Perfect place
This was our first year going to Mardi Gras, we wanted some of the local flavor and this was perfect. The parade passed a block away with many bars, shops, and restaurants near by. Transportation was easy and if you need to walk to bourbon Street, it was doable. Cannot recommend this place enough. The beds were amazingly comfortable for a great night/day sleep.

Great location
This place was charming and comfortable at a great location! Pros: beautiful apartment, clean, comfortable beds, ability to control temperature to our liking (able to make it as cold as we wanted) St. Charles street car only about a block away. It was so easy to ride in for the night life and to the French Quarter. Magazine street, with all the shops was a short walk. Easy to follow instructions for check in. Cons: A lot of stairs to climb and a narrow stairway, not fun to lug your luggage up. Owners response time was a little slow. Extra fee to check in early, but that is a choice. The blue bedroom does not have a ceiling fan, making it harder to cool. A small fan is available to set up next to the bed and that helped, as well as the ability to adjust the temperature. The mansion the apartment is located in is beautiful, secure and the surrounding neighborhood is safe. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy like Christmas Morning
Very cozy top floor suite. Very high quality bedding and linens. Well decorated, windows open (with screens) for fresh air. The only drawback is, the wifi barely works. You need to be in the main living room / kitchen area, and sometimes the wifi network will drop completely, so it's tough to get work done. Aside from the wifi issue it's one of the best places I've stayed; Caroline the property manager is very responsive and helpful.

The house is great This was our second stay and enjoyed it Nice to be in the garden district with quick access to the street car line to get to where you need to go. The only complaint is the internet service was poor. But you’re on vacation, you shouldn’t be online

Great stay!
Loved this property! It was well stocked with dishes for a few people, extra toilet paper, linens, robes & slippers. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The perfect place to stay for 3 people exploring the city for a few days. Neighborhood felt safe when returning late at night and was only a block away from the St. Charles streetcar.

Over the top NOLA flat and hospitality
This 3rd floor walk up has everything. Charm, security, Garden District location, connection to both bus and streetcar lines. Then the Host Christian has though through every detail. From the monograms on the towels, to the ear plugs on the nightstand, coffee, quality bedding and so much more. It is a true gem!

Uptown hideaway
Great location, property and stay for Halloween weekend. Remember, this is located on the 3rd story so be prepared to walk up stairs, not terrible. We did a lot of “food tasting”so the stairs helped us walk it off. There are washers & dryers for laundry. Central to museums, restaurants & convenient stores. 8-13mins away from the tourist action (Bourbon st, Frenchman). Pictures are accurate and the place is very clean. The location is everything.

A Hidden Oasis
My stay was quite relaxing and stress free. The amenities and decor added to a feeling of being at home. It is a great place for getting away to do some writing in peace and other types of reflections.

The 7 Dwarfs lived in this attic
Check in process and communication was frustrating, we did not receive check in info until 18 hours before our arrival and numerous emails and phone messages. This place is a renovated attic, so don’t bother if you are ADA and can’t climb up 3 flights of narrow (24”) stairs. Kept bumping our heads in the bathroom and living room because of the funky attic’s low ceilings and 90 degree angles. Good location 2 blocks from St. Charles and the bus/91 line. Close to great cafes and restaurants, located in the lower Garden District.

STAY HERE
This was a GREAT space. The location was wonderful: 1 block from the street car, safe neighborhood, quiet, and with easy street parking. Check in process was super easy and the views were great. But the BEST part of the rental is the BEDS! After spending three days walking all around New Orleans, the memory foam beds were lifesavers. Everyone slept like rocks and are bodies were able to recover each night for another full day of walking. My elderly parents would have been in pain and fully struggling without these beds. Cons: 2 flights of skinny stairs (worth for the view), some low ceilings (only a problem if you’re > 6’2”) Don’t think twice, book this! I fully plan on staying here again.

I'm a fifth generation local living in New Orleans and loving every minute of this vibrant city! I've traveled all over the world, lived up and down the east coast, New York to New Orleans. Settled here in NOLA to be close to family, who are all from here and live here. I absolutely love sharing this city with people from out of town, advising on food (huge foodie!), entertainment, and art shopping. Welcome to New Orleans!

Why they chose this property

Downtown Views Garden District is a private apartment inside a beautiful Craftsman we call "Lion's Gate Mansion" built in 1916. I'm the third owner/caretaker the home has seen in over 100 years. I collect art, books, accessories, and furniture, and display them for you to enjoy, creating a unique and cozy experience.
