Absolutely amazing stay. Exceptionally clean and comfortable with stunning views. There is NOT one negative comment i can say except my regret is to not of stayed longer. We will definitely be back.
This property is a brand new endeavor for the owners. You could tell immediately how prideful they are of their operation. They went over and beyond to be entirely accommodating. I can’t say enough of how pleased we were with our stay. Simply put, we WILL be back!!
Kinda Cute but way overpriced, surroundings fixtures ehh
We drove through really great looking properties to get to this one and it’s like we crossed an invisible line to a not-so great neighborhood. The water was pretty in the daytime but the water was too shallow to actually successfully fish from the dock. At night the tide went out and the shoreline is covered in oysters and smells very badly. We rented this place so we didn’t have to leave but we had to in order to catch fish. The house was cute but definitely didn’t feel very secure. The bathroom door didn’t shut well and no locks on bedroom door. No coffee or shampoo provided. For less money this might be ok but What was charged is unacceptable. No instructions given for checkin before I contacted. Also no checkout instructions so I hope I did everything expected. I would not stay here again.
Great stay! There was once a negative review about the smell, but if you are an ocean lover like we are, I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s the real deal on the banks of the bay where you have sea life galore. Low tide, high tide, you get to see it all. Open the sliding glass door from 50 feet to the bank and let it in. The host has been amazing!
We pulled our pontoon boat to the cottage, but there are pontoon rentals from the launch next door.
Enjoyed a day of scalloping and a delicious dinner made with the catch. It was hard work, but lots of fun.
Enjoyed this place. Beautiful water view. Quick & easy access to the beach. Clean! Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of towels (and they checked in with us to see if we needed more). Quiet location. Would stay here again & would definitely recommend!
Had a great little stay at the cottage. Very clean and had a nice view of the bay! So easy to get to St George and Apalachicoloa! Seafood market next door is AMAZING! We went 3 times to get fresh seafood! Communication with owner was wonderful! She is very responsive to messages sent.
Clean and smelled fresh, everything in working order, host (actually her daughter) readily available for questions, ocean decor that was relaxing, enjoyed the daily Keurig coffee on the deck, beautiful birds who came to visit all day. Perfect.
The cottage was so nice, clean and right there on the water.. just what I wanted.. Had everything we needed and more. It was great having so many towels, washcloths, blankets and a stocked kitchen... lLoved that there was a dock, grill, fire pit, hammock and kayaks for use!! What else could you want!? Not far at all from St George (beach with beautiful houses and wonderful places to eat) over one bridge. Then, over another was the downtown Appalachicola are. GREAT food, cool shops, great to walk around….Our host was wonderful to offer suggestions when we reached out to her.. Also so nice of her to allow us to do a late check out when we asked. She was GREAT..loved watching the little boys from the seafood market next door fish, so sweet. We would recommend!! Thank you for everything!!
Such a great place! We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the porch, purchased freshly caught fish and shrimp from the market next door, grilled them on the grill and roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. Read books, gathered sea shells on St George Island, and did a little shopping. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back!
Love love love this house! Perfect size for us. House was spotless, location was perfect, and it came with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Can't wait to come back.
The property owner was friendly, hospitable, and easy to work with. The rental space was very clean, had appealing decor and efficient use of space and was set in a beautiful location. Would definitely recommend.
When traveling to SGI, my family usually stays on the island, but this year I decided to try something different and rent in a different location. My family truly loved the location of this rental as it was only a very short drive to the island. Mornings were spent sitting on porch and watching dolphins play right in front of us. This home was very clean, well maintained, great location, stocked with everything you'd need and an all around great vacation spot. My family will rent this awesome home again in the near future.
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay. It was the first time we had stayed off the island on the bay and it was wonderful. St. George was really close so we were able to go to the beach and our fav restaurant The Blue Parrot and then return to quiet and solitude during a high traffic time of year. It was one of the cleanest places we had ever stayed. We would love to stay at this property again.
We stayed here a couple days before we checked into our home on SGI. This was one of the best houses we’ve stayed in. The house itself was so clean. The location was perfect and peaceful. We will definitely be back.
Great place to stay with close travel to St.George. Had a good time fishing right in front. Maybe in the future could add a couple stairs at the front so as not to walk around the ramp every single time to go inside, but that doesn't take away from the stay. Great communication as well.
