Something very different, a very special find
This is a beautiful old plantation house with bags of character, the rooms are large and airy and decorated beautiful. A grand four poster bed is used in the master bedroom, you can take a shower and look out over the rolling hills and country side. The whole house is like a story in an old novel. The gardens are one of its finest features. They are kept beautifully by a really lovely pair of gardeners. The gardens them selves remind me heavily of the legendary children's story, The secret garden. This place is truly magical, you will love it. A car is needed as St Philip is situated in a farming area that is around a 10 minute drive to beachs and shops. This is a holiday our family, especially our children will remember forever. One last thing to mention is the wonderful full size pool, it's devine.

About the host

I bought Golden Grove for vacations for family and friends. I knew nothing about its history and was amazed to discover the many features of its past, from geology to archaeology to recorded history. This is now well-researched and can be viewed on our website.
Why they chose this property
My daughter was married in Barbados in 2005 and lived at Golden Grove until returning to England in 2008.
What makes this property unique
Golden Grove is a very relaxing environment which I still enjoy on trips to Barbados. My aim is to preserve a unique part of the gentility of a prior age for visitors to enjoy today.
