Property was in a great secluded location. Big yard and areas to enjoy at the house. Could use a little extra dusting in a few places but overall cleanliness in bathrooms and kitchen were great.
the house and property was just perfect for our family visit and reunion in the 1000 Islands. It was rustic and still well appointed. We really liked the shower as the water pressure was great! Thanks for a great stay!
This house is close enough to drive to downtown Clayton if you’re looking to explore. But secluded and private enough from others to just be able to enjoy being outside laying in the hammock with a good book!
Had a wedding in Clayton. Stayed with wife and daughter, sister and her husband, and there son and daughter in law and 3 kids aged 4-10. It was perfect for us. Did s’mores in back yard one night. Played table games in evening and only took 5 minutes to get into town. Made a great weekend even better.
Very comfortable and spacious rustic home nestled off the road and very quiet. Has a huge front yard for children to play and nice deck for lounging. Two large sitting areas adjacent to the four large bedrooms. Great for our reunion trip to the 1000 Islands. Make sure to view the guest book for many places to visit and restaurants.
Great housing for my sons and my annual fishing trip. Hard to find 4 bedroom, not beds, with two baths was perfect for the 4 of us.
A little outdated, but not an issue. What was an issue was the cobwebs, etc under cabinets .
A few spices would have been nice but ran out for salt, pepper, and a couple of others.
Would stay again without a doubt. We would simply pack better.
Unbelievable hot AND cold water. Washer/dryer was super convenient as well
We stayed for 3 days for the total eclipse in Clayton. Don't let my rating stop you from renting. It is explained below. It was a really good spacious property. Easy in and out...
The size of the house for our 4 adults was great- we didn't even use the back living room! It was a very well provisioned house (I have been in some that didn't even have a full set of utensils or wine glasses etc...) Plenty of linens. We didn't use grill so can't say. Location good We walked to distillery!
But the place does need some love in the deep cleaning department. I wanted to give a higher rating but clean is my most important category. Bathrooms and visible surfaces were good and clean.
The house is very spacious and comfortable. We were disappointed that we couldn’t walk the roadway. We were informed it was private property and we did not have use of it. The owner kept use supplied with fire wood which was a nice surprise. We thought things could be a little cleaner. Some massive cobweb hung in one bedroom and we had to wash some pots and pans before we could use them. Not really complaining but hopefully helpful.
We got together for a family reunion, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house is secluded but close enough to Clayton and Alex Bay. It was perfect for what we were looking for.

The area was great. We felt secluded which is what we wanted. It was close enough to town tobe convenient. The house was cozy but dirty. A toenail under one bed. Lots of dryer sheets under beds. One bed had a very (gross) stain and some of the pillows were grungy. An ant problem in the kitchen...
The property is nice, quiet and quite convenient, at a walking distance to the river. The interior is much pleasant than it looks on the picture. The owner is very responsive and made the check-in and stay a very enjoyable experience.
The only problem we had was that the pictures online represented a water side property and there was no waterfront view at all. I contacted the host and he said that he had tried to take the pics down and the website would not allow that. He offered a refund before the stay but we had driven 11 hours to get there and we had no other place to stay, so we stuck. Other than that we had a great time
