Beautiful little property far enough away from town that all is quiet and peaceful. Close enough to explore Port Angeles and the beautiful nearby park. Would recommend!
My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Barn Cottage. The location was ideal with it being very quiet yet only 15 minutes or so from town. The view was beautiful. Accommodations were very comfortable and cozy. We would stay again for sure.
We loved the location, the views and the charm of this property. It was a clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed returning here after days on the coast or in the park
This place was absolutely gorgeous. Coming from Boston and being able to rest my head at this barn cottage during my first night on the west coast was an experience I’ll never forget. Clean and
We had a great stay in this peaceful cottage. It's a great location - close enough to town and the Olympic NP, yet quiet and peaceful. The furnishings are all good quality, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved all the space to store things in the bathroom, though the shower is a bit tiny! We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Port Angeles.
We came to the OP for our anniversary trip. The cottage was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of hiking. It is centrally located to all the main attractions. The atmosphere is cozy and the cottage offers many amenities to fit our needs. The view of the mountains is beautiful and a family of deer would visit every evening. Highly recommend!
Found this to be an amazing location to go Olympic National park and surrounding areas. Was perfect size for two adults and our two dogs. Loved the dog friendly property. Saw deer in the yard every day. Really was a great place. Had everything you could need for your stay. Would return in a heartbeat.
This is the perfect place to stay when traveling to Port Angeles. It’s close to town but provides a quiet, private location. Cottage is very clean with great space. There’s a fire pit and bbq with the occasional deer stopping by and a cool view of the mountains. The property manager is available if needed. Highly recommend.
Perfect little cottage in a beautiful setting with a fantastic view. Everything provided for you. Had a nice firepit fire one night, listened to the birds and the wind in the trees. Wonderful, Wonderful!
We had a great stay at the Barn Cottage! It was done very nicely and had everything we needed. We got to see numerous deer on the property everyday. We also saw a hawk! The night sky is amazing here. It's a great location and we would definitely stay here again!! Thank you to Suzann and Martin for being such wonderful hosts!
This was the BEST place I have ever stayed! Everything provided to make if feel just like home BUT gorgeous views of Olympic National Park/Mountains!
Extremely clean and very comfortable.
Suzann was simply awesome. She did everything to make sure that the trip/stay was excellent.
I hope that I can make in back next year.
my partner and i stayed at suzann's property for a week in late October. while the cottage is adjacent to other structures on the property, it has a feeling of total isolation with a private driveway looking out onto the mountains - with deer regularly milling in the front yard.
i'd highly recommend using the firepit and stargazing!
What a lovely spot!! We didn’t think we would be able to find a dog friendly spot near Olympic for the holiday weekend, and feel so lucky to find Suzann’s barn cottage. Secluded yet close to town, well-supplied yet still cozy and rustic, and a great view of the mountains. There’s even a stocked fire pit! Could not recommend this place more highly.

A little out of the way, but worth it
Beautiful property. It's a little out of the way, but a very quiet area. Watch out for deer when driving to the property! All of the furnishings were top notch. The bed was fantastic and we slept really well. The shower....very tiny with limited hot water so don't stay in there too long! We would definitely stay there again.
This reservation was a fiasco. After I paid in advance I anticipated contact from the owner regarding details of how to get into the unit, etc. NOTHING. No call or email. I emailed her twice through VRBO, no response. We drove to the unit a half hour before check-in and drove up and down the county roads increasingly frustrated because the property address did not exist! Nothing but trees and highway. Even kind passerby stopped in their cars to ask us what we were looking for, and tried to help. Nothing but rural country roads and poor phone reception. No property.
Anticipating a warm hideaway awaiting us, after a long drive followed by a two-hour search looking for the address and multiple phone calls to reach someone, we were stressed and exhausted.. Finally were able to reach VRBO directly from the side of the road; they apparently contacted the owner (whose name and number we never had) because the owner of the unit finally called us -2 hours after check-in when it was getting dark.
She stated the address listed was intentionally incorrect, to “keep Lookie-loos away”, And that she did that with all of her five units. Rather than being apologetic she was dismissive and rude. When she finally did give us the correct address just down the road, the place, though it looked cute from the outside, was dark, damp, and reeked of mold. The odor was so bad we could not close the slider.
I called the owner directly (who lived somewhere on the acreage), and she basically said the unit was clean, dry and did not smell….it was either our imagination, or our dogs were causing the smell. However our dogs were still in our vehicle and never set foot on her property.
We asked for a refund to which she grudgingly agreed. She emailed an apology of sorts the next day but still blamed our dogs for the odor that she claimed did not exist. Rather than the relaxing weekend getaway we anticipated, this experience was hellish. We ended up camping on a friends sofa, and returning home more stressed than before we left home.
None of this was the fault of VRBO, they did not know the property address was intentionally false. The owner insisted she emailed us twice with check-in info but she never contacted us….. except for the email after the fact, still blaming our dogs for the smell and concerned only about her ratings. And a fake address?? We would give this place a zero rating if that were possible. Hope this saves someone else what we went through..
Clean, well-kept cottage. Beautiful surroundings and view. Even saw a deer in the drive upon our arrival. Did not even turn on the TV, just embraced the view out the sliding glass door. Wish had more than just one night so could've tried out fire pit, BBQ grill, etc. Would love to come again.
The barn cottage is so charming, cute, and homey. We loved staying there and everything was perfect.

We value our natural environment here on the Olympic Peninsula. We hope our guests will also cherish it and the peace and quiet that is so rare now days. We respect our guests privacy and do not contact them, even at check-in, unless they need something. We leave our guests to savor their privacy and have a relaxing time, but we are always available. We live not far away.
