About this property

Creekside · Blue Ridge -5 acres of privacy on creek- Sleeps 12

2 master suites!
This home is perfect for large groups, very spacious. Located in a valley on 5 acres, a babbling creek, a large flat yard and a playground.
It offers privacy and plenty of parking.
Rec room upstairs with a pool table.
Kitchen is fully stocked to cook for

****** Please note that the road to our home is gravel, and there is one 70 yard long hill that can be bumpy and slippery after sustained rain. Four wheel drive is advisable but typically not mandatory unless it rains several days consecutively. Definitely advisable to not bring a low riding vehicle.*******

The beautiful kitchen, which has granite countertops and the best appliances (including dishwasher and coffee maker), is equipped with anything you would need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, etc. The dining room table seats 11 and there is an additional table (great kids table) in the sunroom (ceramic tile floor) with chairs to accommodate 4 additional.

Entertainment includes a fullsized pool table, 3 LCD flat panel televisions (1 in each of the master suites, one on the screened in porch and a Large screen HD television in the gameroom) with satellite TV, 3 DVD players and a great stereo system featuring speakers on the decks, in the side yard, the greatroom, the sunroom and in the creekside master bedroom.

(2) Huge jetted tubs. One for each of the Master Suites. These tubs are heated and jetted and can comfortably accommodate 2 large adults.

Huge sunroom at creek side with cozy leather furniture and sliding glass windows so you can hear the creek and the cows "moo".

This is a luxury log home (nearly 2700 square feet), not just a typical cabin rental. The home sits on 5 acres and has over 600' of trout creek frontage so there is plenty to do with a lot of privacy.

For families with small children, the home is kid friendly too.

Family get away!

Not one thing to say negative about this property! Everything was great, everything besides what you want to eat was available. We had a family of 12 and it was very comfortable. Everyone wants to go back to the same place next year.

Wonderful Vacation Home

This house is just perfect for our multi generation family vacation. Plenty of room to all be together and enough bedrooms for everyone. We love the big dining table to all enjoy meals together. The best firepit! We love to play in the creek and relax in the hot tub. In the area I recommend rafting at Whitewater Express, eating at Pink Pig, and if you're up for a little scenic drive check out Fire's Creek picnic area for tubing and a fun waterfall.

Worth the trip

Would stay again. The listing was accurate, the home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. We were up there on a pretty cold weekend, alternating between the living room and the fire pit, and the cabin stayed comfortable the whole time.

Perfect setting to recharge

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The house was stocked with everything you could need: from the kitchen supplies to the hammock outside! We loved the soothing sound of the creek and tried our hand at fishing (only caught one). The kids enjoyed playing by the creek and woods. The hot tub was exactly what we needed to unwind after each day. Truly a recharging experience! Thank you!

Great find. Great stay. Would definitely return here.

We traveled here with two other families, and we had a fantastic time. I was impressed at how stocked the kitchen was with utentsils, dishes, etc. I can’t really think of any issues or concerns to report, and we would have just reached out to the owners if needed. I would definitely recommend this location.

Beautiful cabin, but you need 4-wheel drive

The cabin was great - nice furniture, good kitchen, comfy beds. There land around was great, very private. The only issue we had was the road in/out. If you don’t have 4-wheel drive, it’s next to impossible to get out. We had to leave a day early since it was supposed to rain the day we were scheduled to leave and we never would have made it out if it was wet. We barely made it out when it was dry.

Relaxing Getaway

Very clean and beautiful home with well-stocked kitchen. Appreciated the gate on the deck stairs which made the deck a safe place for the dogs to hang out with us. Great tubs in the master bathrooms. No visible neighbors in the summertime; we did hear roosters, horses, and tractors right across the creek - adds to the country charm!

Great time!

We had a great stay. The property was as advertised. It was off the beaten path, near a stream (which the kids loved), and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. There were issues with the cleaning crew but Kurt (owner) was upfront and honest about the problems and we were able to work it out to everyone's acceptance. Five STARS - Would rent again !

Birthday Getaway

We are in awe this was truly a experience. This was our first time trying a VRBO rental and it did not disappoint. The cabin was spacious and the privacy of the location was so peaceful. The kids loved running around and splashin in the creek. The creek can be heard and it so relaxing to listen to whether you're outside or inside the sunroom with the windows open. Nice campfire with smores and relaxing in the hottub. We loved being outside with the family and creating memories together. We are very happy we stayed here and we hope to come back soon!

Great house and property!

We stayed with 10 people - 5 adults, 5 kids. Owners are great to work with. Great layout with 2 master bedrooms and the separate sunroom. We fished, used the firepit, used the hot tub, pool table - basically everything but the TVs/sound systems. It is also close enough to blue ridge for shopping/eating out. This cabin is very secluded, hard to see/hear any neighbors at all (there's one across the creek waaaay up the hill). Will definitely consider coming back!

beautiful home

Plenty of room for extended family and friends. Comfortable and relaxing. Particularly enjoyed the layout of the house -- lots of areas to relax without feeling like you're right on top of one another in the house, even with lots of people there. We enjoyed the location -- fishing, outdoor activities, wineries, breweries, restaurants. The road in is a challenge though! It rained a lot during our stay and we had trouble getting out a couple times -- needed to back down and try again more than once. Still, wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

What a Blast we had!

This home was great for us. We had 6 adults, 2 teens and 2 children with us and everyone had a good time. We enjoyed the firepit and the creek running behind the property most. One night it rained and the inside fireplace plus a puzzle for all of us to gather around and complete was fun! The kitchen was equipped just fine for us. The beds in bedrooms 3 and 4 were small for us since they are doubles but otherwise all was very nice. I just had one couple on one double bed with the husband being 6'1" and a teenager boy that is 6' on the other one. These were very tight for them.

A Great Stay!!!

Spent six days at Creekside with family and had a wonderful visit. The cabin is large and we found it to be very clean when we arrived and the kitchen was fully stocked with any equipment you might need. The rear yard on the creek is where we spent a lot of time and it is beautiful. I drive a Suburban, however, we also had two other vehicles and none of us had absolutely no problems getting there. It wasn't raining but I would not see it being a problem unless you had a low riding vehicle. We plan to visit again many times if Sheila will have us!!!

Perfect little weekend!

We visited this home for a long weekend with family we don’t get to spend too much time with. The house was very inviting with a well stocked kitchen. The fire pit is super nice (it was just a little cool out when we stayed). Some enjoyed the game room while others just enjoyed being together. We all had our own space but also large gathering areas as well. Saw lots of wildlife. We were a little concerned about the road to the cabin after reading some previous reviews but we had no problems at all and not all of our family had four wheel drive. Definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Not much cell service but honestly that was one of the best parts.

The perfect cabin

We loved staying at this home. There was plenty of room for all of us. The furniture, beds, and decor are all lovely. There are even extra touches like bedside charging stations and umbrellas by the front door. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could need. The big dining table is a must for my multi-generational family that loves to travel together. The creek was perfect for floating in tubes. We enjoyed the firepit every night. The bridge and gravel road are very nicely done and we didn't have any issues. We have traveled to the Blue Ridge area for 8 summers now. This house is our favorite and I hope we are able to stay there again soon! I also highly recommend The Pink Pig Restaurant, Blue Ridge Boat Rentals, and Whitewater Express Rafting.

Cleanliness not good

The flat, beautiful creek lot, was great, but the cabin was very dirty. They don't provide any soap or toilet paper, etc. either, so don't forget to bring your own. The drawers, bathrooms, showers, kitchen cabinets, etc. were very dirty. The owners are incredibly friendly and very responsive and helpful!

Family Weekend

Our stay at the cabin was absolutely amazing! the property was a little difficult to find but that was our fault since we relied on the GPS rather than the directions that were sent via email hahaha but that made the adventure fun! My family and I stayed here for a fun 4 day family weekend where we celebrated Thanksgiving early. Everything was clean, easy to use. The layout was great! super spacious and just overall so much fun! we cant wait to go back again! We had smores by the fire pit, made fires in the fireplace to keep warm! Kitchen was big enough to cook a thanksgiving dinner for 12 people! love the fact that the property has 2 mater suites! overall a great stay! thank you!!!

Steep Drive

Got to the property early and decided to take a look, found a steep drive with a washed out section. Almost could not get out, finally did while banging our car over the washed out section. Decided to not stay at the house and possibly damage the cars. Found another property in Ellijay area. Never asked for or expected a refund but when talking to the owners about the drive situation, all they would say is that they did not see a problem and they would not refund the rental fee. Very non responsive!

very spacious

Nice place with lots of room for 10 adults and a baby. Had beautiful creek side views and the leaves were beautiful! I think we picked the peak weekend for fall color. Loved using the indoor fireplace and the outdoor firepit. A car with 4-W drive works best on the gravel roads getting to the cabin, or at least a truck or SUV, especially if it's been raining as it was with us. The sunroom where the large screen tv is located has no heat, so we didn't use that room very much as it was cold. The accommodations and amenities were nice; however, there were only 11 bath towels and wash cloths, with no extras available. If there had been 12 of us as originally planned, there would not have been enough. It would be nice to have extras available for guests, as in other places we have stayed. We also ran out of trash bags for the kitchen. We did bring one extra, so it was enough; just would be nice to have more on hand. And one of the bathrooms did not have any hand soap. There was plenty of dish soap and dishwasher detergent on hand, which was nice. And it was nice to have a highchair available, which we used, and a few toys. Other than a few minor things, it was a very nice place to stay, and we would consider staying there again in the future.

Attention to detail is everything.......

Overall, the house itself (the structure) was very pretty, secluded and spacious. The driveway to the house is definitely spotty in areas. I would not want to drive it in anything, but an SUV. The house was very pretty and a little more secluded than I think we were looking for- no views at all. Unfortunately, the house was dirty and smelled- cobwebs on the walls, corners and throughout the house, pillows flat as a pancake, old cans/trash in the yard, dirt/sand in the beds(and no we did not put it there), a roach ran across the bed when we got in it, and daddy long legs throughout the house. Some sort of pest control is definitely needed. I get it, your out in the woods, but I have stayed at other cabins, and not come across this problem. There were literally no towels, so make sure you bring everything you will need. One towel per couple is a little hard. Barely any wood for a fire, so bring wood if you plan on using the firepit. Upon arrival, the house smelled really musty. Once we turned on the HVAC it got better, but it smelled for a while. I think a little personal touch in the house would have gone a long way i.e. better cleaning, updating the bedding, more available household items, turning on the HVAC prior to a patron arriving, etc. There was plenty of space for everyone and the amount of beds as well. The owner did extend the checkout time, so that was very accomodating. Overall, no I would not stay here again, but the house (the structure) is nice just lacking a lot. I have stayed at other VRBO properties, and didn't run into these issues. Attention to detail is everything to renters.

We built this home ourselves and love it. We have three children and this is their favorite place to go. We are full-time realtors in the Woodstock, GA/Cherokee County area. We both grew up in the Atlanta area. We also enjoy investing in real estate, buying and renovating homes for resale and also accumulating our own portfolio of rental properties.
We enjoy visiting this property and the beach. We love spending time with our kids (16, 19, and 21 years old) and love College and NFL football.

Why they chose this property

It is difficult to find a home on this much acreage with this privacy. Also, it is unique because it has such a big flat yard for hanging out by the creek, playing horseshoes or football etc.
It hosts a big crowd of 12 guests without feeling crowded at all.

What makes this property unique

We built this home ourselves in 2006 with vacation renters in mind. We think that the two master suites and the large capacity make it a great choice for two families to vacation together or for family gatherings.
