Amazing host and house!
The house was great for a large group. The decor was delightful, and the house was spotless. Mark was so gracious, even arranging a cab to drive us to Giant’s Causeway. He made my dad’s birthday celebration very special.

Overall nice but…..
Had a great stay but room for improvement in cleanliness. Dishwasher had dishes in it when we arrived, grill pan needed cleaning before use probably as no scouring pads supplied? Showers were very basic - not in keeping with luxury description and took an age to get warm.

Several issues
There was no communication before arrival about how to het into the house and when we arrived the house was open and a woman who was not the owner was in the house. She explained she was a friend and seemed completely surprised we were there as she had been given permission to stay by her friend the owner but she said it was a big house and acted like we could share. I said that was unacceptable and was needed all the rooms and eventually she left but it was very unsettling. Never heard from the owner. until the next day. No manuals or information on how to run things in the house. He did respond when asked questions about things. Also lost power last day No idea why. The house was beautiful but not terribly clean. Loads of laundry left in washers

Disappointed
The reception was very nice. Mark had a fire going, a welcome sign, and opened a nice bottle of Cava for us to share. However, the apartment was very dirty. There was hair on the bedside tables, food in the sink, floors not clean and the laundry room (which was visible from one of the bedrooms) was piled high with laundry, dirty and clean. We had difficulty figuring out how to use the downstairs shower because we did not have a tutorial on its operation. The lack of cleanliness soured the experience.

Amazing stay at a beautiful house
The house is absolutely incredible - beautiful and all the wee touches are amazing. It is exactly as shown in the pictures - we had a group of 9 and there was plenty of room. Mark is a great host; so friendly and always available to help. He was so friendly and super happy to sort us with taxis etc. Would 100% recommend staying here.

What a hidden gem!!!
This house is a truly amazing experience to stay in. It is situated appoximently 10 minutes from the city and a just quick walk away from the Zoo. As you turn into the quite cul de sac you you can see breath-taking views of Belfast. We arrived late and didn't get a chance to meet Mark the host that night. When we entered the house we were stunned by how big the house is compared to the photographs. Mark is an extremley artistic man with a unbelievable eye for detail which can be seen throughout every corner of the house. We particularly liked the welcome board as we came in the front door and the little touches like the sweets in the kitchen and the tea and coffee:). The sitting room is a massive space filled with beautiful furniture and has such a fun, relaxed party atmosphere. The kitchen is beautiful and has a class dinning room off it, with seats for all guests. The bed rooms are all beautifully designed, all with dressing tables. Hair dryers and straighteners in all the rooms. It took us a hour to find one of the bedroom as it is through a secret door in the sitting room! The bathrooms and ensuite are stunning and you can tell alot of love was put into this house and only the best quality furniture and fittings have been used. The beds are the nicest beds I have ever slept in. I even had to have a check to find out what kind of matress it was so I could buy one myself ("Mammoth" mattress). The patio is off the sitting room and is the perfect little smoking area, it has plenty off seating, a bar, cool art and a tree growing out the cealing. Its a fantasic house to stay in, none of us could help but smile as we spent time there. We met Mark the next morning who was an absolute gentleman and told us we could check out an hour later that usual so we could have a bit more time to enjoy the house. We had heard it would be hard to get a taxi in Belfast without booking in advace but we called Mark and he gave us a number and we managed to get two taxis, 10 minutes later. Thanks again for everything Mark. We will be back.

Perfect, Mark was a great host, meeting us on arrival, his house is amazing & only 20 mins from city
Group of girls celebrating a landmark birthday, what a fantastic time we had, Marks house is perfect, Open fire was lit when we arrived, Mark showed us around his lovely home, Very tastefully furnished & decorated, such a comfortable & spacious house, there was everything in the house we would have wanted and more, was really well equipped. there is a bus stop literally a minute walk or less from the house and 20 mins on the bus (which I believe comes every 7 - 8 ,mins) into Belfast city. I would highly recommend, Thank you Mark , Kind Regards, Dorothy

Fantastic cozy home from home
Mark is a very friendly welcoming host. The house was ideal for a yearly reunion of old friends. The fantastic open fire and big comfy chairs, along with the complementary wine and breakfast, was a great representative of the warm people of Belfast. A great place to spend the weekend. Definitely to be recommended.

AMAZING PLACE
My family and I stayed here at Mark's place for an entire week! There were 11 of us ! Our son married a Belfast girl and we needed a home base to go in and out of town. Mark was an excellent host and helped us tremendously in so many ways- ordering taxis, taking us to get groceries, and ordering Giants' Causeway tickets for us. He also helped us with our luggage since there were so many of us. His home is big and clean and well equipped. We also felt very safe in the area where this house is located. Mark helped to make our trip smoother and more peaceful since we had so many details with the wedding. We highly recommend this house and Mark was a very gracious host.

Modern Escape
We stayed here after spending 4 days in the country. It had everything we needed and then some to "pamper" us after our more rustic lodging earlier in the week. Mark is the perfect host. He greeted us upon our arrival, had a fire crackling in the fireplace, gave us tips and suggestions on things to do nearby and promptly responded to any questions or needs we had during our stay. You will thoroughly enjoy staying here!

We had a great stay at Marks beautiful house. It was clean and tidy and had all mod cons. Loved the TV and sound system. Mark was polite, welcoming and provided a bottle of bubbly on arrival. Fridge was stocked with milk butter etc. Will stay again.

Wonderful Hospitality!
As a family of eight traveling through Ireland this home was a wonderful break from hotels. The home is large and well laid out for a large group. We did not have a personal car and were subject to our driver picking us up each day. We found the restaurants and grocery stores not really convenient, even tho there is a bus "right out front" it still was not very convenient and a little long to walk carrying groceries. The home is tucked away in a lane way making it private and quiet from the main road. The kitchen is limited in pots and pans but a great supply of spices and the host was kind enough to supply bread, orange juice, milk, tea and coffee along with cereal. This was very very helpful to us plus the bottles of wine. Our recommendation would be to pick up food prior to settling in for the evening. Also another bonus was the washing machine and dryer. Our grandkids enjoyed having monopoly to play with and all 8 of us joined in playing around the dining room table a very bright and comfortable room. Overall we enjoyed our time very much, thank you.

Beautiful, worth the driveway.
Did not spend enough time here, will have to plan a return trip. Mark was very nice and the house was gorgeous. He even set up a welcome sign with our name. The entrance is a little hard to find but even though it is right off a main road it doesn't feel or sound like it once you are in the house. Wish that Jasper (the dog) could have stayed.
