Make the most of your trip to PEI by spending your vacation in our completely renovated 1 bedroom cottage that overlooks the majestic Kildare Capes and the Atlantic Ocean! Situated on 3 acres, enjoy the peace & quiet of PEI with the sounds of the ocean at your doorstep! Perfect for 2 - 4 people, the 'Crooked Cottage' has everything needed to simply relax and unwind! The covered porch is the perfect place to start your day and enjoy the sunrise, while the fire pit is the place to be if wanting to see a million stars!! A perfect place to sit & enjoy the ocean views up close, a newly built covered bunkie sits atop the Cape for you to enjoy!

We have also added a custom built bunkie that contains 2 single beds and a porch to enjoy the sunrise, or to simply sit near the firepit and see the stars.

Situated between the towns of Alberton and Tignish, we are minutes away from local amenities & incredible beaches. A short drive along Highway 12 will take you past several working harbors where fresh seafood is readily available! Drive to the end of the island to see the North Cape lighthouse, enjoy dinner or simply relax and enjoy some of the most incredible sunsets in the world!

The property is licensed by Tourism PEI (Licence # 2101283) and is inspected on an annual basis!! Like most rural properties on the Island, our water is supplied by a well that is located on the property. Although tested annually by the Province of PEI, filtered and safe to drink, some guests may prefer to use bottled water for drinking/cooking. Bottled water as well as a water cooler are available for you to use while you stay at our cottage

*Note No direct beach access from our property, but a short 5-minute drive will get you to the beautiful and private St. Felix beach.

The Crooked Cottage

A very beautiful, relaxing location. The cottage was fully equipped and so well stocked with everything we could imagine or ever need on a stay. Loved the view from the covered deck of the water and the local animal life {rabbits, squirrels and several species of birds including a couple of raptors.

North Coast

The cottage was nicely appointed. All amenities were top notch. Lots of beaches to visit. Location was good as we were visiting friends Unfortunately the look-out that is pictured to watch the sunsets is blocked by 15 feet of heavy trees. The bed was more like a futon not a mattress and these old bones were in protest. The water is not potable which we were not informed about until after the final payment was made to VRBO (not cool), bottled water was provided but we didn’t know that until we arrived (we travelled with water). Overall, it was an ok stay but it could have been better. I would recommend this cottage if these problems were addressed.

Great Getaway Stay

We really liked Crooked Cottage…it was a nice location,vey peaceful and relaxing. The cottage had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. Short drive to a nice beach and grocery stores in both directions.The veranda on the cottage was great…a nice place to sit and soak up the view. The owner Catherine was easily accessible…checked with us to see how things were going… We would definitely go back as it was a most enjoyable spot.

Lovely little cottage

The cottage was a great place to stay and relax and unwind. Great ambience. It’s well provisioned for summer with lots of cookware, bedding, candles, bbq ietc. and is located on a lovely piece of property above the red sandstone cliffs. Other than challenging cell coverage (but good WiFi) it was a great place to stay.

The Crooked Cottage Experience

We were pleased with the Cottage, but it would have been better if it was a little bigger and they cleared the high grass and bushes at the water's edge of the property for a better view of the ocean etc. We had technical issues with my husbands phone so could not contact the owners or manager. Now if I had their email I could have used my laptop to contact all, so it isn't the property owners fault. We live in the country so we know how to take care of everything. Overall the Cottage was perfect for us, for what we needed to do in P.E.I.

Property and cottage has everything you need. Pretty ocean lookout spot is a bonus. Wifi and BBQ both worked well. Host was easy to reach and helpful. Looking forward to returning to the Crooked Cottage next time we're out east!!

Such a great place, everything you could possibly need in a compact space. Great for exploring Western PEI. Atticus enjoyed the wide open lawn to chase his ball and we enjoyed the view.

A chilly week in Tignish

Very comfortable cottage perfect set up for our needs. We had a bad weather week so we could not enjoy the outside amenities of the cottage. We found plenty of interesting sights and activities to keep us busy. Enjoyed interacting with the locals who often seemed to become instant friends. Would definitely return!

Great Escape

Beautiful property. Very quiet on cliff overlooking the gulf. Clean and comfortable for a couple. We picked up our groceries in Summerside after crossing the bridge and were set for a week. Golf nearby and day trips with picnic are a must. Recommend driving north to the tip and walking the the 5K trial at the lighthouse. Would stay again and recommend.

Relaxing getaway

Very cute cottage with beautiful view of the ocean. Cottage has all the appliances that you would need and you will definitely enjoy your stay here. The check in process was extremely easy and the host was extremely quick to respond.

Beautiful rural cottage

Very private, comfortable cottage. The property is right on the water atop a rusty coloured cape., with birds and lots of bunnies in the grass. About 10 minutes to shopping and restaurants. Host is very prompt with messages.

Crooked Cottage

The Crooked Cottage is a little peace of paradise on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The property is peaceful and the birds and few rabbits that show up are a part of that state. Ocean is just off in the distance with many beaches to visit close by the Cottage. The unscreened deck is a bonus feature to the property with lots of shade by mid morning. For the purpose of my visit, the Crooked Cottage was a fine place to stay.
