House was very well equipped with everything you would need. The furniture was comfy which is hard to find in a rental. Set into a woods which was very appealing. Nice and quiet! Over all we were very pleased with the whole experience
We loved the home and hope to stay there next time. The location is perfect - Slightly secluded but close to everything in Sister Bay. We especially loved the water color paintings.
We really enjoyed our stay, we had 4 people and it was plenty spacious for us. The place could use a few upgrades to bring it to the next level, but then again it’s priced a bit less than nearby properties. Most important is cleanliness and the house was very clean! Especially for allowing dogs; I expected to see some stains on the white carpet but there weren’t any. We enjoyed looking at the original artwork and the fire pit outside was really nice.

Stinky and dirty
This property was in an ideal location. Unfortunately, most of the belongings on the property had a foul smell to them (ie. furniture, linens, etc). I suggested to the owners that they clean out all of the carpets and cabinets hoping that would help. We would not stay here again. Wasn’t worth the money.
We enjoyed the house and the location. We do have several suggestions to improve this experience for other renters.
1. The dining room chairs are falling apart. We were afraid to use some of them.
2. Some of the kitchen cabinet drawer fronts are broken with exposed sharp screws.
3. We were very disappointed to not have a grill. The rental agreement included details about the grill usage, so we brought food planning to grill 2 evenings. It would have been helpful if the listing had specified that this location does not have a grill.
4. The house is cluttered with personal effects.
5. Overall, the house met our needs and the walk to the downtown area of Sister Bay was lovely.

One and Done!
DISAPPOINTED - Very outdated, especially the bathrooms! Owners need to replace the toilets in both bathrooms. Never saw such LOW, small toilets. I have much nicer and better quality towels that I use in my garage than the ones provided. Curtains weren't large enough to cover the windows. The heat was very hard to regulate - either too hot or too cold. Kitchen utensils in poor condition. No drip coffee pot. Blankets did not fit the king bed. The cream color carpeting throughout living area and master bedroom are gross - not clean and badly stained. And lastly - the "cleaning" was done in name only. I don't think any cleaning was done at all after the previous tenant left and before our arrival. DEFINATELY not worth the cleaning charge! We would NOT recommend the vacation rental to our family and friends unless many changes are made.
Cute little house in the woods but pricy for overall accomodations
The house was cute and located in a nice wooded area but too expensive relative to other properties that we have stayed at over the last 45+ years of staying in Door County. There are only 2 bedrooms and beds are too small and were uncomfortable on top of it; parking was limited and inconvenient; showers were either scalding or ice cold; and the 1st floor bath did not drain. The local rental agency was very accommodating but unfortunately, VRBO charged an extra 30% in fees. AVOID the large rental service companies unless you're ok paying exorbitant fees for absolutely no reason!
Dream Cottage under trees with everything you need
We just returned from a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage! The pictures don't do it justice! It is so much bigger than I imagined! From the pictures I couldn't see that there is an entire 2nd living room. Everything was very clean and smelled very fresh. The house is beautifully nestled under trees in walking distance to downtown. We felt so welcomed and right at home. Everything was so well maintained and well stocked! The kitchen was so much bigger and had everything and more! It opens up to a dining/living room which was very cozy and big as it opens up to the loft above. Upstairs was a bed in the spacious loft (full) and then another room with 2 twin beds. Also a full bathroom. Downstairs was a big master bedroom and a big bathroom you could enter from the master or the hallway. The patio was very cute and we enjoyed coffee in the morning sun.The location is perfect for exploring everything in Door County. You do need bug spray like everywhere in summer outside. The only thing I would change is probably the upstairs bed to a queen or king. The house was a dream for our entire family (parents, 2 kids and grandparents with a dog). We will never forget this dream cottage under the trees and hope to be back one day soon! Thank you also for being dog friendly!
