Get ready for your vacation to begin! New construction home by award winning builder located on the Yellow River with direct access to Lake Wissota! The bright open concept living room, kitchen and dining room will allow you to enjoy each other’s company as you prepare your meals. Relax in one of the four bedrooms. Linens are included for the queen beds and the 2 full bathrooms.

If the weather is chilly, gather around the fire pit and make s'mores. Firewood is included. Games, books and puzzles are provided for relaxation, and also enjoy the game/poker table. Two Smart TVs allow you to use your personal Netflix or Hulu account so you don’t miss an episode of your favorite shows!

Enjoy the morning sunrise from the porch or the dock, which is only a few steps from the house for easy access. Bring your boat, tie it to the dock and enjoy fishing and water sports all day long.

Take a boat ride to the nearby restaurants or grill your dinner while relaxing on the covered porch. If you’re a nature lover, take a hike through Lake Wissota State Park, enjoy Ray’s Beach, or pull up to an island and play on the sandy beaches! Just minutes from the shops, restaurants, breweries, and wineries in the area.

The Hoosier Countryfest Crew

First impression as we walked in was just "wow". The property is beautiful and the owners were quick to respond when we had a question. We had plenty of space and everything we needed. Absolutely a great space with great proximity to Chippewa Falls and the fest grounds.

Wedding Weekend

A group of friends was looking for a place to stay while we were in Chippewa Falls for a wedding. Hotels were hard to find and overpriced due to another event in the area. The wedding was at an apple orchard outside of town, so hotels were also not suitable due to their distance from the venue. I was happy to find the Sunflower House as it was near to the venue, could accommodate our whole group and was reasonably priced. The house was awesome! Cheri and Joel were very easy to deal with and were quick getting back to us when we had questions. Also, we stupidly left some stuff behind and they are able to hold it for us and get it to some of our other friends. I highly recommend the Sunflower house to anyone looking for a vacation spot in the Chippewa Falls area!

Sunflower house

This property was everything we needed. It was very clean and very well equipped. The orders were very nice and accommodating. There was firewood ready to have a campfire, the kitchen was well equipped. If I could say one thing that would make it perfect. Perfect! It would be the steps down to the lake. Could have a hand railing on them. Other than that, top notch.

This is the place!

The Sunflower House is by far our favorite VRBO that we have stayed in. Clean and tidy doesn’t do it justice. Impeccably clean with absolutely everything you need. We hated to leave this little peace of heaven. This lakefront property is delightful. Imagine sitting on the dock watching herons, geese, ducks, turtles, etc. The owls called out at night. Oh, and the Northern Lights were the best we have seen. We will be back!

family get away

Had a great time and was a comfortable house for adult family. Nice place to relax and play some cards. Lovely view of the lake, and we also enjoyed some local actives that got us outdoors and having fun. Would definitely recommend this home!

Wonderful family getaway

Our family celebrated Christmas at the Sunflower House. Our stay was perfect. Wonderful decorations, comfortable beds, USB plugs in the night stands, toiletries to use, lots of pans. Everything we needed. It’s a lovely house with two large gathering areas. Excellent neighborhood. We will be back. Hosts are outstanding!

Cousins’ weekend

We moved our annual cousins “girls” weekend to the Sunflower House this year. We couldn’t have been happier with the move. The house was great: the space, location, amenities, etc. we spent more time at the house than expected because there really was no reason to leave. So peaceful and relaxing. We definitely hope to be back!

Wedding Weekend

This house was perfect for a girls weekend. Lots of space, nice open kitchen, direct access to the water, and the house was very clean. Communication and logistics were seamless. I would recommend if you're looking on Lake Wissota.

Annual Mother/Daughter Weekend

There were four of us and Sunflower totally fit the bill. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch as well as playing cards at the picnic table as the weather was beautiful the entire time. Very comfortable home with well appointed kitchen, including grilling utensils. Would most definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, Updated "Sunflower" House

Home is beautifully updated. Floors, cabinetry, every single room is lovely. The bedrooms are large and have extra pillows/blankets in closets. Bathrooms have lots of towels/washcloths and every sink has a filled liquid soap. There were lots of dishes/utensils/BBQ supplies-including marshmallow skewers. Fridge is large, and the ice-maker makes tons of ice. (tastes great) Water must be nice as we all commented on our hair feeling & looking great. The game room/game table is a fun addition, and we sat downstairs playing games & cards for hours one night. It was great! The weber grill and fire pit were awesome. There was charcoal already there (lucky us!) and nice plastic chairs around the fire pit! For people wanting to fish: we rented a pontoon from Wissota Pontoon Rental, and they brought it right to our dock & tied it on! It was easy. We enjoyed cruising the rather large lake quite a few hours over 2 days (follow the rental place instructions closely on shallow areas!), and made our best attempts at fishing, and we caught a total of 5 fish- 3 perch, 1 rock bass & 1 sunfish. We fished for about 7 hours one of the days, checking many many spots. We have never had that poor of fishing anywhere. It may be the time of year (end of July), the growth of tons of algae...don't know. We didn't expect to catch huge prize fish, but we had grandkids along, so thought we'd be able to get some sunny's! Nope. That was really the only disappointment. Loved our stay!

Great home. Great neighborhood. House is roomy & clean. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. The house is on a quiet part of the lake so we were able to dock our rental pontoon right at the house. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely home with pretty view of water

This home is even better than the pictures. The downstairs game room is open concept with the downstairs family room. Nice to have 2 separate family rooms. The main floor open concept kitchen/family room was great for all of us to gather in. The back porch with chairs was great for watching the boaters and wildlife. We didn't use the fire pit because it was very hot during our stay (in the 90s). The charcoal grill worked great; there was plenty of adirondack chairs, patio chairs and bag chairs for 12 people. Our only disappointment was the condition of the lake. Very algae filled; even at the state park beach. It was too yucky to swim, but okay for boating. Possibly all lakes are going to be this way from now on? Due to climate change maybe? Or too much pollution from too many gas powered boat motors?

Family Getaway

Great property, spacious, comfortable sleeping. Fairly well equipped. Beautiful area, lots to do close by. We enjoyed Leinies, Pickleball, two wineries, golf, The Candy Shop, Olson’s Ice Cream, local coffee shop for lunch, grilling back at the property. Our only disappointment was lack of catching fish. Thanks!

Basketball Tourney

We had a girls bball tourney in Eau Claire. This was a little more expensive than a hotel. So much better and great to be on the lake. House very new and modern. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Very nice place to stay

The house was perfect- there was enough space for everyone and it was so clean. We loved this place. It was so relaxing right on the water. We enjoyed the fire pit and used the grill. We would definitely go back.
