Food and libations abound in this cozy Colorado town. Athene is located in a very quiet neighborhood. 10 min to Boulder and 20 min to Downtown Denver. This home has three lovely outdoor spaces to spread out and enjoy the Colorado sunshine. Two decks with comfortable seating and dining. Inside a well appointed home with all the essentials you will need to make your stay comfortable.

The space
Appropriately appointed, with hardwood floors throughout. This lovely space has a 4 bedrooms, 2 private baths, dining room, living room and two very large decks. Located in a quiet family neighborhood, this is a great home base for adventurers of all types. Like outdoor activities? We are an easy walk/bike ride to the Coal Creek/Rock Trail System in Boulder County. We are 15 minutes away from the famous Flatirons, Mount Sanitas, and Chautauqua Park. Prefer a slower pace? Stroll through Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall, or visit the historic downtown areas of Louisville and Lafayette.

Enjoy slowing down and relaxing in the front garden or find your solace on one of the two beautiful decks with plenty of room to visit with friends or quiet enough to curl up and take a nap

Home is heated and cooled using environmentally efficient units. Temperatures are preset but can be adjusted for your personal comfort. Please message me by using the Air B/B app. for any adjustments.

Please note: We DO NOT have cable TV all TV's are Smart TV's. We do have Wifi so please plan accordingly.

We are responsible pet owner friendly. Dogs are welcome on a case by case basis with pet deposit and an additional $50/per pup/per day fee. Please tell me about your furry. Any previous positive feedback on Air will be weighted heavily.

If your pet is approved, be a good pet owner. Pick up after your dog in the yard and the neighborhood. And under no circumstances leave your dog unattended either in the yard or the house. Thank you for your cooperation

If you do bring your pet without approval you will be asked to leave immediately and not have your fees returned. We will know if you choose to not abide by this request.

Great Location For Our Stay

We enjoyed staying at the house. The host went over and beyond when the Keurig machine didn’t work she had a new one for us that same night we messaged her about the issue. When we got a snow and the regular crew couldn’t make it the host contacted a neighbor, Pat and he shoveled the driveway twice to help out my daughter’s disabled fiancé when he couldn’t walk through the snow. It’s a gorgeous house with so many amenities.

Quiet and comfortable

The house was comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. The four bedrooms were cozy and my kids enjoyed staying in the the bunk room. Check-in process was super easy and the check-out instructions (strip beds, start load of towels, empty perishables from fridge, and consolidate trash) was comparable to other VRBOs we've stayed at and quick and easy to accomplish. Host was easy to communicate with and responded in a timely manner as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Sons wedding

My son‘s wedding was in Boulder and he lives in Denver so it was a perfect distance between the two. Everybody enjoyed the hot tub and the house was spacious.

A beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood, I couldn't have asked for a better location. Easy to get to from the airport, Close to boulder and the Rockies. I would for sure rent this property again.

Friends Getaway

Friends and I stayed at the house for five nights. It was a comfortable home base for our explorations. We loved the hot tub and spent some time in it nearly everyday. Our one concern was addressed quickly by Carolyn. Everything was comfortable and worked properly. We loved Otis Coffee and the deli/bakery next to it.

I do not recommend this home.

I booked this place specifically for having a hot tub as advertised.I was told after booking there was a heating element that had gone bad on the hot tub and that possibly it may not come in time for our stay.Then right before our stay the story changed and we were told that the hot tub had been recalled.Upon arrival there was no hot tub.No mention of any type of reimbursement.Day one of our stay the bath tub drained slowly.and continually got worse.Day 12 of our stay the basement toilet was being plunged and leaked from the floor leaking sewage.While the owner was able to finally get a plumber in the afternoon, we left due to needing to use a toilet and shower and did not return.The owner claimed it was not the home that was the issue.Any plumber/engineer knows that the seal at the toilet flange was not sealed appropriately .This home was not as advertised.I would not recommend this home for Vrbo.

Great Property in a Great Neighborhood

Property was in great shape and met our needs. The preinstalled gate on top of the stairs was nice as we had a small child with us. The basement had a full bath with a bedroom and small living room and the upstairs had three bedrooms with another full bath. Master Bedroom had a sink in the breezeway between the bedroom and shared bathroom. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

wedding weekend

we brought our family here for a wedding close by in Louisville. Property was a perfect location with a beautiful trail close by for a walk. Property does have a nice separate bedroom and living room on the first floor. However, the main living area with a kitchen is up the stairs. Just remember you need to use the stairs to go up to the kitchen and it’s not good for seniors who have issues with walking.

Wedding Perfection

We were in town for my sons wedding… The property was perfect for doing all the wedding baking and hosting flower arrangement luncheon, post wedding brunch and both families with huge outdoor and open space available! The next door neighbor is pretty special too - saved the baking with her brown sugar! - :)

The location was very convenient for Boulder and Denver airport and the inside of the house was clean. Beds were very comfortable on main level. Washer and dryer was very convenient to have. Neighborhood was quiet. We have all stayed in other VRBO houses and noticed a few issues with this house. The kitchen was minimally equipped The heat/cool level for our comfort was poor as we had to contact the owner to change any amount up or down so had no control over our comfort level. The downstairs level was extremely cool compared to upstairs main level. Outdoor back deck and front cushions had no covers so remained wet after rain and unusable.

Great for the price!

We stayed at the property for a hockey tournament. 3 dads and their 3 sons. The house provided great hang out spaces and private bedrooms for our group. Location was quiet with lots of wildlife (more on that later). The check in was easy and there were nice snacks available to us after a day of traveling. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook dinner. The owner was very responsive and answered all concerns within minutes. She truly cares about the comfort and enjoyment of her guests. There was a binder with helpful recommendations and directions to refer to. There was a nice park one house down for the kids to play at. Just a few little quirks to be aware of. There is no access to the garage although there is plenty of room for parking. The listing mentions that it has Mountain View’s. We did not see the Mountain View’s from the house, but it wasn’t far to see the mountains. You will want to make sure to bring your own shampoo and shower accessories as there are none provided. Although the house was pretty clean, we had a bit of an issue with spiders on the lower level. We saw several and had one crawling on my neck while in bed at night. I don’t fault the owner for that, but hopefully it can be taken care of for the next guests. If you are looking for a location centrally located between Boulder and Denver that provides a quiet neighborhood and responsive host, then I wouldn’t hesitate to book here.

Rocky Mountain Vacation

Very disappointed with this property from the time we drove up to it until the time we left. Outside was very unkept, rocks were laying on the brick ledge of the house with many, thick spider webs. Every part of this property was unkept inside and out. Cobwebs were on the walls and corners of the house, spiders and different kinds of bugs and insects were in the interior. The listing for this property said there were three bathrooms. That is incorrect. There is also no separate apartment as it states in the listing. When you walk in the front door you can go straight to the lower level which has a bedroom, 3/4 bathroom and a room with a couch, fireplace and tv. The lower level is very cold. Upper level has area with couch, dining room with table that could seat 8 if you can find another chair because there are only 7 chairs, 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath and an extra sink. Out door furniture covers are very worn and dirty. If you wanted to sit outside you would have to sweep them off and then rinse them off. There is no access to the backyard. This property needs a lot of TLC, a really good cleaning and an exterminator. The host was easy to reach and offered to send some people over to fix some things. We declined since we didn’t want anyone there as this was our vacation and we were gone most days. There are some 5 star reviews for this property but this was not our experience at all.
