About this property

This beautiful home is a 1900 Flood survivor/Historical landmark with a modern cozy feel. We are close to everything - hence the name "Strand & Sea Retreat”! Stewart beach, Bolivar Ferry, the fabulous Seawall, Pleasure Pier amusement park, we are in walking distance to the very popular Galveston Strand which has several shops, bars and restaurants, easy access to the Galveston cruise terminal, Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Moody Gardens are just a short drive away! The living room offers a sofa and love seat, with a 50" TV. The master bedroom has a fabulous and comfy king size bed and our bunk room has 4 custom built twin bed made sturdy and spacious enough for kids or adults. The 3rd bedroom has a queen bed, 2 comfortable accent chairs and a table with 2 chairs intended to plug in your laptop for a work station or just to hang out and watch the 42" TV. 2 Full Baths, 1 with a stand-up shower and the other with a Jacuzzi tub/shower. The large backyard is very rare for these homes which is one reason we love it so much! For those nights you don't feel like going to eat, you can grill in the backyard and hang out with family and friends. We put this home together with a lot of thought to make any traveler happy, comfortable and memorable. I did not forget about those with a small child, we have a Pack n Play you are welcome to use.

Amazing Home

This HISTORICAL home is perfect. I loved the layout and the extra touches from the owners. The house is the PERFECT location for the Strand and the other sights to see on Galveston. I will definitely use it again!!!

Gorgeous property

Great location, very close to the Strand/downtown district. Easy access to harbor slide drive, Broadway st and a short ride to the beach. We love Galveston. The home is well-kept with lovey decor. Very comfortable beds and bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again. The hosts were so communicative and accommodating. Thank you so much!

Family Friendly Vacation

Beach Vibes and Sand Socks!

We came down to Galveston for a beach soccer tournament that ended up being canceled. So glad we decided to stay though! The weather turned out to be perfect! The house was WAY more then we expected and has everything you could possibly imagine! Our kids loved the bunk bed room and all the board games. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dishes. The bathrooms had all the towels you could imagine. The Murphy bed was so comfortable! Everything about this house was perfect! We will definitely consider staying here again! Thank you!!

Great Place!!!!!

This house was a great place for our guys weekender fishing trip. Comfortably suited 6 not so small men. It has a nice relaxing patio area. And the location is right down the road from the harbor and downtown historic part of Galveston. We will definently be booking this place again next year. Or maybe sooner for just me and the wife and kids!!! To anyone looking at this property: You won't be disappointed!

Beach house

The pictures don’t do it justice. This beach house is beautiful, in a great location, and has everything you need. Plenty of games to keep the family entertained and not too far from the beach. This is definitely my go to place when we are vacationing in galveston.

Thank you for stopping by our property. We are just two hard working parents of an amazing little boy who love the water and to travel. We wanted a place to go to be able to hang out and relax as well as give others a place to stay where it feels like home but on vacation. See we took a leap of faith and here we are. We have done our best to make people comfortable and want to keep coming back to stay at our pride and joy.

It is absolutely beautiful. It is a historic landmark/1900 Flood survivor. It is so awesome to own a piece of history. The location is what sold us! We are near everything, adorable/popular restaurants, Galveston cruise terminal and local tons favorites are right around the corner. The strand is in walking distance and the beach and other entertainment spots are a skip away. LOVE IT!

What makes this property unique
