This home is superior! Beautiful view and very clean and comfortable. The description is spot on! The Host was readily available when we had a question. We definitely plan to return.
We had a wonderful time at the lake property! It was spacious, clean, and very inviting. The lake view was beautiful! The host was very attentive and welcoming! We will definitely visit again!
The house was perfect for Thanksgiving with our family. John is a great host and responded quickly with any questions I had. We will definitely book again!
Great place to stay. Sunday check out should be 1pm
Great experience. Awesome to be close to the dam and plenty of space to dock your boat. Property clean and as expected. All trash needs to be packed out by renter. Easy to do, the dump station is on the way out of neighborhood. However, it would be great if check out on Sunday was 1pm instead of 11am to align with garbage dump facility.
My family along with 2 of my college buddies families got together for a great long weekend. The property was perfect and had plenty of room. We really enjoyed watching our enjoy each other company and getting some quality friend time as well. The layout of the whole property was great. Thank you for letting us rent your house. It’s a beautiful place!
What a beautiful home and community. This is a great place to enjoy the beauty of nature. The owners provided kayaks, which we enjoyed very much. The property also has a private beach. We enjoyed the sunrises off the large porch off the back. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and had basic spices. They also provided all the ingredients for smores- which was such a sweet treat. It has two primary suites, both with their own bath and both with a great view of the water. The owner was quick to communicate, which was very appreciated. I would stay again. This is an excellent place if you are wanting to get away from it all and relax in a quiet community.
We had a great time during our week at this property. The house was spacious and clean, and the quiet cove was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 5 kids. The sandy beach access to the lake was a huge plus for our mobility challenged daughter and older guests. We enjoyed using the provided kayaks and paddleboard, and rented a boat for a couple days that we were able to conveniently dock at the house overnight. We also caught a few small fish off the dock using worms that we bought at the gas station just down the road. The house was nicely furnished, and the kitchen was well stocked. The house is 20-25 minutes from groceries and restaurants, you have to haul off your own trash, and a couple of the king mattresses were a bit hard, but no complaints other than that. John is very responsive and answered all questions promptly!
The house is awesome and a great location for family summer lake life. We rented a boat for cruising and family tubing and the house location along with the dock was perfect for these outings! Plenty of room for family and friends get away!
Our stay at the lake was more peaceful than I could have imagined! Sitting on the deck and listening to the birds, seeing the lightning bugs at dusk, floating in the lake, fishing and jumping off the dock with the kiddos were just a few of the highlights. This home is well stocked and very comfortable. We had a power outage while we were there and the owner was very prompt in giving us whatever updates he received from the power company. I have no complaints at all!
John’s home was a great place to stay for our weekend away. We would have loved to stay longer if our schedule allowed it. Quiet. Peaceful. Clean. Well equipped. Great location. John communicated well and we had no issues with check in/out or our time at the lake — just need more time to stay next time. Thanks!
We were visiting for the Masters and some golf. Johns house was amazing and everything as advertised and more. Host was very responsive, and welcoming. We will absolutely be back.
We've stayed at John's beautiful home several times, and this time we brought Grandma to celebrate her birthday with the teens. There was plenty of room for all, and the house is easy for someone who has to be careful on her feet. The sidewalk down to the dock was not hard for her, and the walk-in shower worked well. As usual, the home is spotless, with everything you need at hand. The lake was quiet and perfect for morning kayaking. Can't wait to go back!
This is our 2nd year at John’s property on Lake Oconee. There are 7 of us in our 70’s and 80’s who have been friends for, well, years! This house offers privacy, serenity and a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoy the fire pit and the kayaks. But we especially love gathering on the back porch around the table for games, dining and lots of laughter. Thank-you John for another beautiful week!
Our entire family met at the lake to celebrate my husband’s 60th Birthday. The home was perfect — enough bedrooms, enough baths, spectacular views, game room, large kitchen and several dining areas (inside and out). Having kayaks and a paddleboard available for use was a huge plus! We also rented a boat and had it delivered to the dock. The extra touches of having firewood available for the fire pit, as well as all the makings for s’mores was the cherry on top. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back. The home is beautiful and John was a great host!
The site is very family friendly. We have a 3 yr old to 15 yr old and there is something for everyone. The house is spacious and space for everyone. The bedroom and bath downstairs was perfect for our teenager. The beach area at the lake was fantastic. With kayaks and paddleboard, there was something for all kids and adults as well. Even the 3 yr old learned to kayak using the youth board. (very well supervised of coarse) I would recommend this to everyone.
A wonderful experience with a perfect setting. A group celebrating some of our 65th birthdays looking for someplace with a beautiful view and amenities. This filled the bill. One benefit was 4 bedrooms on the main and a full master on the terrace level. Great deck overlooking the lake where we spent the better part of our trip. Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent towels and sheets. Highly recommended with a very accomodating and responsive host.
We had two families - with five children age infant through four - and this house fit us perfectly. Comfortable space for both the kids and adults. The beachy area was perfect for our young kids, though they also loved fishing and jumping off the dock. The adults loved kayaking and paddleboarding. We rented a pontoon boat, which was our favorite thing of the week. One thing just to note: This house is definitely in a more remote area of the lake, and it took a solid 20-25 minutes to get to anything like the grocery store or restaurants.
