ROACH BREEDING LOCATION

This property was INFESTED with roaches! They were crawling on the counters mid day!!!!! The property manager wanted us to stay in the unit and just send someone to "spray". They were rude and treated us like it was our fault and we were inconveniencing them by asking to be moved to another unit. The unit looked like it had not been cleaned and the walls had patches where the dry wall had been repaired. The drive-way was horrible! 10 out 10 don't recommend!!!!

It was ok…

Cabin location was good! Wi-Fi did not work Sooooo many bugs! Even in the beds! Outside lights did not work. Hot tub looked like it was about to fall apart and didn’t work. We didn’t make an issue of this as we weren’t at the cabin most of the time. The upstairs shower was scalding hot! We couldn’t get the water temperature turned down. The downstairs shower was very hot as well, couldn’t get the temperature down. The adults were able to handle it, but younger kids went all weekend without a shower because it was just too hot. Also, there were clumps of hair on the shower walls downstairs from previous visitors. Carpet going downstairs appeared to be spot washed? Certain spots were saturated. I would suggest the owners get a new cleaning service.

Beware: Dirty and Deceptive. Would not recommend Cabins For You!

First, I would like to point out that as soon as we noticed issues with the cabin, I immediately took photos and was on the phone with Cabins for You within 20 minutes of our arrival. I was told someone would come out to do a re-clean and address the landscaping. They did not ever come out to clean, but they did trim most of the weeds towards the end of our last day. We had to wash the bedding and clean ourselves. Photos must be outdated. The cabin appeared to be very clean and well kept in the listing. Upon arrival, we first noticed how overgrown the weeds were around the sidewalk, driveway, and deck. We get it's a cabin in the woods, but you should be able to walk down the sidewalk and access the trash can without wading through knee high weeds. Climbing the stairs to the main entry, you'll find out worn the deck and railings are. Don't walk barefoot due to the splintered boards and be careful leaning over the railing because of the rusty nails sticking up. Inside the cabin, we noticed the cleaning crew did not do a very thorough job. The counters were covered in crumbs, the lower bunk bed sheets were clearly not washed as they were covered in crumbs and the upper bunk bed comforter was covered in dog hair. There was trash under the queen bed on the lower level (including an empty bag of Always bladder leak pads), the carpet in the lower level bedroom and on the stairs was very stained and dirty. We were hesitant to use the lower shower as the side mounted shower heads were disgusting and there were dead bugs and dried stains on the floor. General upkeep was also very disappointing. The exhaust fan in the upper bathroom either never worked, or stopped working early in our stay. The light had a dim flicker and that was it. This made for very uncomfortable showers and a slippery floor. Speaking of the shower, the temperature adjustment knob gets stuck and is very difficult to adjust. What makes things interesting is the water heater must be set to boil. If anyone from Cabins for You is reading this, PLEASE adjust the water heater before someone is seriously burned. There was some type of cable hanging out through the wall in the rec room with bare wires, and the cable box for the TV in the living area was hanging down in front of the fire place in a tangled mess. Bug control was non existent. We had to put a towel under the door and vacuum several times to keep up with centipedes and ants. There's more but I am out of characters.
