Adorable, cozy space in a pleasant, walkable neighborhood!
The overall stay was spectacular, only complaint would be for the placement of the bed, I had to crawl over my partner to get to the bathroom at night.
We were so impressed with the accommodations. Every detail was spot on, from the linens to the towels to the impeccable cleanliness. Highly recommended! Will definitely book again when we are in the area visiting family:)

Just a lovely little place that was much more comfortable than a typical hotel.
Would certainly go back if we ever get to Tacoma again.
Close to downtown and restaurants and sights.
Carol’s place is super cute and I loved all of the early 20th century memorabilia and furniture. Great neighborhood to take a walk in, not far from Wright Park which is a definite must see. The bed was really comfortable and her little kitchenette area works just fine. She was very responsive and kind and even gave me some kitty liter when I arrived with my cat, I’m relocating, so I didn’t have to go shopping. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone else.
Clean relaxing place to stay for two weeks. Very nice neighborhood with good restaurants, parks and other amenities within walking distance. We hope to return next year.
So clean and so much thought put into a small but well-appointed place. Bed niche was cozy and comfy. If you need to sleep separately, you could sleep on the roomy couch. Property has a unique history as a home bakery and the owner has decorated with nostalgia (I actually found a little Chaucer to read!).The little kitchen is well equipped with utensils, appliances and treats. The living room is spacious and well lit, and the bathroom is sparkling and convenient to the bed. Location is quiet and walkable, but do research to find food. Owner most helpful, understanding and kind. Would be glad to return there if we return to Tacoma. Recommendations: Happy Hour at Primo Grill (good food) on 6th, and the Antique Sandwich Company up in Ruston. Five-star experience all around.
This is the perfect spot for all things Tacoma. The VRBO was exceptional, as was Carol! She was wonderful and attentive; responding quickly and kindly. We can’t wait to visit again!
As soon as we walked up to the property, the charming neighborhood and vintage architecture won us over! We absolutely loved how cozy the little studio apartment was. It felt like a dollhouse! One of our favorite features was the vintage sink and kitchenette. We thank the host for being so hospitable and sharing this rare gem in history with her guests!
The place is lovely still retaining some of the old antiques from what a classy bakery and tea house might have had. Items were there for a perfect breakfast and everything was super comfortable.
It was super comfortable!! The bed was amazing and the furniture was very comfortable. It is a very relaxing place to be. She has done such an amazing job of decorating. We loved looking at all the beautiful houses in that area. We would go back.
This is a charming property in old town Tacoma. I loved the house and the property was within walking distance of restaurants and a nice park with a beautify conservatory. Highly recommend.
The property was very cozy and charming. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dinnerware, glasses, utensils, etc., as well as coffee, a variety of teas, and light breakfast fare. The location was quiet and convenient.
The only negative is that it was very dark with the lights out, so I would suggest including a night light since there was a wooden post right next to the bed which one could run into in the dark.
My daughter and I had a lovely stay at the bakery! The petite space had everything we needed, including air conditioning during a hot spell. The eclectic neighborhood was a great introduction to Tacoma and convenient for everything we wanted to do.
