Stroll along the white sandy beaches of Lanikai Beach, named one of the top 10 beaches in the world by 2014 Travelers Choice! Only a 5 minute drive from our stunning studio. We are situated on a picturesque, family-friendly road with little road noise and traffic. Breathtaking Kailua Beach is 0.8 miles away and will only take you 15 minutes to walk or 3 minutes to drive. Charming Kailua Town is also only a 12 minute walk away (0.6 miles) where you will find restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. Take a stroll through Whole Foods, try a shave ice with local flavors like Lilikoi, Mango or Pineapple at Island Snow or grab a coffee from Kalapawai Beach Café and walk the beach.

You will discover lush, tranquil tropical gardens, a gorgeous lily pond complete with a waterfall and fragrant flowers on the property. The 10,000 square-foot shared property offers peace and quiet, making it the perfect refuge to come home to after a long day exploring the island. Unwind in the shared sparkling salt-water pool and spa that boasts a waterfall. Pool/spa/barbeque and laundry are shared with other vacation rentals on the same property.

The unit features Hawaiian culture through stunning artwork, tropical décor with an island feel. The studio unit has 700 square feet of living space with a small garden lanai. Unwind in the chairs on your private garden lanai and get lost in your favorite book. This unit is perfect for guests wanting to cook as it comes fully furnished with a full kitchen: stove, fridge, microwave and private BBQ. A sparkling salt-water pool and spa is available in the backyard for your use along with lounging chairs. After a long day in the Hawaiian sun, you can rest your head on a sublime Queen Bed and cool off with a top of the line A/C wall unit and watch a movie on the Smart TV. The bathroom has a hand-painted topical sink and stand-up shower. Free WIFI is available so you can keep up with emails or work remotely and post all of your vacation photos. There is also a shared laundry facility on site and one off-street parking stall.

We have beach chairs, boogie boards and other fun beach items available for our guests to use as well. There is no smoking on site and maximum occupancy for the unit is two.

We are here to offer you the best Hawaiian hospitality and assist you in having a wonderful relaxing time here in Kailua! We require a 50% deposit through the VRBO site. Great place!
After an initial small amount of confusion around which room was ours (it doesn’t tell you when you book and there are no room names on the doors), we checked in easily after speaking to the lovely owner over the phone. It is such a beautiful room and has everything you need including great cooking facilities, a washing machine, aircon and a fan. The swimming pool is great after a hot day out and it’s located about 15mins wall from the shops and close to Kailua Bay and Lanikai. Easy to park as well. Very comfortable night sleep and peaceful area away from the craziness of Waikiki. Thank you for hosting us!

Lovely studio apartment in wonderful neighborhood.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kailua at Suzanne's studio. It was clean and comfortable and was tastefully decorated especially with Suzanne's beautiful art. An added bonus was the pool and amenities such as a beach umbrella and chairs as well as boogie boards and cooler bags. This made going to the beach extremely convenient and easy. We were so appreciative that those items were available for us to borrow. The only glitch was when we arrived the sliding door had not been left open which was in our check in instructions on VRBO. We were unable to reach the property manager, but fortunately other tenants in another unit had the lockbox combination for the keys. Apparently, they had received an additional email with further instructions which we never received. I would just be sure to confirm this information with the property manager before arriving. Other than that, our stay was perfect and we would gladly stay here again.

Great place to stay!
We loved Kailua. We’ve been to Hawaii 3 times now and this was the best. The studio had everything we needed and was very clean. The town was quaint with lots of places to eat. Try Boots and Kimo for the best macadamia nut sauce on your pancakes! Would recommend staying here.

Beautiful property and great location.
We were very comfortable in this rental. The backyard pool is AMAZING to come home to after a day of exploring. We loved Kailua, it was so relaxing after four hectic days in Waikiki. This is a good jumping off point to access the Noth Shore which is stunning.

Fantastic
Perfect studio. Full kitchen, beautiful bathroom, very comfortable bed. Lovely covered private outdoor space with comfy furniture, lights strung - a cozy place to read or eat dinner at in the evening. Shared backyard is gorgeous with pool, hot tub and lounging chairs. The best beach ever- Kailu- is within walking distance! Awesome for catching the sunrise. The town is in walking distance too. Fun farmers market with tons of food vendors on Thursday evenings. Best holiday ever!

This was a lovely studio. Full kitchen with lots of pots, pans, tool and even some key condiments and salt,pepper, etc. from prior guests which I used happily. Also, it was very nice to see Suzanne's art embedded in the studio (bath sink, shower tiles, etc.) with both big and small pieces to take home. Great wifi, parking, access. Due to rain and my schedule I never got to use the pool and spa tub, but it looked inviting. One note: I am short; this room is styled for tall. I literally used a stool to get into the bed, and my feet did not touch the floor well at table, so I was not able to sit long at the table for the computer work I needed to do, so went out to forage for coffee shops/library to work. Next time I will just go to the nearby GoodWill and buy a more comfy (for me) desk/table chair.

Amazing location and host!
The unit was perfect and was big enough for two people. I felt complete privacy when I was there. The pool was very refreshing to dip in after swimming in the beach which is very close by! The house is very conveniently located between town and the beach. Lastly, the host was very gracious and make sure to give us a privacy and it was like no one was there! I loved the peace and quiet surroundings.

A little slice of heaven in a piece of paradise.
It was such a delight to come back to Kailua and stay in a cosy little place close to the beach with everything you could want. The pool and hot tub were a real treat and everything worked. My wife is a former kama’aina who needs to bury her feet in the gorgeous sands of Kailua beach every year or two. This was made so easy with Susanne’s lovely property in walking distance of the beach. We make it a rule that whenever we return to Hawaii, we bring a little piece of art home with us. So it was a wonderful surprise and an added bonus to be surrounded by Susanne’s wonderful artworks. The hard part was choosing what to bring home to Australia. In the end, we came away with 3 pieces to add to our Hawaiian collection which already includes several Wylands also purchased in Hawaii. We felt like we were in our own little world with everything laid on. Great hospitality from Joy, the property manager who also helped us with the art. The kitchen was well stocked with most necessities which was better than we had found in other places. We do try to leave things as we find them, but I had to do a sharpening job on a couple of knives to make them useable. Just some other little things we liked. A good supply of laundry and dish detergent, condiments etc were all there for us. Just brilliant. Beach towels , chairs and boogie boards were all available for use, although maybe the boards are getting close to their use by date. Everything was clean , the bed was comfortable and the furnishings typical Hawaiin. Just what we were looking for. All in all, a great place to stay and soak up the magic that is Kailua.

Perfect retreat! Great host!
Coconut Cabana was perfect for the two of us. It was conveniently located near Kailua town and the beach. It was also clean, fully stocked, tranquil, and welcoming. We both had some work to knockout and it had a great internet connection! Be sure to find time to relax in the pool and hot tub! Thanks Susanne, we’ll definitely be back.

everything we could of wanted and more!
The studio had a lovely warm and welcoming feel to it and was very private, the only people we saw during our 4 night stay were when we bumped into some other guests in the driveway. The house is located in a quiet street but is reasonably close to town which has plenty of shopping on offer and a large range of restaurants and eateries. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great during our stay so we didn’t get a chance to utilize any of the beach equipment or bikes, but we had a car so had no problem getting to other places on the island during our stay. It was the first time we’ve done this style of accommodation so couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Had a wonderful stay in this studio, perfect get away for my husband and I. Very quiet and peaceful, nice decor, everything you could need. Shower was great, bed was nice although a bit soft (for us) and great kitchen. The best part was how close to Kailua beach, could walk in 10 minutes and we were able to use Suzanne’s bikes! Highly recommend!

Wonderful Studio in Kailua
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Susanne's lovely studio in Kailua. It is nicely furnished and well equipped. Its location is near Kailua town center which has everything to offer. A pleasant and healthy stroll through neighborhood passing a small park takes me to the beautiful Kailua Beach. And as golfers, this property is within 15 minute drive to at least 5 wonderful golf courses showcasing various challenging levels. Susanne is gracious and generous with bikes, helmets, and other available crafts. The best testament is how well my husband slept and rested at this place. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Private & quiet, close to both beach and town
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Kailua. Susanne’s studio was everything we hoped for. Very clean and nicely furnished, with a Hawaiian charm and personal touches throughout with Susanne’s artwork. The bed was super comfy, and we had plenty of fresh towels and linens. Having air conditioning made for a very peaceful sleep. We loved the vaulted ceiling which made the unit feel airy and spacious. Susanne has thought of everything, and we enjoyed having access to the beach chairs, beach umbrella and boogie boards, as well as a cooler for our day trips around the island. The location of this studio can’t be beat – a short drive to either Lanikai Beach, Kailua Beach or Kalama Beach. It was an easy drive to either the North Shore or Waikiki, so we enjoyed exploring the island by car. At the end of a busy day, we felt like we were coming ‘home’. Susanne looked after every detail and the rental process, arrival, checkout was a breeze. We appreciated having the kitchen stocked with some basic supplies. We couldn't have been more pleased, and look forward to coming back here again!
