Welcome to CAMP SASQUATCH! This log cabin is set up with comfort in mind. Main level has 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, shared full bath,(laundry) upper level master with King and private full bath. Basement has full bath and 2 Queen BUNK beds. (See pictures) Kitchen and laundry are on the main level as well. Kitchen has all full size appliances and a vast selection of small appliances including french press, keurig,toaster, blender, crockpot, skillet etc. Flat screen TV's on main floor family room, master suite, and lower level all working with fire stick's.House has VIASAT Satellite internet. Sleeps 8 and guests are welcome to bring fur babies for a fee of $50 per pup. Guests have access to the community amenities including swimming pool, fitness center,(walking distance) clubhouse (game room with pool table), tennis court, paddle boats, three ponds for fishing, campground, hiking trails,playground, chapel and more! Perfect location for all area events from North Wilkesboro and Merle Fest to Blowing Rock for the always delightful concerts in the park! Appalachian University is just up the road about 10 miles along with the all the shopping, restaurants, local artisans, the sites and sounds of King St in Boone. Local ski resorts include App Ski Mountain, Sugar Mtn, Beech Mtn. Visit Hawks Nest for some zip lining or grab those yummy snacks and sit by the river with a glass of wine from one of our favorite places, Grandfather Vineyards. Local breweries are plentiful, some of our favorites include AMB, Booneshine, and Molly Chompers, Go gem mining for your next ruby or emerald and then take the family and friends to Tweetsie for some western wranglin' fun! Linens are provided at the house for all guests. Washer and Dryer on main level. Garage is considered owners closet and locked. 4 Wheel drive is not necessary for this property. Gravel driveway ample parking. Primary entrance is up around back for least number of stairs there is a combo on the house lower door and upper back door at kitchen for guest access. Gas fireplace, charcoal grill AND Propane Grill.

Family ski-cation

Our family had a fantastic getaway weekend in this cabin. The facilities were great. We swam in the pool and enjoyed the trails. Kitchen was well equipped and property manager was super punctual communicating. Check-in and check-out were super smooth. No problem finding our cabin. A+ stay and highly recommend.

Great trip

Everything was there with nice little touches as well. We had three generations and we all enjoyed it. Remote area but still not too far from things to do. We didn’t have much snow but that’s always a toss up.

Excellent stay

We had a wonderful time staying here! The house was beautiful and clean. My two girls loved the downstairs bunk room. We thoroughly enjoyed the trails in the neighborhood. When my husband was working, my daughters, dog and I hiked the beautiful trails. It was a great place to have little adventures right from our doorstep!

Perfect Escape

We couldn't have asked for more! The house was stocked with all we could have wanted. It was comfortable and welcoming. The property management communicated quickly with all questions. We had the perfect escape to relax and enjoy our family!

Beautiful house, great mountain community

Our family and our friends family came for a quick little getaway before the kids started school. This house was perfect! Clean, unbelievably well stocked with everything, tons of space, and an amazing setting. We love coming to visit Powderhorn mountain, the community has so much for kids to do and this house was perfect, very close to the clubhouse, trails, ponds, playground etc.. we saw a ton of wildlife from wild Turkey, to tons of deer, squirrels, rabbits etc. We will definitely stay here our next trip through if it’s available.

Exceeded Expectations

If you are looking for a wonderful house off the grid then this is your place. It’s about 15 minutes from civilization in a gated community that is a kids and hikers paradise. The house is warm and spacious. Perfect for 6 adults and 2-4 kids. The porch is huge with a charcoal and propane grill. It’s a 5 minute walk to a pond with paddle boats and the clubhouse that has amenities that I used daily. The property has walking and hiking trail everywhere. The property contact (Susan) was fantastic and readily available. I’d 100% stay there again.

Wonderful weekend stay!

Our group from adults to teens and our dog had a wonderful time staying here! The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. It is well-stocked with kitchen staples for cooking and grilling on the deck. We loved sitting outside watching the deer roam the yard! We were lucky enough to be there when it snowed which made the scenery even more beautiful. Roads were continuously maintained during the winter weather making it easy & safe to leave if needed. The gas logs in the den were well-used and provided a wonderful atmosphere for relaxing! Boone is not far if you want to venture out for a meal, and our two teen boys loved that Sugar and Beech Mountains were close by for snowboarding. We will definitely be back to stay soon! Camp Sasquatch would be enjoyable any time of year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Getaway before school

We have stayed in PHM before and were excited to come back. Plus I love how organized Moonlight is. They kept me updated and informed throughout the stay. This house is set up really well. The kitchen is well stocked, the giant porch was amazing, and beds comfy! The driveway is STEEP and the house is at a busier intersection but convenient to access. We loved being able to walk to the paddle boats, clubhouse, and pool! We didn't even have to leave the entire time due to enjoying the views, nature trails, campground, and pool. We can't waitbto return!

Best vacation ever!

This home was beautifully situated in the mountains. There were hiking trails nearby with views and waterfalls that were breathtaking. It was a perfect fit for our family. Our dog also loved how pet friendly it was. He loved the trails and the dog toys just waiting there for him. The clubhouse was just a short walk and my kids loved the game room. The only thing my kids wished it had was a hot tub. Also the grill was almost out of propane which made it hard to grill, but everything else was amazing! Perfect for families!
