The mountain experience is unique and unrivaled at this stunning lodge! Perfect for large groups, the Camp Connell Lodge is a stunning tri-level home with two stand-alone cabins on a multi-acre parcel with easy
access from Highway 4 and a quick walk away from the popular Lube Room Saloon.

The former hunting lodge has been lovingly remodeled and boasts accommodations for 22 guests in addition to two game rooms, two lofts, wet bar, updated kitchen, expansive deck, and ample level parking. Keep everyone entertained with games, pool table, ping pong,foosball, Sonos stereo, and plenty of outside space to roam. Dogs are welcome too! (2 dogs Max - with pet fee)

The private location is asily accessible year-round and gives guests a true experience of being
tucked away in the trees! Rentals include the use of the main house two private cabins.

Accommodations: The Camp Connell Lodge accommodates up to 22 guests in 3 separate buildings.

The Main House:Two private bedrooms and two private loft spaces feature sleeping for up to 17 guests. On the main level there is a master bedroom with King bed and en suite bathroom. Also on the main level is a private bedroom with Queen bed and sliding door access to back deck. There are two private upstairs lofts: the first with two Queen beds and a Full bed,the second with a King bed, Full bed, and three extra-long Twin beds.
The Main House has three full bathrooms.

Cabin #1:
Situated just steps away from the back deck of the main house, this charming studio-style cabin with loft features a kitchenette, full bathroom, small dining space, Full bed and loft with ladder access and two Twin beds.

Cabin #2: Located just across the parking area from the main house, this small studio cottage simply features a Full size bed and views of the surrounding forest. Guests of this cabin will use the main house for bathroom and dining facilities.

Amenities: Expansive private location for large groups or family events, walking distance to the Lube Room, WiFi, smart,TV with Netflix / HBO / ESPN, Sonos sound system with Pandora & Spotify, central heat, woodstove and fireplace (firewood provided), propane BBQ (propane provided), two rec rooms with pool table, ping pong, foosball and wet bar, fully stocked kitchen, spacious deck with treetop views, expansive level & forested property, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and coffee maker.


Linens and towels included. Level parking area. Maximum 22 guests. No smoking, no check-ins on Christmas Day. Pets Allowed with Pet Fee. Outdoor security cameras in-use.

Great place for a big group

Amazing Group Stat

Absolutely loved this home. It was exactly as described and even better. Kitchen was extremely well stocked and the beds were so so comfortable. Our group had to fight each other to see who could stay in the small cabins. Great for large groups and families.

Perfect Get Away

We were three families with kids ranging from 7 - 14.The kids loved the lofts and the two game rooms. The house is well provisioned in terms of plates, cups, and serving platters. The location was great for going to Big Trees State Park or just relaxing. Highly recommend.

Family reunion stay

My familia and I stayed here for 3 night. It's a really nice cabin clean, comfortable and well equipped. Flawless communication with the host. One glitch was they only provide 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom, we were a family of 23. We had to buy over price toilet paper at the gas station across the street. I wish we knew this before hand so we could of brought our own from home. Besides that everything was great, would recommend!!

Great for a family reunion

This property was the perfect size for our large family reunion. There were ample beds, the kitchen was very well stocked and there was so much to do! There was plenty of parking. The kids loved the game room and it was great that they had their own space to make all the noise they wanted without disturbing the adults upstairs. There are 2 cabins on the property that we thought originally we would put the grandparents in, but the beds in those cabins aren’t as comfortable as the inside beds. The cabin with the bathroom has a futon pushed against the wall, so that wasn’t a good option for the 80 year old. WiFi is super spotty so don’t expect to be able to work remotely and only Verizon has a tiny bit of service. There is a restaurant/bar that the name keeps getting flagged as inappropriate for this review, but it’s a little over a 1/2 mile away and the WiFi is a bit better. The beer garden right across the road from the house had live music several nights and was lots of fun. It’s a great central location for going to the alpine lakes, mountain biking and Calaveras Big Tree as well as wine tasting and shopping in Murphys. We all left saying that we could have spent several more days and still not have done everything there is to do!

Funnest Cabin EVER!

The whole theme of this property is FUN! There's a game room, a pool table, a bar, a HUGE TV with a super comfy couch and a big deck with tons of space to hang out. We had a little family reunion here, and we could not have picked a better spot. There were plenty of rooms/beds/bathrooms for everyone, a fully stocked kitchen, lots of fans (no AC, but it cools off nicely at night), two refrigerators and a great washer/dryer. We had our kids with us (3 & 4) and they could not get enough of the game room. Foosball, table tennis, a great game table, music, an eclectic collection of books and ... ehem... interesting artwork LOL! We made so many memories here, thanks so much to the owners for sharing this incredible space with us. For people with kids, check out White Pines Lake - it's a little tiny lake with an awesome beach to chill out at. Most comfy bed is in the upstairs room with the couch, bed closest to the window. Slept like a rock!

Amazing place for large group!!!

We stayed at this property with 5 families for 3 nights! Very spacious and great for the kids. Pool table was a hit for the 14 yr olds. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The little cottage was adorable. The surrounding outdoor area was beautiful. One day we went to Alpine Lake, 19 miles away, for fishing and paddle boarding. Beautiful lake! Next day we went to New Malone’s, a 45 min. drive, for wakeboarding and tubing. The drives were worth being able to stay at this place. We were all really impressed with this property and I can definitely see us staying here again.

Great for groups

What a beautiful property! The main house was large, beautifully appointed with high-tech entertainment stereo and TVs throughout the house. Central located so we could enjoy the surrounding area with short drives in either direction up or down H4. Yet the house was so packed with fun activities, we had a great time spending a full day at the house too. Comfortable beds, linens, and well stocked kitchen made the stay perfect!
