A great stay

What a wonderful place to stay! The home was well stocked and had many fun extras like a great ice maker, disco light in the pool, fire table, and built-in pool side cooler. The location is fantastic. Very close to Cougar Point golf course. Almost hate to leave this recommendation as we would love to book again and fear the home will be hard to get. My only caution is that the 2 upstairs bedrooms (not master) have what we think were full mattresses. Very comfortable but a bit of a squeeze. That said, the rest of the house is so comfortable I would not let this deter anyone from booking.

Nice place to call home for the days we were there

Nothing too bad that should turn anyone away. No ice-maker in the fridge which was a bit of a surprise.

Beautiful beach home with comfy beds and lots of extras

Very nice property and a great place to rest and relax. Love the porch swings, location close to beach, and near the restaurants on island. Love the big beds and bathrooms.

Over priced vacation with many property issues

Overall I am disappointed with the house. There were three issues: 1) dishwasher issue. Imagine going on vacation for a week and having dishwasher issue 2) I paid nearly $10000 for the home for a week and cannot believe the heated pool was extra. There is some price gouging going on here. 3) ac system had trouble keeping the place cool all week. 4) not sure why but the water upstairs didn't work sporadically. I reported it and got any response. I have requested compensation for these issues with no response.

Perfect house

The house is exactly as advertised and as shown in the pictures. The beach is walking distance or a short bike ride away. The kitchen is well stocked for plenty of cooking with pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. in good condition (not always the case with rentals). It was nice to have the security and ease of a house professionally managed by Vacasa. Bike rentals are available for the whole family including kids bikes, seats and trailers. Most of the island can be enjoyed by bike with numerous safe bike paths.

Beautiful relaxing home in a perfect location

Great location, only 1/2 mile to the beach with ample parking both at the house and beach. The pool is a saltwater pool which was nice. The pool water was very warm, which our children enjoyed since our stay was early May. There was plenty of room in the home for our family. Just an FYI there were no spices or extra trash bags in the kitchen. I realize these are not items that are guaranteed to be available in a rental, however I just think it’s good to know before you get there. The downstairs shower also had so much water pressure that it actually hurt and I had to start and stop the water several times to get through a shower. Overall our experience was very relaxing. The mgt team was also extremely accommodating as our only issue while staying at the house was that the blender had no lid, and leaked. When I informed them of this, the mgt. team immediately brought a new blender to the house ASAP.

Great house and location

We are frequent visitors to Kiawah and we enjoyed our time at this house. It's located on a quiet street close to the main gate, and it was easy to get to the beach and shopping center. Our children especially enjoyed the heated pool (best heating we've ever had!) and the backyard for playing. There were plenty of pool toys and basketballs to play with. The bike path is accessed right next to the house and there is a preserved nature area on two sides of the house so we found it to be very private. The outdoor spaces could use a good cleaning, but that's due to the gorgeous trees that surround the house so it's a trade we didn't mind. Inside was very clean.

Be forewarned of the noise-level

The house next door is under construction. Work -- including incessant sawing -- begins as early as 7:30 am and continues past 6:00 pm. There's little chance for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning or a peaceful cocktail in the early evening, unless you stay indoors. The rental property is beautiful but -- especially for the price being charged -- it is in need of repair. The headboard in the downstairs bedroom is broken, the pool needs painting, the toaster is likely from 1970, the water pressure in the master bath is dismal, and none of the electrical outlets work along the wall of the fireplace. These are minor inconveniences, but they add up.

Perfect stay on Kiawah

Agree with all of the other positive reviews! Beautiful home and great location!!! A few points that may be helpful: If you choose to drive to the beach rather than walk/bike, there is ample parking right near the beach, 2 minute drive down Kiawah Beach Dr. The home had some board games and beach towels available. Also, the owners have added a counter top ice maker which is a nice addition. As mentioned in other reviews, the pool is awesome, backyard is private, about 5-6 minute drive to the Harris Teeter and other shops at Freshfields, very well equipped kitchen and nice Weber grass grill. Our family had a great stay and we are looking forward to coming back soon!

Great Kiawah vacation

We enjoyed everything about this home. The location was a 5 minute bike ride to the beach and not far from the stores at Freshfields when we needed groceries or supplies. The back deck and pool were wonderful for the adults and children in our party and we used it extensively. There are a lot of mature trees on the property so the pool was in shade mornings and afternoons. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans. The refrigerator ice maker was not working but a countertop ice maker was already making ice when we arrived. We would definitely stay in this home again.

Lovely Kiawah property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the best week of 2020! The house was clean and offered plenty of space to relax for my husband, three college student daughters and me. Everything was as pictured and the kitchen well supplied with tools to make just about anything. The walk to the beach is about a half a mile but shaded and pleasant. We hope to stay again!

Great House - Helpful Info!

This was our 1st trip to Kiawah (July, 2020). 2 families - 4 kids and 4 adults. The Island - there is no food delivery which seems odd in these days and a missed market. The beaches are extremely clean - to get there take a left on Kiawah Beach Drive. It’s definitely a car ride, maybe by bike and you can rent 2 chairs and 1 umbrella $30 a day. The home location on the island is ideal - very close to grocery and shopping. The people in Kiawah are a little snooty. The House- The house lay out is the queen bedroom is on the main floor with a small bath across the hall, kitchen and living room. Upstairs is the huge master and amazing master bath. Also upstairs is the 2 rooms with twins in each connected by a big Jack and Jill bath. Nice big laundry up there too. The kitchen has lots of cabinets and all the cooking things you would need. There is both a drip coffee pot and Keurig. Drip pot takes basket filters and the house has tons. The kitchen freezer is ridiculously small - I repeat do NOT buy a frozen pizza! Filtered water and slow making ice maker in the fridge door. There were no spices like I have found in other rental homes. They do not provide paper towels or garbage bags and only just a few dishwasher pods. The WiFi password is not what they give you in the app - it is the code found near the living room tv. The home was very clean and the pool is absolutely amazing! Also, they have a substantial playground out back, a clubhouse and beach toys at the garage level. We would definitely stay again, I just think some of this info is really helpful and there weren’t a ton of pictures.

Pictures don’t lie...

Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, this home was all we hoped it would be. Lots of seating for games, dinners, quiet nooks for reading and comfortable furnishings. Well equipped kitchen and state of the art laundry facilities. We loved the porch swing! The pool was icing the on the cake! The perfect beach getaway for our family.
