Picturesque setting, woodsy neighborhood yet close enough to basics in Woodsville. This chalet offers many different indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy, a well stocked kitchen and pet friendly. Would love to have had more days to stay and relax.
Comfortable spot for 4 people and a dog. Near a number of good hiking/snowshoeing spots in western NH. Very well stocked with kitchen essentials. Very pet friendly.
We enjoyed our stay. The chalet was nicely decorated, clean, and cozy. It was well-supplied with everything we needed. Eleanor was an excellent host (even when I goofed.). Would definitely stay again.
Very nice cabin, it was very clean and surprisingly well stocked with supplies in case anything was forgotten. Lovely garden and decorations. I was a bit surprised, since its rented out and things with younger children could get broken, that there were soo many decorations inside. I didn't realize initially that it was expected of renters to wash and put away all towels/ sheets and dishes used. Normally most places simply ask you to place all sheets, towels and dirty dishes in or near washing machine. (I met the cleaner on our way out and told her that towels and sheets were still drying and dishes in dishwasher weren't done drying yet either) It would have been nice to have more space in the bathroom for one's own toiletries also. (Hers are very cute, but take up most of the space) Overall a very nice trip and comfy cabin. (Mattresses were great for sleeping!!) I'm familiar with the area since I've rented another place on the water there. Beautiful, clean water for swimming and great mountain views.💝🥰
Great area and the home is just the right size to be cozy with 5 (or six I'm sure) people sharing the space. The fire pit is large enough to have good sized fires, as we used it nightly. The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you'd need, and though I don't have a pet I'm sure the fact that the home is pet friendly is a big seller for most who do. The only thing that I'd say should be in the listing is the fact that you have to take your garbage out with you... Fortunately one of the vehicles we had with us this trip was a pickup truck but I wouldn't have been too excited if I had to put a week's worth of garbage in the back of my sedan. All things aside I'd still definitely recommend this rental and Eleanor is a pleasure to speak with and very helpful/responsive.
We had a great time. The place had all that you needed and the hosts were lovely. The area is beautiful. Checked out the swift water bridge swimming area per the host’s suggestion. They were right. Clear, cool, flowing water. Picturesque. Definitely coming back. Thanks Eleanor!
The community was wonderful! The house had a strange smell and we had to wash all the bed linens upon arrival as they smelled and looked dirty. It was difficult to do laundry and run the air conditioners at the same time (the fuse kept blowing). Other than that the house was great and well stocked with games and necessities. The neighbors for some reason shined their laser lights right at the fireplace area every night which was Very annoying. Unfortunately due to Covid 19 the pool and basketball courts were closed and you couldn’t rent canoes or kayaks. The guidance for trash disposal was not very accurate, after a weeks long stay we were to meet a trash truck at a restaurant, however there was no truck to be found.
