About this property

Dragonfly Hollow is a quiet getaway with all the comforts of home. Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a wood fireplace and wood stove in the main cottage, plus propane fireplaces in the master bedroom, and sunroom. The cottage is heated and cooled with heat exchange units, so it's always comfortable. Our fully equipped kitchen boasts a gas stove, refrigerators, dishwasher, farm sink, and all the usual utensils, dishes and cutlery. The large covered deck shelters the BBQ, and leads to the built in hot tub, all within a fenced yard. Outside the fence the level lawn stretches the entire 190' of waterfront, with seating and dinning areas, a fire pit, and horseshoe pits. The dock, receives sun from noon until dusk.

Dragonfly Hollow cottage is a beautiful retreat.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dragonfly Hollow cottage. It was peaceful and beautiful inside and out. The attention to detail was so lovely. Our dog enjoyed the wonderful outdoors so much. We cannot wait to rent Dragonfly Hollow again!

Family Week

Our children are in their mid-twenties, we have all been so busy this past year, we wanted a week to reconnect and have fun together. Dragonfly Hollow did not disappoint! We had a fabulous time playing darts, horseshoes, corn hole, floating down the river and fishing. Simple things such as sitting in the river on a lawn chair enjoying the view or reading a book truly made us grateful to be there. The magic begins when you realize the hosts have thought of everything! They have created a peaceful space that allows you to experience the sound of the water as it runs rapidly over the river rocks, beautiful sunsets, games/activities to keep all ages entertained, river floating is a 5 star relaxing experience and the outdoor lights keep the magic going after sunset. And there's more....extras that we are very grateful for is a gated area that dogs can be safe but adventurous in, doggie door, cozy luxury inside, hot tub and a bunk with washroom! Truly, I would like to keep Dragonfly Hollow a secret but something this special deserves to be shared, so I highly recommend you go find the magic it offers.

Something very special…

We had an exceptional time at Dragonfly Hollow! Gord and Dan have thought of everything a guest might need to make their stay comfortable and memorable: cozy beds, plenty of towels, dishes galore, a guest-dedicated fridge, and even an outdoor shower. There are many spots, both indoors and outdoors, to read and relax. The property is very private and quiet, other than the sound of the river, which was very welcome. Highlights of our stay included tubing on the river rapids, finding brightly coloured mushrooms along Dragonfly Lane, playing darts and horseshoes, swimming daily in the river, and hot tubbing under the stars. Thank you again, Gord and Dan, for sharing your space with us. We can’t wait to return!

We absolutely love this cottage. Our 4th time visiting did not disappoint. Gord and Dan have thought of absolutely everything you would need during your stay and more. We spent 2 weeks at Gord and Dan's beautiful cottage, wonderful stay! They have thought of everything and we were extremely comfortable. The new bunkie came in very handy for friends who stayed over one night. Loved the outdoor shower and awesome coffee maker. Tons of wood for the enclosed firepit. Very private, great hot tub. Enclosed area for the pooch. Thank you!!

Best Cottage Experience !

Amazing!! Brilliant !! Elegent!! This was the best cottage experience for me and my young family. Beautiful scenery , good fishing , great, private firepit, amazing accommodation, delicious bbqs , steamy jacuzzi , canoing, swimming and most of all a very enjoyable experience all around. Gord really made sure that we were as comfterable as we can be and just cant express enough how enjoyable and satisfying the stay was. Cheers !

A wonderful place to get away

This is our second time staying at Dragonfly Hollow. It is the perfect getaway from the city. The beautifully appointed cottage is nestled amongst tall pines and cedars, giving the perfect mix of shade and sun, and the entire width of the property sits along the babbling Drag river. You can find a spot to sit and read, sunbathe on the dock, do a little fishing or swim in the river. Hosts Gord and Dan have really thought of everything to make your time at their cottage as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Thank you both for another wonderful stay!

Fantastic property that has everything you need!

Well appointed cottage that is very organized and clean. They went above and beyond to make it dog friendly with a fenced yard and doggie door! Great waterfront with rapids for tubing and lots of outdoor activities on site. Tubes kayaks canoe horseshoe pits etc all available for guest use. The fire pit was fantastic for making s’mores too! These owners have thought of everything and it really made us feel at home! We also appreciated that the owner’s private spaces were clearly marked. One suggestion would be to have a little more space available in the bathroom for guests to put their toiletries. Certainly not a show stopper and we will definitely be returning to this location!

5 stars all the way around!

My husband and I spent a wonderful, relaxing week at Gord and Dan’s beautiful cottage. The photos do not do it justice. It is a gorgeous space, inside and out and every detail has been carefully thought out. We spent the week sunning on the dock, relaxing on the deck, fishing, tubing in the rapids, kayaking and enjoying the hot tub. While the cottage itself is beautifully designed, it is the outdoor space that makes Dragonfly Hollow so special. There are so many little nooks and places to go you can follow the sun all day long. Also, there is something about the sound of rushing water that adds another level of relaxation. I loved sitting on the covered deck and listening to the water at night. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay at Dragonfly Hollow

Week at Dragonfly Lane

Beautiful cottage on a wide and calm stretch of river, just at the bottom of a gentle rapid with sandy shores. Listen to the calming sound of the babbling brook all day, sit dockside in the sun, swim in the river or tube down the rapids. The cottage itself is extraordinarily well designed and thought-out. High ceilings, full kitchen, a/c, TV's, hot tub! The hosts have thought of everything and this is clearly a well-loved and highly maintained cottage. Five stars all around. Great for families or couples.

This was our second year at Dragon Fly Hollow and once again it did not disappoint!! With plenty of room and not a want for anything they really have thought of everything!! My daughter and her bestie rode the rapids daily and swam right off the dock for hours. We cannot wait to go back next year!!

We had a wonderful vacation at the Dragonfly Hollow. Beautiful, picturesque property with everything and then some. The perfect place for fun and relaxation

Such a beautiful cottage and property. It has everything you need both inside and out. The cottage itself is very cozy and has lots of amenities to make you feel at home. The property is gorgeous with lots of places to sit and watch the river and plenty of equipment to be active, including kayaks for paddling around the river. The fenced in dog area was also a huge bonus. We had a wonderful time and are definitly looking forward to going back next year.

Very Happy - !!

Very clean property, Gord was always very responsive and made himself available on site when we arrived to show us the property and tour the in side to ensure we knew where everything was. Very well organized facility and lots of games, firewood etc. to enjoy. we have one suggestion - that there be a little more cupboard space be left available for anyone renting the unit - this includes some closet space to hang cloths. It was necessary to leave all of the dry food on the countertop and clothes in the suitcases. Just made for a little to much clutter Other than that- it was a great vacation property for anyone to enjoy.

Perfect River Oasis

This property ticks all the boxes. Cozy but upscale at the same time. It's right on the river so no long stairs/hill to negotiate to go for a swim. Secluded with a beautiful setting in the trees, yet there is sun in spots for those want that. All the finishes/furniture/amenities are first class. Excellent sound system, kitchen, sunroom, great porch with lots of games on hand to stay amused. The host was an absolute pleasure to deal with, prompt and friendly replies to any questions. Highly recommended!

Perfect Covid getaway

The property was beautiful just as promised. The views from the cottage were awesome, looking out through the trees over the river. Gord was so welcoming and made us feel at home in his home. Even though it was a rather chilly week we stayed cozy inside beside the fireplace. Our dog loved exploring the property, he didn't want to leave. We hope to return. Thanks Gord and Dan !
