Rhapsodic Window Onto This Island Jewel

Part II of my Review The small community of Loreto where the Casa is located, has one main street with several bars, an appliance shop, a market, and a grocery store. The grocery is well stocked (and there is also a chain of large modern groceries scattered around the island). We enjoyed Sunday service at the Catholic Church in town with its outside pews. We also especially enjoyed discovering the network of verada that connected homes and gardens in the terrraced hillsides. Suddenly, at the end of a week we uncovered the community of this lovely little town. Many thanks to Odete and João who welcomed us so graciously to their property. Odete was particularly helpful in responding immediately to questions about the very modern kitchen appliances (a convection oven and an induction range). I am pleased to be able to sing the praises of Casa da Bordadeira with unrestrained enthusiasm.

Lovely little property

We stayed at the Casa da Bordadeira over Christmas and had a fabulous time. The property was a cosy little place to spend time together, and a great base for hitting the Levada walks. Communication before arrival from the host was excellent and clear, and included everything we needed to know before arriving, during our stay and upon departure. The view from the property has to be seen to be believed, absolutely stunning. Though do make sure you are a confident driver in a good quality hire-car, as it's quite the rollercoaster ride getting up and down the incredibly steep hills! Be aware that the bedroom is near to a road with frequent passing cars - it didn't bother us, but worth being aware of if you are particularly sensitive to traffic noise at night. All in all, a great stay - thank you to our hosts for having us :)

Das Haus ist vollkommen ausreichend für 2 Personen, allerdings hat man sehr oft und sehr lange laute Musik aus einem Haus weiter oben gehört. Insgesamt ist es zu empfehlen.

Eine Woche in Loreto

Kann man nur weiterempfehlen!

Wunderschönes Haus in toller Lage. Moderne und komfortable Einrichtung. Die Ruhe und die herrliche Aussicht habe ich sehr genossen. Ich war eine Woche hier und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und konnte mich sehr gut erholen. Beim nächsten Mal werde ich wieder hier buchen. Vielen Fank auch an Fam. Rodrigues!👍

Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit Meerblick

Das hübsche Ferienhäuschen war mit allem, was für einen perfekten Urlaub notwendig ist, ausgestattet. Die sehr freundlichen Vermieter begrüßten uns mit frischen Blumen und Obst in einer Unterkunft mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der tolle Blick von der hübschen Terrasse. Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die keine Wünsche offen ließ!

Idylle für 2

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in diesem herrlichen kleinen Häuschen sehr genossen. Die Kommunikation mit dem freundlichen Vermieter hat bestens funktioniert. Der kleine Garten mit dem herrlichen Blick aufs Meer ist ein Traum. Beste Ausgangslage für Wanderungen im Herzen von Madeira. Wir haben täglich frischen Fisch in der sehr gut sortierten Auslage des großen Supermarktes im Hafen von Calheta gekauft und den Außengrill angeheizt. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und wenn man mal keine Lust zum kochen hat, gibt es fussläufig eine sehr gute Pizzeria im Ort. Von uns unbedingt volle Punktzahl. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schönes kleines Haus in wundervoller Lage

Wir haben 2 Wochen über Weihnachten und Neujahr in Loreto verbracht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit unserer Wahl. Das Haus hat einen traumhaften Ausblick und Sonne von morgens bis abends. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen. Die Ausstattung ist gut und wir haben sogar den kleinen Kamin eingeheizt. Die Lage ist ideal für Ausflüge in allen Richtungen. So konnten wir die Insel ausführlich erkunden und die wundervolle Natur genießen. Die Empfehlungen von Joao waren sehr hilfreich. Wir haben sehr gut in New Era (Calheta Marina; super Espada & Steak) und Santo Antonio (Camara de Lobos; super Espetada) gegessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Kleine Oase

Ich durfte 1 Woche dort Verbringen, Hr. Rodrigues hat mir das Haus gezeigt und alles erklärt, was ich musste. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet ( hatte verschiedene Gewürze, Öl, Kaffee..) zudem gab es noch frische Blumen und Früchte sowie den klassischen Madeira Kuchen. Ausserdem gab es Bücher ( Deutsch und Englisch) Tipps z.B. wo man Essen kann... Und was heutzutage leider auch im Urlaub immer wichtiger wird, ein gutes W-lan. welches inkl. war. 1 Stern ziehe ich ab, dafür das es (persönliches Empfinden) sehr lange dauert bis warmes Wasser zum Duschen kommt ( nicht wegen des Wartens sondern wegen dem "verschwenden" vom Wasser) und dem Staub auf dem Schrank ( wollte meine Koffer drauf legen, dadurch habe ich es entdeckt resp. Spinnweben an der Decke. Trotzdem würde ich ohne Bedenken, das Haus erneut mieten, da es einen Wundervollen Ausblick bietet und als Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Wanderungen sowie in Sachen wie Ausstattung einfach Perfekt ist.
