Nestled on a hillside above the scenic village of S. Woodstock, Apple Hill is a cozy year-round home with a large deck offering views of the Kedron Valley. The setting features fields and woods, with nearby farms. Take a 10 minute walk down the hill to S. Woodstock, and you'll find- a country store( with penny candy, and deli serving delicious take-out food); Kedron Valley Inn with fine dining and a wonderful beach/pond for swimming; historic church and academy.

An open floor plan on the first floor, allows for a relaxing atmosphere-living room with fireplace, dining room seats 8, den/TV room, generously supplied kitchen, mud room/entryway, powder room, bedroom (queen bed) and full bath. The second floor sleeps 5-6, in three bedrooms -one full, two queen-full bath on second floor. House includes washer/dryer.

Spacious and cosy home
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Apple Hill. The house was very comfortable, warm and cosy despite the cold weather. Kitchen was well equipped for a group of foodies like us! We also appreciated the welcome wine and snack. The location was perfect for accessing Woodstock and surrounding areas. We would definitely like to return. Thank you!

Woodstock in September
Great stay, wonderful weather, explored So Woodstock and visited Calvin Coolidge's birthplace. Great walks, bike riding and river swimming. Would go back to Woodstock and stay at this location in a heart beat.

Wonderful Stay in South Woodstock
We visited Woodstock for a wedding event at Reading Farm Estates. This home was the perfect location at only 15 min away. Beautiful house and grounds with spectacular views. So many sitting areas in the house / grounds to gather as a group or find some alone time. Such a special place! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This was a great house! Very clean and spacious for a family of 5. The host and property manager were very attentive. I’d highly recommend staying here and it’s only a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Woodstock.

Serene Hillside Getaway
We love this place. It’s so close to South Woodstock and for us, the GMHA show grounds. My wife and daughter can show during the day but come home and unwind in the most peaceful place. Easy for me to cook and do laundry and a/c in the bedrooms allow for a great night sleep.

Serenity at its best!
What a lovely stay! Super easy check in, so clean, spacious and cozy. Our entire party fell in love with this property and would love to visit again. Very close proximity to Woodstock - we were there for Dartmouth graduation. Very very close to sweet inn, restaurant and general store. Mary and Gosia were great to work with.

Fantastic House!
We had a girl’s weekend (Thursday-Sunday) at Mary’s place! Her house was amazing! There were 4 of us and we each had our own bedroom (very comfy). There was plenty of room to hang out in the living room, dining room, and family room with an outside deck. Very clean and close to town! Highly recommend staying here!

A sweet tucked away retreat in Woodstock
What a special place. Quiet, clean, comfortable and beautiful. Our young girls loved running around the property, playing around the house and walking under the apple trees. Perfectly situated and had everything we needed.

Very Accommodating Owner
Due to the 1,000-year storm that ravaged Vermont the weekend before, the owner was very kind in permitting us to cancel, despite there being a no-cancellation policy and the house being technically accessible and in good condition; we greatly appreciated the offer, but we chose to file a claim under our travel insurance instead rather than impact the owner. Note that this was a highly unusual situation that should not be construed as changing the owner's standard policies in any way. Communications were timely and very clear. Ratings regarding listing accuracy and cleanliness were required, so we had to respond based on listing and post-storm photos; we have no reason to believe that they aren't accurate, however (we are very familiar with the area and have seen the house and property before). We would definitely recommend this property based on our experience.

VT Family Vacation
Apple Hill is a lovely, charming, cozy and yet spacious home. This home (not just a house!) is welcoming and comfortable. The location is ideal, secluded just enough and yet convenient to town, hiking, shops. It was a wonderful spot for us and our adult children.

Nice getaway spot
Well maintained and well stocked house with a beautiful garden and great view. Lots of books and comfy setting. Made us feel at home right away. Sitting on the deck on a sunny day and enjoying lunch as a family was one of the best moments. Thank you Mary!

Weekend in Vermont
The house and area is lovely - just as pictured. Very quiet and secluded. There were some additional contracts to sign prior to staying at the house and additional information about the property sent via email. There were very specific instructions about the trash and there is a fee if this is not followed. We had a short stay and just took all our trash and recycling with us to avoid any issues. Overall a nice weekend in Vermont.

Snow weekend in Woodstock
We had an amazing time in Woodstock and this house was the perfect base for everything we wanted to do. It was minutes away to downhill and nordic skiing as well as the town of Woodstock. We loved the wood burning fireplace and had the whole family around it in the evenings after dinner. The bedrooms were all a good size and very cozy. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with Trader Joe’s shampoo, Meyers soap, clean towels and generally showed that the owner goes that little bit further to make guests feel at home in a lived-in space rather than just renting it out as a side business. The property was beautiful in the snow and there were lots chairs near windows to watch the snow. There were even sleds in the garage for the little one to use on the hillsides surrounding the house. Overall, a fantastic experience that we hope to have every winter!

We (six adults) had a wonderful weekend stay in this house. Despite there not being much snow for skiing, we found wonderful places to walk and visit. The house was comfortably furnished, with lots of different areas to visit, read & play games, and the central kitchen and dining area made for great visiting while preparing meals and sitting down to eat. A great time was had by all!

Comfy and cozy home!
We were lucky to arrive just after a big snowstorm which created a picturesque, magical Vermont experience. Apple Hill is a charming, tastefully decorated and very comfortable home. The owner, Mary Bush, was so kind and helpful with suggestions on where to eat, etc. The delicious cheese and crackers and wine were a nice welcoming touch. We had an amazing stay in South Woodstock and hope to return again soon!

Wonderful Woman Weekend near Woodstock
My three college roommates and I loved staying in Mary's lovely home! It is spacious, clean, comfortable, well-designed, and has an incredible book collection. There are many relaxing spaces for hanging out and a fully equipped kitchen. It's a great location, only a ten minute drive from the adorable town of Woodstock with a huge amount to do in the area. It is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing vacation in the Upper Valley.

Beautiful Property
Our family of 6 attended an out-of-state wedding in Vermont. This house and property were beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed. I only wish we could have stayed longer to really enjoy the beautiful rolling hills and peaceful setting. I would highly recommend.
