Great location for touring D-Day sites

Our family of 7 loved this property. Perfect location for accessing all of the DDay sites. The house is beautiful and sized well. Kitchen, dining room, living room and plenty of beds. I would avoid if you have mobility issues though

Fantastic experience

We stayed at this home for 8 days to visit Normandy’m with two families. We loved it. The house is unique, comfortable, and a short walk to the beach. We loved the location. Close to Pont-en-Bessin and Bayeux. Highly recommend.

Country Charm

Beautiful house with plenty of privacy. A great place to escape to, and just realize stores and coffee shops are not within walking distance. We enjoyed the beautiful backyard and the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Lovely stay in the Normandy Area

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Nice walk to the beach for pretty sunsets, we enjoyed the garden area for some afternoon wine and also appreciated the easy access to the Normandy WWII sites.

Charming historic home

I stayed here with my family in May 2024. Home is lovely, just as described. It had everything we needed and was close to Omaha Beach. The grocery store was a quick drive. Pretty backyard that we relaxed in the evening. As mentioned it does have many stairs but was not a problem. We enjoyed our stay there.

Best FarmHouse for big bunch

This was one of the best places we stayed in Normandy. We did not know what to expect for a group of 10. We couldn’t be happier. It was a perfect place to group together and explore treasured places. Lots of room , very clean, large rooms and kitchen well Equipped. Was so close to the town to have dinner 7min away! Thank you from all of us to the best trip from the USA! Merci Bequcoup

Confusing liting

The listing clearly stated that towels and bedding were supplied. On arrival we were asked for a fee for towels and bedding. I haven’t paid and have complained to Vrbo. That said, the house was fantastic

Excellent for large group exploring Normandy

Excellent time at Admiralty House with a group of 8 friends. Location perfect for exploring D-Day beaches and Bayeux (20 mins away). A five minute walk down the road takes you to the beach and a further 5 mins and you can see Omaha Beach. Dining room perfect for large group meals and we were very fortunate with the weather so garden and BBQ were well used. Things to note are parking at the house only has enough space for two cars but there is plenty of parking 1 minute round the corner. There is a 15 euro charge for bedding and towels which you have to pay in cash. However the house is excellently appointed and communication with the owner was easy.

D Day Beaches tour

Excellent location for our tour to see all the beaches and battlefields. Ten single men in the group of ages 60-75. All enjoyed the garden and house facilities. We were supprised that the house displayed no D Day memorabila or period pictures, nor any literature as to how village was affected during WW2. The welcome pack was in French only so not very helpful for a non french speaker. In property listing no mention of additional charges for linen and towels. It could be a very popular rental for D Day Brits with some additional effort.

Excellent stay at a charming house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old home. The amenities were perfect. There was plenty of room and since we love to cook they had everything needed to prepare and serve multiple meals for 8 people. The grounds of this charming house were perfect (the wind didn't cooperate) and we were able to use the fire pit on a couple of occasions. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us and would be comfortable with 10. The internet and TV was a nice to have for late evening catching up on work or chatting with friends. The only thing I would say negative about the stay was that we had to pay 15 Euros each (120 Euros for the group) cash to be able to use their sheets and towels (who travels overseas with their own sheets and towels). I have never had to pay extra for sheets and towels when using a VBRO. It should be put into the cost of the stay not pay cash when you get their. Other than that this is a beautiful house and we would stay there again.

The photo of the property is very misleading - sort of like a false "glamor shot" on a dating website. the property is in a very crowded neighborhood, driveway access requires one to back any vehicle in, as there is no room to turn a vehicle around, and egress could be unsafe if one had to back out onto the narrow street. The interior has a number of unsafe areas where one could trip. Furniture is not comfortable, area rugs beside the master bed is very slippery - we shoved it under the bed for our own safety. There is a total lack of safety features in the bathing tubs and showers - no grab bars, etc.. One needs a vehicle to get food, eat out, or go anywhere: Most GPS could not fine the property, We were told to be out of the upstairs by 9AM for the cleaners: This is not the "10AM" checkout as advertised. We complied with the 9AM thing, and exited the property by 10AM. We would never stay in this property again. There is a nice path to the beach, which is worth the walk. Sometimes there is a food truck located at the street entrance - we did not eat there. At lease the description of it being a very old house is accurate. My advice - get another propriety.

Oud huis dat goed gerenoveerd is. Gezellig ingedeeld in alle kamers. Sommige bedden waren te klein (vooral bij een lengte van 1.90m). Wij hebben allemaal genoten van het verblijf. Goede ligging om veel te bezichtigen.

Rural quaint stay

Very large accommodations much more than our group of 5 adults needed. Old school furnishings, which were nice. The outside, walled garden area was nice, which we used often. The kitchen was very well equipped with china for 20 plus guests. We were surprised that there was a 15 euro fee per person for sheets and towels. Didn't realize this until the day we arrived. I did not see this in the price information when we booked. Take this into account when comparing price. First time having this type of fee added. Wish we would have known before we booked. For a large group this could be a large expense.

Maison très agréable et très bien équipée au rez-de-chaussée. A l’étage de belles chambres et sdb, le seul bémol concerne la literie qui est très disparate et peu confortable ! Dommage…mais pour 2 nuits nous avons fait avec ! Les extérieurs sont agréables avec un beau jardin clos.

Summer in Normandy

My family and I stayed in this wonderful property in August. Having stayed in MANY holiday homes over the years we were delighted with the house. It is the best equipped that we have ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted, lots of beds and bedrooms to cater for our very mixed party and the garden was a joy for adults and kids alike. However we most appreciated the location. Its proximity to the beaches, shops and attractions won us over. An added bonus was the EV charging station at the end of the road. A boon to new EV users who had been somewhat nervous of travel outside the UK.
