Welcome to Schroon Lake Serenity, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, private year-round retreat located within the beautiful Adirondack Park on Schroon Lake.

This 1350 sq. ft. home with retro mid-century charm is surrounded by trees and built over a woodland stream. It has a glass panel in the floor for viewing the stream in the dining area. Modern conveniences include a Smart TV, WiFi, newer kitchen appliances, A/C & washer/dryer. Recent upgrades/renovations were completed in Fall/Winter 2023-2024.

Schroon Lake Serenity enjoys gorgeous lake views, both from the house and at the waterfront located less than 50 yards from the front door. The best is the private 100’ beach and dock, easily accessed by crossing East Shore Drive. Back at the house, a large, expansive deck with gas grill provides a lovely space for outdoor meals and general relaxation.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a view of the lake. The two guest bedrooms have queen-sized beds. All bedrooms share a full bath. There is a pull-out queen sofa in the back living room. Note: all the upstairs bedrooms have open ceilings which add to the charm of the home.

Schroon Lake Serenity is perfect for those who opt to rent in a secluded, quiet part of the Adirondacks that’s just a short drive to a local store, town, or highway. Ideal for families, couples, friends' getaways, and work-group / meditative retreats. There's plenty of room for a yoga mat (or more!) on the deck at the house or the floating dock on the lake. Kids will love exploring the natural surroundings - both the stream & the beach.

We want you to relax and feel comfortable at your home away from home. Feel free to watch the old VHS tapes/DVDs, use the games, and borrow books from the library. Get cozy in front of the wood-burning fireplace in the living room, or have fun roasting marshmallows at the movable fire pit on the beach. Additional amenities include two stand-up paddleboards, two kayaks (with adult life jackets), and a junior/kids' kayak for your exclusive enjoyment at the waterfront.

Excellent lake house

Shroon Lake Serenity was the perfect place for our family: the lake with its private beach, deck and dock was lovely, and the house was spacious, comfortably furnished, and fully equipped with everything we needed. All five of us (ranging in ages from 11-70) got out in the kayaks, and although the water was rather chilly, we all went swimming, too. Some of us had shorter swims than others, though! We also enjoyed two hikes, and roasting marshmallows and eating s’mores on the beach, while the sun set and darkness fell, was a real treat for all. We thoroughly enjoyed our full four days and wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful ADK Weekend!

We absolutely love Schroon Lake Serenity. The house is a lovely place for families to spend quality time together. The front porch is fantastic—a great spot for dinner or morning coffee under the trees. The beach is also perfect for families. Lots of room and a terrific view. The house comes with plenty of beach chairs and 2 kayaks and 2 SUPs. We had lots of fun paddling on beautiful Schroon Lake. Kirsten is an excellent host. She is warm, welcoming, and communicative. The house is also located close to many activities, hikes, towns, etc., so rain or shine, there is plenty to enjoy. Thank you, Kirsten, for another great stay!

Awesome ADK Weekend

We love Schroon Lake Serenity! The house is lovely and the location on the lake is excellent. The front porch is one of our favorite spots, because it feels like you are sitting in the trees. The beach is perfect for kids and families. In addition, the proximity of town is convenient for grocery shopping etc. Kirsten is a fantastic host. We look forward to returning next year!

Looks good until you get there

The lake is across the street,which I dont believe I saw in the listing.Has an awesome lake and mountain view from the house,unfortunately,you cant see hardly any of it due to the trees not being trimmed.The tile in the kitchen is coming up and cracked.Various things need repaired in the downstairs area.Unfinished drywall repairs in the bathrooms.The upstairs is very nice and looks recently remodeled.I would not stay here again though for the price and lack of maintenance.

Great lake house!

We loved staying here. This was our second time renting this house. The location is perfect. The lake is gorgeous and I really enjoyed using the kayak. The house has everything you need, and everything is in good working order. There are plenty of hiking trails and restaurants nearby. It is a perfect getaway lake house. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The camp itself is peacefully placed in the trees and the dock location gives you the perfect opportunity to simply relax, enjoy the lake breeze, and, most of all, center your mind on the strength of the mountains seen in the distance. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Home away from home

This well appointed and nicely situated 3 bedroom room home on the shores of Schroon Lake met and exceeded our expectations. If you like sitting on a spacious deck surrounded by pine trees and the sound of a babbling brook or in front of a fireplace watching your favorite channel in the middle of the Adirondacks, this lake home is for you. A special Thanks to the diligent efforts of the owners while we were there to help re-establish the tv snd internet service which had been interrupted by a recent storm.

Home Away From Home

From the moment we arrived at Serenity to the moment we left was perfect (minus the bickering children). The location and beach were exactly what we were looking for. The kids had endless amounts of fun using the paddle boards, fishing off the dock, swimming and building fish ponds on the beach. Anything you needed to enjoy a vacation was in the home. Serenity is definitely a hidden gem of Schroon Lake. We can’t wait to book for next year! ❤️

Quiet and out of the way relaxation

Our family of 8 enjoyed our week long stay. Plenty of room for all of us. Quiet and relaxing area, small town feeling. Very little traffic in the area and on the lake. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, as well as using the kayaks. The house is around 30 minutes from Ticonderoga, and 30 minutes in the other direction is Lake George. Plenty to do in the area, lots of cute towns, hikes, as well as a Six Flags park that is not too far away. Id reccomend the Adirondack General store for lunch at least once while you are here, just 2 miles past the house. Martha's Dandee Creme is another great spot, but about 30 minutes away....great food and the best ice cream and shakes anywhere around the area!

Best Spot

If you looking to stay up on the Pottersville/Schroon Lake area this house is a great location! It’s close to Word of Life Bible Institute, Adirondack country store which had amazing breakfast (they also have lunch), just a short drive to the little town of Schroon Lake, about a half hour north of Glens Falls. The house have just about everything you need. We only cooked one small meal but there wasn’t anything missing that I needed. Will definitely stay again if needed in this area!!

Great Getaway!

We chose this vacation house for the location, but enjoyed so much more. The bed was very comfortable along with the other furniture. Kitchen was well equipped, and we had wonderful views of Schroon Lake. The house is centrally located to many major attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Schroon Serenity!

Fall Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful time! The house is exactly as described as well as it's appearance in the photos. It is clear the owners take pride in their rental and it made travel easy knowing the house was stocked with sheets, towels (not beach towels) and other household items. We had a wonderful time on the lake and look forward to returning!
