Well Renovated 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom Condo in the Carousel! Beautiful views from the 17th floor unobstructed by other parts of the building that can block beach views if you are on the 11th floor or lower.
We also just did new floors from the front door to the Beach Side Balcony! Older (actually it was only 5 years old but not living up to our standard!) carpet and engineered wood flooring was replaced with new top of the line flooring.
Second bedroom features QUEEN, FULL and Twin (Full under Twin Pyramid bunk). Unit also has the largest hot water heater we could fit in the unit so that when the whole family comes up from the beach to go to dinner, everyone gets a hot shower, not just the first 2 people.
New Couch updated in Spring 2023! Flat screen tv in EVERY ROOM.
Bay side balcony furniture update in Spring of 2023 as well!
PERFECT FOR REMOTE WORK OR STUDIES!
Dedicated Wi-Fi with a cable modem and router in the unit just for this condo. Plus it has increased bandwidth so everyone can be online at the same time. 3x the bandwidth that the carousel shared Wi-Fi has for the whole building so when parents need to work remotely and kids need to attend classes online or everyone wants stream different movies on a rainy day you will not be lagging like the guests of other units without a dedicated connection. Then when finished with work/school there is still a lot to do in Ocean City! Visit https://ococean.com/events for the latest details on up coming events like the many St Patrick's day events this year. Or come for the amazing ocean and bay side views as you and your significant other spent Valentine's day together in romantic Ocean City. If you have never been in the off season you don't know what you are missing. With parades and other holiday season events Ocean City MD is a great location for a long weekend away from the house or even more.
Are you a first responder, front line medical worker, teacher, member of law enforcement or military looking to book during the off season? If so message me before booking for details to request an extra discount to thank you for helping keep us all safe and healthy during these crazy times!
If your kids still attend school remotely, my guests have found that with the dedicated Wi-Fi and good amount of desk space they rarely need to leave the safety of the condo for work/school from home and multiple students can study without feature of low bandwidth.
Imagine sitting on a private balcony drinking a hot beverage while watching the waves as you attend your zoom/skype/slack calls. Not a person who likes it even a little cold, then sit at the table just inside enjoying panoramic views of the ocean warm because the brand new HVAC unit does an amazing job keeping you comfortable at any temperature.
Peak Season (Mid May to end of Sept) 7 day weekly Rentals only. Rentals run Sunday to Sunday (avoid the lines for Saturday Check-in which is a huge plus!).
Off-Season (Oct to Mid May) 3 day minimum with check-in any day of the week. In the off season discounts are available for longer term rentals.
Every room in this unit has been renovated in the last 4 years. You will not be disappointed with the beds or appliances! Don't just take my word, our guest reviews are honest and from people just like yourself who have had hit and miss experiences with other rentals. Our 5 star rating is something we are very proud of and we take our guests needs extremely seriously so we maintain that score! We do a major project each year and this winter was the flooring (again). We had new engineered wood flooring that was supposed to be great for the sea and salt air, but just didn't hold up to the standards we have for our home. This is a home away from home, not a rental we are trying to get the most money out of. Each thing we put in is done based on the criteria that it is what we would have at home if we lived there full time, not what we can get the most money out of renting. So in 2023, we replaced the wood flooring that was separating with new porcelain tile from the front door to the ocean side balcony! It looks great and some of the photos show the new flooring while some still have the older carpets. If there is any question which is updated, the pictures with wall to wall carpet in the living room are the older photos.
Our goal has always been to make it look like we would want if we lived there full time. We have never cut corners on what we purchase for the condo because we believe that quality matters and good renters will want to return to somewhere they know will be great. The last thing you want to do on vacation is deal with broken or broke down appliances then try to sleep on the lumpy old mattress someone brought from their home when they got new mattresses at home (this happens far more often than you would like to think with rental homes). We budget for repairs and renovations every year. For example we had a renter report the washing machine was not spinning the laundry well so everything needed at least 2 times in the dryer to get dry in July. Instead of playing games trying to patch the problems we ordered a brand new washer and dryer which was there within 2 weeks (ok, the dryer actually took an extra 2 weeks due to back order but the old one was working great and we did have a tech there the next day to patch the washer so it would at least work for the 2 weeks needed to get the new washer delivered).
Like taking warm showers? We installed the largest hot water heater allowed by code for the condo (close to triple the capacity of standard units found in other ocean city rental condos. That means you don't have to wait 30 minutes after someone else took a shower to get warm water! We have had families of 8 come up from the beach and everyone got a hot shower (1 in each shower, 2 at a time) back to back and no complaints from the last people that they ran out of hot water. Most units still have the 25 gallon unit tucked in a corner or under a counter somewhere. With a 25 gallon unit you are lucky to get 2 maybe 3 people showered before you need to wait 30 minutes for more hot water.
Master Bedroom: King Size Bed (replaced mattress in 2019), Flat Screen TV with xfinity cable, On Suite Bathroom with new shower stall (renovated in spring of 2019). Inside bathroom is door to laundry room with extra large size washer and dryer (in unit, no need to go somewhere else). The new washer/dryer are so quiet I cannot tell if they are running without going all the way into the laundry room, so if you have lite sleeper and need to wash clothes overnight you are not going to be bothered by your overnight laundry.
Second Bedroom: Queen Size Bed, Full Size/Twin pyramid bunk bed. Small tv with Xfinity cable. Ladder to the top bunk can be easily removed and set on the top bunk if you have children and don't want them up there. Even with the 3 beds multiple guests have commented that they still have room for a pack&play for smaller children.
Second Bathroom: Renovated in 2018. New Tub, New Sink, New Floors.
New Chef's Kitchen: Renovated Spring of 2018. Granite counter tops, Soft Close Cabinets, tile backslash, All Stainless Steel Appliances, Ice Maker in freezer and under cabinet dimming lighting!
(What you would build if you wanted to renovate your own home!)
Living Room: Sofa with queen pull out. Twin cot bed which can be placed in Livingroom or foot of the bed in the master bedroom.
Brand New HVAC unit installed in Fall of 2017. Extremely COLD even during the hottest days of summer.
Look at the photos (all taken in January of 2020 and updated with new flooring in Feb 2022) and compare to any other unit!
UPDATES (06-19-2020): A bench was added at the foot of the master bed to give somewhere to sit down while getting ready if needed. Washing machine has been replaced with an updated unit. Dryer was replaced July 2020.
Please note that due to high linen rental costs, linens are not provided. Guests should bring sheets and towels. Pillows and comforters are on all beds with pillow liners and mattress covers, but not fitted sheets or pillow cases. If a guest is looking to rent linens, I can provide the contact details for a company we wanted to use, but VRBO will not let me put in an optional fee, so that guests can pick if they want to rent linens (and it was too high of a cost for me to require it with every rental)
Also note that the building charges a $50 check in fee that must be paid to the building in cash at check in. this fee goes directly to the building and owners have no options to control or waive this fee.
