Wow. What a comfortable home. So many interesting touches through out. Having a drink upstairs in the office looking over the city view is brilliant. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to work in. I would stay here again.
We loved our stay at Elizabeth's house in Hampstead Heath. With a group of 10 spanning from grandparents to a 4-year-old, we wanted to all be together but also have access to the city and this was such a better way to do that than a bunch of individual hotel rooms. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking at a family/large-group trip to London.
There was more than enough space. We actually didn't even end up using one of the bedrooms because the four kids in our group all slept in the same bedroom.
The access to the Heath is great. There's a good playground a 10-minute walk away, and the views of downtown from the viewpoint at the top of the hill is unmatched. It also made for pleasant hiking and people watching. We didn't explore the swimming ponds because it was a bit cold, but they're close too.
We were a bit concerned coming in about access to London sights and managing the public transit, but we had it all figured out by the end of our first day. We mostly used the overground and bus stops that are ~5 minute walks from the front door, but the ~12-minute walk to underground is also easy. Between it all, we had no issues getting everywhere we wanted to go. There were also good dining options in the direct neighborhood. Paradise Indian was excellent, and Magda is great barfare. We regrettably didn't make it to the Garden Gate, but it looked like a very fun scene with outdoor seating.
The kitchen was everything we needed otherwise: baking, making dinners, etc.
