trip but the kitchen was spacious we wound up cooking much more than planned. Joe was super responsive with questions and the a lot of care was clearly put into ensuring guests get the most out of the property and the surrounding area. Great choice!

Fantastic week at Eagles Nest

The home was amazing with awesome views! The home was spacious and well stocked with the basic essentials. The instructions for the house were clear and precise and communication with the owner was easy and quick. The trip up the mountain was not difficult even with some rain…most of the way up the mountain is paved. We look forward to another stay at Eagles Nest!

Such a Fun Stay!

We LOVED our visit to Eagle's Nest! Our whole family came along (young adult kids ages 23, 21, 20 & 18) plus my husband's mom. Everyone had a blast! The house is really large and very accommodating and comfortable for a group with lots of bedrooms, beds and lots of areas to hang out. The screened-in porch is lovely and probably where we spend most of our time just visiting with one another, playing games, etc. The kitchen is huge! Lots of space to cook and tons of cabinets. The overall home is clean, inviting and just lovely. And Rabun Gap is a fantastic area with lots to do - hiking, cute nearby towns and restaurants if you'd like to eat out. We even saw bears outside the home... Nothing scary just real life nature at its best. Overall a 5-star rating. Thank you for giving our family this opportunity to vacation together!

Amazing view cabin

We enjoyed our stay here. The view is so beautiful, day or night. Beds were very comfortable. The fireplace and the cozy kitchen are where we spent most of the time.

This place is amazing! The view takes your breath away! Home is so peaceful and comfy!

Such a wonderful trip! We hiked, shopped, roasted marshmallows, and played games. The view from the hot tub was amazing! Hosts were so welcoming and attentive! Will definitely be back!

Mountain Getaway with Great Views

This home is as advertised. It has the feeling of "home" with the great mountain views and beautiful Fall scenery we wanted. The hot tub, hammock, well equipped kitchen, games, etc. made for an enjoyable experience. Everyone in my family gave it a thumbs up (which is a rare achievement). *Bonus for the attentiveness of the owners who were very responsive when I texted with questions.

Fantastic views from mountain top

First, come for the view. It is amazing. Soaking in the hot tub outside looking at the view was our favorite part of the trip. Second, we had some minor issues during our stay, but the owners are so quick and responsive. They made everything so easy and were always just a text away. The house itself is located on top of a mountain. The drive up is a bit intimidating, and we were there during summertime. However, the house is beautiful. It is big, spacious, and nicely decorated. Some of the bedrooms don’t have closets, but there are clothes racks to use instead. The beds are all super comfy, and there are plenty of blankets. We spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining room, out on the big screened in downstairs porch, or in the hot tub. Helen, rafting, hiking, zip lining, gem mining are all less than an hour away. Thank you Eagle’s Nest for an amazing family vacation!

Family vacation
