Great location

We loved the location. It was great being able to walk to both the beach and Colligny Plaza. The balcony being ocean front was also a plus. We also enjoyed the pool area- there’s an adult pool that goes up to 8ft deep, and then a kid pool that’s 2ft deep. The kid pool was perfect for my 2 year old daughter. The kitchen was really nice and looks like it was recently renovated. The bedroom is small with the bed taking up most of the room. We did manage to fit myself, my husband and our 2 year old in it but it was a tight squeeze (I think it’s a double bed). We didn’t use the pull out couch so I’m not sure how that is. AC throughout the unit was good. We would definitely stay here again!

Condo Experiwnce

We enjoyed our weekend at this property. The location was perfect for us. The size and layout fit our needs well. We did notice that the dryer in the unit was not very efficient and took a really long time to dry our clothes. Also, on the check-in process, there does not appear to be a need to pick up the packet at the property management office if you are not parking a car. The packet only has parking passes in it…I explained that we did not need parking passes, if we’re still told to make that extra, unnecessary stop.

Breakers 311 Sea View Hilton Head Island

A nice seafront top floor apartment in great location for beach and shops etc.. Nice kitchen and big fridge. A little tired in places which could be easily fixed, but was not an issue for our 5 day stay. The keyless entry system works fine.

Ocean front hospitality

The third floor condo is decorated in blues, greens and white, with beach paintings and decor throughout. The balcony was great! I could sit at a table with 2 matching chairs or a bigger red chair that made me feel like a queen on a thrown! It's oceanfront and you can watch the waves come in and can see the various tide levels. Beach access is along side of the condo. There is a small grove of low palmettos and other bushes between the condos and beach, so you can hear the ocean sounds clearly, but they aren't roaring in your ears. I could hear the ocean inside the condo as well, with the sliding doors closed. The living room sofa was comfortable, but I didn't pull out the bed. The living room also had a cocktail table that converted into a dining table with 2 stools underneath the ends, one which I used as a footstool in my stocking feet. There was also a matching set of bar stool height chairs that could be used around the breakfast bar or for extra seating. There was a tv and dvd player in the living room too. The kitchen had a keurig, Mr. Coffee and toaster. All necessary silverware, dishes, glasses and some beachy mugs were stocked as well as a wide assortment of cookware, bowls, serving pieces and trays. One of the touches I most appreciated were new paper towels, dish sponge, dish washing liquid and a few dishwasher pods in a jar. (There was also laundry pods near the washer/dryer combo.)I loved having access to a washer and dryer, which was located right outside the bathroom. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, with plenty of pillows available. There were small storage closets on either side that had shelves and plenty of hangers for clothes. There was also a shelf over the headboard for all my night time stuff. There was a tv in the bedroom and a row of large hooks along the wall for jackets, etc. The condo was easy to get into, using the code given to me by Vacasa. There was a pool in the middle of the condos that looked clean, but it was too cold to swim. There's also covered parking. There was an elevator to take for luggage, groceries, etc. However, I ended up taking the stairs most of the time. Vacasa was a great property management team. I phoned them for a few questions I had and they had someone come over to help me shortly afterwords. I met Valerie, the office manager and another staff member and both were very helpful and friendly. My only issue is that I never got onto the Internet, even with help. The system seemed to be looking for a security key, which no one had. My husband confirmed that a firewall wasn't blocking access, so I'm not sure what happened with it. I had to use my phone for limited Internet. Thank you for offering this condo on VRBO and having Vacasa as the property management company! I found the condo clean and the sheets and towels clean. I appreciated the texts and emails welcoming me, telling me the access code and how to check out via text! I had a wonderful experience!

Fantastic Stay!

I had never been to Hilton Head before and did not know what to expect. I was unfamiliar with the area as well. This condo has the perfect location. It is very central to local restaurants, shops, tiki bar, beach, parks, etc... And if you can't walk to it, you can ride a bike to it. The beach view from the condo is fantastic! The entire condo was very clean. As well as provided anything you might need (beach items, utensils, cooking pans, etc..). We really enjoyed our stay here. I would love to return!! This was the perfect size for us (2 people).

Nice!

Location was great. Truly ocean front, nice and quiet, and the view was great. Security at the breakers was very good, and we felt comfortable leaving our bikes on the car each night. The unit was nice and clean, and the kitchen was well supplied. Only negative is that it’s a pretty small unit. The master bedroom was quite small, and there really was no place to leave our suitcases or unpack them to. There were small built-ins on both sides of the bed, but they contained extra bedding and there wasn’t really any shelf or much hanging space. Just putting several shelves in one of those would be helpful. I can’t imagine where the owner could put a small dresser or something similar. I would stay there again, but would do a two bedroom unit if we could afford the price difference. Just for the extra storage.

Breakers 311

Not worth the money! Bed was so uncomfortable! Sagged in the middle, we woke up every morning sore and stiff. The refrigerator in the kitchen wasn’t working, we weren’t notified, there was another refrigerator in the unit next to the couch that was the working one. Unfortunately we had placed ice, food, and drinks in the refrigerator that wasn’t working. The drinks were fine, the food and ice were lost. What a concept, remove the bad refrigerator, place the new one in its place!! Difficult to get in the shower because of the location of the built in shower bench, toilet paper holder was barely hanging on the wall, and crooked. I build homes for a living and would’ve raised cane if one of my crew did shoddy work like that! For the money that we spent I expected better! Would not rent this unit again!

Breakers 311 Review

Breakers 311 is a nice, clean condo with an absolutely amazing view of the ocean in the heart of everything. I was wavering wether to give 3 or 4 stars, I’d give it 3 1/2 if that was an option. Myself and my 17 year old son stayed there for a week. I gave him the bedroom and I took the sleep sofa. I am a celiac and have to make my own food. The day we got there we stocked up the fridge. The next morning on Sunday I noticed the fridge and freezer were not working well. Everything in the freezer melted and fridge food was warm. I called the rental company was assured someone would be out that day to fix or at least bring an ice chest. I called 3 times during the day plus stopped by the office, after no one showed up or called I finally called the after hour number. After that they said they dropped the ball and someone would be in touch with me the next day. They compensated us for our groceries, gave us other compensation and really tried to make it right. They had a full size fridge brought up which was great but they had to leave the other fridge there to be fixed, for a small condo it took up a good amount of space. All in all we went for 2 1/2 days without a fridge . It was hard going up the three flights of stairs ( no elevator ) 72 stairs up and 72 down- by the end of the week I was just tired of it. I would stay here again if an elevator was put in ( which seems to be in progress now ) If not for the fridge, lack of response and the stairs I would have given a 5 star review.

Location location location

The location is perfect, restaurants, groceries, shops and a very nice beach park are all steps away. The unit is small but adequate for two people. The refrigerator needs to be replaced, and the outdoor carpet removed from the deck, other than that there isn’t much to complain about, we would definitely rent this unit again.

Work From "Home" Bliss

I was scheduled to meet a group of people mid-week at Villamare in Palmetto Dunes. I rented this place at Breakers so that I could work with an ocean view for two days before the rest of my group arrived. The apartment has a BEAUTIFUL ocean front balcony. I put a small umbrella over my laptop and enjoyed getting a tan on the balcony and a paycheck simultaneously! The internet was perfect for working. The apartment is small, but perfect for a couple or solo traveler. It had everything I needed to live there for months (washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, etc). It is on the third floor, so I would recommend considering how you pack, super heavy suitcases are not fun to hall up the stairs. Aside from that, it's so well located that you have the pool, ocean, shopping, and restaurants only steps away. Cleanliness: the apartment was really clean, except the floors. The floors looked clean but need a really deep scrubbing. My socks turned black within a few hours of being there. Also, the indoor/outdoor carpet on the balcony is victimized by birds and needs to be replaced - it was quite dirty and had an odor. Other than the floors, the place was very clean. The complex: I wasn't in love with the complex. It's extremely well located. However, it needs a more aggressive maintenance team. At Villamare, there were always people working outside and as such, the complex was spotless. At Breakers, I never saw a maintenance person - even during the day on Monday and Tuesday. There's a green dust all through the hallways on on everything - the hallways need to be kept clean (so that the floors I mentioned above don't get trashed). Also, there's leaves, mud, and rocks everywhere in the parking lot. It wasn't pleasant. True, they are under construction, but I feel sweeping, dusting, and leaf blowing are sorely neglected. Safety: My door kept spontaneously popping open. My guess is that I didn't push the door enough to engage the lock. I felt scared when I kept waking up to the door wide open. I would suggest putting some sort of lock on the inside so that guests can feel securely locked in when they are sleeping. Overall, I really loved this apartment and wish I could afford to live there each winter (instead of in MI). I was there by myself. It was easy for me to work, eat, and find activities. I would definitely recommend it, if you can overlook major construction, dusty hallways and a messy parking lot.

Home away from home

Loved the location to shopping, beach and the pool. Had to call to get new code to get in - code given didn’t work. Upon entering room could see foot prints on floor. Had to go buy swifter and clean the floors which were dirty! The view from the room was great!

Unfortunate Holiday

I’d like to start this review by saying that the villa is very nice and the owners have done a great job. It’s nicely renovated, well decorated, and has an absolutely perfect view. My vacation was a mess due to very loud painting and construction throughout the property. None of which was communicated beforehand. I understand work needs to be done, but to take someone’s holiday money for a rental and not TELL them to expect construction is very disheartening. The entire property and all walk ways were either tarped or covered in construction materials. Generators and cement mixers loudly ran daily. One day my window screens was taken off while I was home inside. Needless to say, I decided to leave and that’s where it got complicated. I left multiple messages with the property manager trying to organize a new unit. I waited 3 & 1/2 days for a reply. I had to book my own new rental for my second week because no other units were available. Fine. But now I’m tied up still trying to work out refunds. Trying to get a hold of VRBO for their fees (for time I’m no longer there for) but they say I need to reach the owners. Again, this is a lovely villa but the inconvenience associated with this management company and the situation and stress is not worth it. Ask ahead about construction - I learned my lesson!

Great little place!

Our only issue we had was ants. From day one they were all over the counters. We continued to spray cleaning solution and wipe down but they would re-appear every 20-30 minutes. Kinda gross.
