This is a 2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom property, and was & still is, advertised as a 3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom . There were 4 of us. Myself, my husband & 2 adult boys/men. We made due, but the boys/men had to share a queen bed the first night & then one of them resorted to sleeping on the broken down couch in the living room the other 2 nights. I did not receive instructions on how to access the property & had to call when we were enroute from London to the property. I rec'd a message in the VRBO system, saying to make the payment & they would give the info. But I had already paid for the reservation in addition to the security deposit. The process to access the unit was very complicated. The location was good, in the fact that it was located near the train station & only one stop away from the depot where the Chunnel from London arrived. The area was okay, and we felt safe to walk around, but it was more of a suburban, residential area than what it seemed it would be, which was just north of the Paris Circle. I should have done better due diligence on the area, so that is my fault. The property was not very clean, towels were crispy & not fresh, bathroom had mold on the ceiling, on the walls & in the shower grout. There were many missing light bulbs, and missing lamp shades. Couch arm was broken/collapsed into itself. There is a washer, but no dryer, so you must hang dry your laundry, which was fine, but not super convenient. I did call the property manager to advise it was falsely advertised & if they could possibly give us any compensation for that erroneous advertisement. They said we needed to take it up w/ VRBO, however the PM is the one responsible for the advertisement & verbiage online, so of course, VRBO is not going to do anything about it, as it is not their ad, just their platform, which I understand. The trip was good & thankfully we didn't spend a lot of time in the place & the price was right, but nevertheless, it was falsely advertised & Chicaparts needs to correct the erroneous info being advertised online. We are also struggling to get the security deposit back. I have spent time messaging the PM, VRBO & my credit company & it has been almost a month since our stay & I still do not have the deposit money back yet, even though VRBO says it was fully refunded by the PM.
