This house is a perfect rental for our Christmas party. This is the 3rd time rental for us. The house is clean. The fireplaces add some extra warmth. Highly recommend
We used the space for a memorial service for my brother. The space was clean and perfect for the event--especially having the folding tables and chairs.
We enjoyed walking through the park; spreading out in this facility for games, puzzles, crafts, and chatting; and having plenty of room to set up food for our extended family. Thank you for providing this nice space.
We weren't sure what to expect because this property is unique...but we had an excellent time. Great space and location to spend time with a big family group. Loved being close to the water and spending time on the property and in the area.
Everything was great. We are even talking about getting a bigger group together and staying here again when there is better weather! All in all, great stay!
It was wonderful to have our family stay together in one home! There's a number of bedrooms and enough bathrooms too. The great room is a perfect place for larger gatherings. Lovely setting too!
We stayed two nights in the Woodcote and had a mini family gathering. The cottage was perfect. The grounds were beautiful. I would absolutely stay again.
We really enjoyed our short stay at Woodcote! There were 9 of us staying overnight and 12 there for the family gatherings. The lodge can accommodate that with no problem with ample indoor and outdoor seating. All of this in a gorgeous setting at Lowell Park!
We had a family gathering at Woodcote. The atmosphere and furnishings were very relaxing and comfortable. The amenities were accurate as stated in the listing and everything needed was there. Those that we worked with were congenial and informative. We have stayed at Woodcote twice and plan to schedule again in the future.
Lowell park is beautiful- the river, recreation, flowers, wildlife. Lodge still feels secluded. Large indoor spaces and nice outdoor areas. Fire pit. Big kitchen. Plenty of parking. Parks dept was very supportive and helpful. Will go again! Close to town.
We greatly enjoyed our stay- especially having disc golf right out the door! The house was clean with lots of space. The upstairs bedrooms are divided by a small landing which makes it great for two families, as we each had a little section. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and grill. Tons of room for the kids to play on the property. We’ll be back this fall!
We love Woodcote! We have enjoyed several stays there. Our one ongoing struggle with the rental is that the fire wood is wet and there is no kindling or paper provided. A key feature to Woodcote in the winter is sitting by a fire in the beautiful fireplace but it is very difficult to get a fire going and keep it going.
I grew up in Dixon but don’t have family living there anymore. My brother had recently passed away and we had his service & Celebration of Life in town and had several family members coming from out of town/state. It was absolutely perfect for our needs! Not only did it accommodate our large group, it gave us a beautiful, peaceful location to all be together opposed to 6 or 7 hotel rooms with no gathering place. Not to mention the benefit of being able to take walks through the gorgeous park. Bringing linens etc was some extra work, yes, but well worth it. Would do it all over again!

Our stay at woodcote
This was our second stay at woodcote, We really enjoyed it it is just the right size 4ourfamily. The kitchen is well stocked. Loved the 2 different fireplaces it was cool out so we used them quite a bit. Love the fact that there is a big open space for the kids to run and a play ground very close by. The facility is very and creaky but it has a special charm And is very comfortable. The large room at the north end Works well for meals and setting up for indoor games. The living room is very comfortable and a good place to chill in front of the fireplace. During the day you might see a few people hiking around but at night you are very secluded and have the whole park to yourself. This is a great place just to get away and have some quality time your family
