Cozy cassita
Shannon and Adam were great hosts. Shannon made it super easy to check in, and Adam even offered us his truck for the evening. (We were on motorcycles). All the amenities were readily available in the house. And they were quick to respond to any questions or conerns we had. We Definitely Recomend it. Thanks Shannon and Adam for allowing us to stay.

Really enjoyed our stay. You can't beat the location. Easy access to the 51 to get anywhere you need to go. Located in a nice neighborhood with amenities close by. Shannon made sure that we had anything that we needed. Very nice place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Great location! Privacy galore!
Nice house, on half an acre as described, comfy beds, and great shower! Very quiet and super private entrance. Property owner is onsite in their residence. We liked the location, close to friends in Scottsdale (10 minutes) and only 30-35 minutes to Royals spring training in Surprise... Proximity to 51 highway makes it easy to get just about anywhere in the metro Phoenix area! Only suggestion: would have loved a dimmer switch on the overhead lighting in the main living area, as my wife is sensitive to bright lights. A small light over the kitchen sink would be helpful, too. Very small distractions, had a great week and would re-book on a return trip in a heartbeat!

Great getaway
Property was easy to get to, and there was shopping, food, golf courses and more within a couple of miles. Extra large kitchen was nice as was the open floorplan. Only one bathroom which was small, but adequate. Couches were uncomfortable as the high backs and depth of seat was awkward for shorter people. It would have been nice to have some supplies available such as handsoap, shampoo and body wash, however not a deal breaker in any way. Shannon responded quickly and was willing to ship something that was left behind. We would stay at the casita again.

Comfortable and Convenient
Shannon and Adam are wonderful hosts, very friendly and responsive. The house is well-appointed and comfortable. It’s conveniently located, and easy to get around. We were here for medical visits at the Mayo Clinic, which was a short drive away. It was great to be able to have our pets with us. This cozy casita is private and quiet, and had everything we needed.

I cannot say enough about the hosts and their family. Everything about the casita is perfect. They are more than accommodating including play dates with my dog and theirs. I was here for more than a month with zero concerns. I cannot praise the hosts and this property enough. It was exactly what I needed when I needed it and I am forever grateful.

Our stay at Townsend Terrace was perfect. Shannon was responsive to the few questions we had. We only had 2 adults so the place was plenty big. We especially enjoyed hiking in the Phoenix Preserve which was a short walk to the trailhead. If you have a loved one in Sunshine Village nursing home, the facility is only a mile away from the casita.

Casita Stay :)
Well I just finished a 6 week stay in Shannon and Adam's Backyard Casita and it was just perfect! They are wonderful people and hosts the place was clean and comfortable to stay in. Its also located conveniently close to highway access and grocery stores are nearby :) A couple of days into my stay the fridge started to act up and Adam had a brand new one delivered that afternoon! And he even dropped a bag of ice off to make sure that I had some for drinks knowing that it would take the fridge a few hours to make new ice :) Shannon communicated quick by text if anything came up and I took full advantage of the nearby mountain and climbed it maybe 20 times during my stay... Its a beautiful view up there and I would recommend the quick walk to the trailhead and explore the Phoenix Preserve :) Thanks to Shannon, Adam, their boys and Odin for making my time this winter in the Valley of The Sun a comfortable and enjoyable one... Barry :)

Nice property but not what we expected
I want to start this review off by saying that Shannon was a wonderful host and did everything she could to make us feel welcome during our stay. However, if you're expecting a private property with a fenced in yard for your pups to run around, this isn't the place for you. I wouldn't really consider this property to be dog friendly especially if you have curious large breed pups like I do. There's random scrap metal, torn apart cars and an open garden along the far side of the property (not pictured). Aside from those couple of things the property owners dug a 6ft trench around the perimeter of the house for a new septic system starting THE DAY we arrived and continued for 6 out of the 9 days at 7am. I could not let any of my dogs outside during this process because the husband could kick at them if they got close to him. If you're traveling dog-free you shouldn't have any issues however if privacy is what you're looking for this property is basically an in-law suite in their backyard.
