The Perfect Retreat is located in Centre, Alabama (Cherokee County) on beautiful Weiss Lake. The property offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a full kitchen, and on-site laundry. The back door opens to a large deck overlooking a shady hillside, and a stairway surrounded by nature leads you down to the waterfront. The large T-style pier can accommodate any type of vessel and the state dock and boat ramp are 'just around the bend', so bring your fishing boat, the family friendly pontoon boat, or jet skis for the kids!

In addition to Weiss Lake, the surrounding area offers many activities/attractions including Little River Canyon, Terrapin Creek, Noccalula Falls, Desoto State Park, Cheaha State Park, Talladega National Forest, and the Chief Ladiga Trail... just to name a few.

Cute and Dainty

The home is pretty and it’s equipped with everything you need for a nice stay. The living room is full of comfy recliners that work great for a movie night. The bedrooms sleep comfortably as well. I like that they purchased tvs for each room, although the tv in the room I stayed in isn’t up yet, I can see the intention to have one mounted . The neighborhood is very quiet, which I love. The outside views are beautiful!. It has a nice fence to the side for those thinking of bringing their pets.

Nice little place

This was a nice small place perfect for me on my own getaway. Host was very responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend for a nice view and easy access to the town.

Relaxing

This was our second stay at the property. It has everthing you need. Having your own dock is a plus. It's a nice neighborhood and very peaceful. The host checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed.Very lovely property.

Last time staying here, Renters beware

This is our third visit to this same cottage and it will be our last. While we have loved it in the past, the fact is it just wasn’t enjoyable this time. The furniture is just too old & uncomfortable. We come here to relax and we can’t sleep on the outdated beds or sinking couch and chair. The shower curtain sticks to you when you’re in there. They removed the front gate from the front porch and it’s just too stressful to get the dogs to the side fenced in area without them wanting to run out in the front yard. They’re good girls but ya know, they’re dogs! Floors were filthy when we arrived, literally black feet. Too many things wrong that we won’t be returning. Hate it, but if the owners won’t put any real investment into the property then I won’t be coming back.

Family weekend

I was very impressed by the cleanliness . It was small but very well maintained . It was well stocked , although we brought our own supplies it was nice to see the owner had supplied things like coffee, creamers, filters coffee pods, salt and pepper. We stay at a lot of different places and not many of them furnish any of these. I felt at home. I was hoping the owner would drop by so I could ask if we stayed again if we could bring our 3rd dog next time,(we had to leave her with a friend ) Our dogs are very well behaved. I also loved the cotton field across the road , took me back to my youth.The stairs to the lake was the only problem , I'm 80 years old but I managed the many steps. I would stay again.

Amazing view

Enjoyed the deck, the view, the location. Definitely better than a hotel. Very clean. User friendly kitchen. Except for steps to get into the cabin, was on one level. Very comfortable. Didn't have time to make it down to the lake but enjoyed the lake from the upper deck.

Cute and quiet cottage

We enjoyed our stay, relaxing on the back deck under the beautiful trees, fishing and swimming from the private boat dock. It was so quiet and peaceful. Definitely would stay again.

Cute cottage with great views.

Host was wonderful. Our only complaints were the steps going down to the lake. We are both in our mid 60’s, great exercise but it was a climb. Dock is hard to get back on after jumping in. Young people would have no problem. Went to Cherokee Rock Village and the Little River Falls at the mouth and at top of the falls. Stunning!
