The Bluebird, Across from Museum

The Bluebird Cottage is the perfect place for a romantic and memorable retreat. Just across the street from the local Historical Society Museum, this remodeled vintage home is just steps from the many world-class restaurants, Shaw Festival Theatres, and quaint boutiques that line downtown Queen Street. Prices are subject to change daily.

The Bluebird has a combined living/dining room with flat screen television. Perfect for those rainy days and relaxed quiet evenings indoors.

Beautiful kitchen with farmhouse sink, supplied with:

-Drip-coffee maker and kettle with enough coffee, tea, and sugar to get you started
-Stove, oven, fridge, microwave, and toaster
-Dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glasses (including wine glasses)
-Non-stick spray, paper towels, dish soap, tea towels, dish cloths
-Salt and pepper

The laundry is located just down the stairs in the basement and is supplied with:

-Laundry soap, stain remover and dryer sheets

Bedding, towels, hair dryer, facial and toilet tissue, shampoo, and hand soap are also provided.

The main floor bedroom has a queen bed with closet space and dressing table. The main floor bath features a tub/shower combination. Upstairs, there is a queen bedroom and twin bedroom.

Outside, relax on the front porch and watch the people and occasional horse and carriage pass by. Sit on the covered back patio while dinner cooks on the BBQ/grill. Lounge in the sunshine of the back garden.

Visit the Niagara wineries breweries and distilleries scattered throughout the area. Niagara Falls is just a short drive away along the scenic Niagara River Parkway. We invite you to stay at The Bluebird Cottage in Niagara-on-the-Lake for an experience you will want to repeat.

A quiet retreat close to town

A wonderful stay

Friends' reunion weekend

Charming and quaint, excellent location, comfortable and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our only suggestions for improvement would be a place to hang wet towels in the bedrooms, some throw pillows and throw blankets for the couch.

Sweet cottage, great location

My husband and I had a wonderful long weekend stay in NOTL at the Bluebird. It is a comfortable, clean and quiet little house, and provided nice little extras. The location is perfect, with an easy walk to Queen St and the Shaw Festival. It was cool and rainy during our stay so we didn’t use the backyard very much, but it is very private and charming. We would definitely be glad to return for another visit!

Niagara-on-the-Lake theatre and wine tours

The house has a great location walkable to NOTL amenities - we have visited many times before but had never been to the local museum across the road from Bluebird, and there were admission tickets for the museum included in the welcome package. Decor suits the 1950s wartime housing vibe, kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed the small private patio space out back to relax between adventures.

Nice stay overall

The Bluebird is a nice property for staying at NOTL. The location was great - easy walking distance to anyplace in town. Located on a quiet street. The cottage itself was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed sitting in the private backyard and on the front porch mornings and nights with the cool breeze. We ate breakfast in each morning, and was really nice. VRBO mistakenly advertised this initially as 2+ bathrooms, so we were disappointed to find only 1 bathroom for a party of 5, but not much to be done at that point and this appears to have now been corrected. The cottage is a bit cramped for a party of 4 or 5 - better suited for 2 or 3 people. Bathtub/shower with no real privacy, as only have glass wall. Dishwasher and sink garbage disposal would be a nice addition, as drains were slow and it's kind of a pain to manually wash dishes on vacation. A/C worked well but didn't really need it for temps in mid 70s! Nice to be able to use washer and dryer in basement for towels, etc. Ants were quick to appear with any uncovered food but nothing we haven't seen before. Museum across the street was awesome and informative - you get free admission by staying at Bluebird, so save $10 per person admission fee. All in all, a good trip and we love NOTL.

The Bluebird cottage was cute and quaint. It was very clean. The location was amazing as it was right downtown in the heart of historic NOTL. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoy the location and cleanliness of the house. We would have liked more comfortable furniture in the living room to relax on with more than 2 guests. The living room needs a couple of arm chairs.
