About this property

Bayfront House with Amazing Views-New Pool Enclosure and Heated Pool + Boat Dock

This is one of the most popular and rented homes in the Venice area. It stays full most all year round with many regular guests. This direct bayfront house lies along the northern shore line of Dona Bay, in a neighborhood of multi million dollar homes. The house rests on a very large and private lot. The views and atmosphere are spectacular being just 50 feet from the water's edge. Quality and value keep our guests returning year after year.

There is no smoking permitted on the property, inside or outside. Pets are not accepted.

With the large private lanai and heated pool (electric heat pump) as a centerpiece and the bay front providing big water views, the views are magnificent from every room in the home! The home has a private fishing/boat dock. The home is wonderfully decorated and is equipped with everything. This 1994 home features three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a formal and casual dining area, large family room (with a new hi def 65" flat panel LCD smart TV with Firestick ), formal living room, a large kitchen, laundry room and garage. All rooms are oversized, with the home boasting over 2700 sf under air. The king and queen bed are new, quality, 14" memory foam mattresses with luxury toppers and mattress pads, and fine linens and comforters.

Enjoy boating, fishing or crabbing on your private dock. Boats and trailers may be accepted with additional fee for docking. Be sure to mention boat or trailer needs when inquiring. Provide boat size, make, outboard, or I/O, and depth needed. The boat lift IS NOT available for use without a significant deposit and/or fee.

With the split plan and two living areas, the home is spacious and comfortable. The three bedrooms sleep six, but with special arrangements can accommodate up to eight. Please inquire for special arrangement information for more than six guests.

Many beaches nearby. Venice and Nokomis beach 1.5 miles away and Siesta Beach about 20 minute drive. Enjoy boating, fishing or crabbing on your private dock.

Being a waterfront home with a dock, and having a swimming pool accessible from most rooms through sliding glass doors (without alarms or fencing around the pool), this may not be the best choice for children that are not able to swim.

The pool cage is back up after Hurricane Ian and it is better than ever !

Wonderful!!!
It doesn’t get any better than waking up in the master bedroom looking out the big slider to an amazing sunrise!! We went to Florida to visit with friends and family. Our house was the perfect place to meet. Everyone loved sitting outside by the pool with the lovely view. ( loved the outdoor fan over the table) The house is exactly how it’s pictured which sometimes isn’t the case. Bryan was a pleasure to work with and made us feel so welcome! Will definitely return!!

Absolutely Beautiful
We loved this property. It had anything and everything you could need in a home. The home was beautiful and the location. We enjoyed fishing from the dock every night and swimming in the pool. We took some extended family with us my nephews have cerebral palsy and they had a blast also. We made memories all of us will never forget. The location is close to all beaches. Highly recommend this property for a wonderful stay. Thank you for allowing us to stay. Would definitely love to stay again.

Too good to be true
How do I even begin to describe this wonderful vacation house. We had a family vacation to schedule and I must admit to thinking this was more than what I wanted to spend. I communicated with the owner and he was so nice and helpful about the area and things to do. I was hoping to negotiate a better price but instead he told me the value of booking this home over the less expensive ones. Boy, was he right! Don't skimp on those few hundred dollars and get an everyday vacation house. This house was incredible. The ad and pictures show it accurately, but to be there and see it is another thing. Wow! The views of the water are so serene and we saw dolphins and a manatee from the family room, and lots of fish at the dock. The pool and the outside area are breathtaking. Glass everywhere for the views of the water. The layout is fantastic. The main bedroom is huge with a large TV and sliders to the pool. That main bedroom has a huge bathroom with another half bath at the opposite end of the bedroom that goes to the pool. Yes, one full and one half bath in the main bedroom. The beds are comfy. The kitchen is well stocked. The house was so clean. I could go on and on. Don't think about it... book this house. If it's a few dollars more than others your looking at, spend it. You will be so happy that you did. This will be our go to vacation house from now on. The whole family loved it and we created life long memories being in this lovely house on the water.

Family Vacation
This home and location is beautiful, close to everything and very peaceful. The layout of the home is fabulous with lots of privacy. We watched the dolphins every day. One morning we were able to see six baby seahorses while sitting on the dock. It was awesome to sit outside by the pool for breakfast, happy hour and a night cap and not be bothered by bugs, AT ALL. It was nice to have unobstructed views of the bay without the pool cage. Bryan is a great host!

Amazing property- great amenities
The property is exactly as described and then some. The dock is incredibly close and my 80 YO grandfather was able to walk back and forth and fish daily. Close to several beaches, state parks, and many shopping areas. Fully equipped kitchen, and everything you can think of to enjoy yourself in a beach or pool setting. Pool was warm and the views were breathtaking. Brian was an amazing host, helpful and ran us a couple tools we needed to change batteries. Really enjoyed ourselves and will be back!

Love this home!
We chose this amazing property on Dona Bay for its close proximity to Venice and many fabulous restaurants, shopping, and beaches. Bryan was able to answer all of our questions promptly, and any questions we had during our stay. We arrived to an immaculately clean home. All rooms were welcoming and top notch both in regard to cleanliness and had all that you may need for an easy stay. The kitchen is very well appointed with cookware (if you choose not to dine out which is very tempting with great local spots). We also really enjoyed taking walks in the beautiful neighborhood and meeting friendly neighbors! To our benefit the unobstructed view without the pool cage was even better than the photos we saw back in August when we booked our stay. We spent many relaxing hours lazing by the very private pool looking out at the bay. We are already looking forward to booking this home again! Thank you Bryan for such a memorable and special time spent at your home.

The property overall is in a nice location, though close to the main road and car noises are noticeable. The house has a nice set up but needs maintenance and deep cleaning. We had ugly mold spots and smell in bathrooms, spider webs, etc. The house was missing the advertised screen from the pool/patio and we had issues with mosquitoes and no-see-ums flies. The owner would not provide any discount. Other than that nice views and lots of room.

Relaxing Vacation
The house is in an easy-to-reach location close to beautiful beaches, shopping, and restaurants. The pool was clean and large enough for the family to swim in simultaneously. All the beds were comfortable, though a bit high off the floor for access by our disabled daughter. A small stool solved the problem. Hot water was abundant with lots of towels available. The kitchen lacked a few items which the owner promptly supplied while general service items were not lacking. We spent most of our time around the pool swimming and sunbathing. The lanai, which Ian destroyed, was not missed as insects were at a minimum during our stay. A minor issue was the noise from bridge traffic and a tiki bar across the river. However, this did not detract from our stay or interrupt our sleep because the windows were closed due to the air conditioning. Since this was one of the best VRBO rentals we have booked, we would definitely rent this property again.

Wonderful stay on the bay
This house was perfect for our family vacation. It was a great setup for our infant daughter and my wife's parents to stay for a week. I believe we were the 1st to stay there post hurricane Ian, but the house and the surrounding area didn't have much damage other than down trees. The pool cage that was originally there was missing, but it was not an issue and the views were unobstructed of the bay. The house was well stocked, and the communication with the owner was seamless. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time. The house was just as Bryan described. There was enough room for the entire family. BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER!
Stay here if you are looking for the perfect "home away from home" in the Nokomis area! From the minute we arrived at the house, saw the view from all the windows facing Dona Bay, we started to relax after a long trip to Florida from California. The house was perfect for our 2 families to spread out and each have our own spaces. Our 2 grandsons loved the pool and all the fun pool toys that were in the garage, learned to fish for the first time from the dock (mostly caught catfish) and spotted a manatee, some dolphin and lots of other fish swimming around the dock. The location was convenient for shopping, restaurants, beaches, local attractions (and close to many of our Florida family). The spacious (and well supplied) kitchen was perfect for hosting family get-togethers. You’ll sleep comfortably on the perfect mattresses and lots of choices of pillows. The closets were stocked with lots of bath and pool towels, extra linens and blankets. There was very little we needed to purchase except for food for breakfast and dinners when we wanted to stay at home. The homeowner was responsive and very helpful from the day we booked until check out. Thanks, Bryan, for providing the perfect house for our family to enjoy our first family trip together. We truly appreciate your working with us on our special situation – it worked perfectly!! There’s nothing we would change about our stay in your Vrbo rental…except for maybe staying for more than 11 days!

Fantastic Family Reunion
My sister in law fell in love with the King size bed and said it was her best sleep in years. Pool great, dock perfect. All of our boating plans got ditched because of a storm that never came. However pool games became the hit.
