Luxury vacation cottage - walk to downtown New Buffalo, beach, and heated pool!

Welcome to our vacation home! Newly built in December 2019, Riverview Cottage is located in the heart of downtown New Buffalo in a quiet and quaint neighborhood. Our house is on a deadend street overlooking the Galien River marsh with great sunset views. You can walk to everything - just a few blocks from restaurants (Stray Dog, Redamaks, etc), the local grocery store, shops, and public beach. Close to the casino, wineries, and breweries of Harbor Country. Spend the day at the beach or hang out at our private heated association pool just steps from the house. This house is beautifully decorated and designed for large group vacations. Our house has a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a dining table that seats 12 comfortably, a living room with large TV and gas fireplace, a fun and relaxing basement which includes a large TV, card table, and gorgeous custom wet bar. Relax with a cocktail on the covered front porch or chill out with a book on the enclosed back patio. Our backyard includes an outdoor dining table, a gas grill, a fire pit, and an outdoor shower. Everything you would need to build wonderful memories with friends and family!

We loved this house! Not only is the style of the house impeccable and adorable, but it was also nicely equipped from dishes to linens to shampoo and conditioner. The location cannot be beat! We love walking to the beach, downtown and pool. The street is quiet and safe (you don’t really notice the trains coming through and when you do, they are gone so quickly. The owner is super responsive and kind. The community pool could use some cleaning and a few updated chairs but this house is perfect and we had the best time!

Wonderful property
We had a wonderful family vacation. This home was beautiful and they thought of all details to make it a wonderful stay. There were so many additional items we weren’t expecting such as the bathrooms being stocked with some toiletries and each shower even had hair products and body wash. I would suggestion you mention items you have available to take to the beach such as wagons and chairs so that people don’t have to try to fit those items in their cars to travel. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the accessibility of pool. The listing implied a“private” pool for a small neighborhood of homes but we found the pool was always full with large families and tons of kids. There weren’t any chairs even available to use and we really could only use it late around 9pm until closing when those families were doing bedtime. Thank you for sharing this wonderful vacation home.

Great House in a Great Town
This was our third time to New Buffalo and first time in this house. Dan and Jewel were excellent hosts - friendly, quick to reply, and provided everything we needed for our stay. The house is wonderfully decorated, has quality fixtures, kitchen supplies, and thoughtful details. The walkability is unbeatable. I couldn't recommend this home and neighborhood more. We will be back!

Perfect weekend getaway
We had a group of 11 adults traveling to New Buffalo for a weekend without the kids. This house was perfect! It had plenty of space and was exceptionally clean. We really loved that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go! We didn’t have any issues at all, and would love to stay again. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot for a group with kids
The kids loved the pool and the easy scooter ride to the beach. Parents were able to enjoy time walking thru the little town, eating and drinking at local spots and it was so easy to spend hours at the beach with the whole crew.

We had such a wonderful stay at Dans Riverview cottage! It’s walking distance to everything, has everything you could ask for and allowed the entire extended family (from 3–72) to comfortably stay together. Would definitely stay again!

Lots of quiet time sitting on porches. Pool daily and walked to town and went to dunes and brewery’s. Such a wonderful location. Beds were so comfortable. Homey and wonderful neighborhood w other renters that we met last year weee there this same week as us. Perfect in every way!

Enjoyed walking to town. You do need to bring your own supplies. Needed to purchase extra paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags. They don’t supply much. Had one issue with communication with owners. The pool gate was not working and some of our group and 2 other families renting were locked in the pool. The electric gate would not work. Called owner for help and he said he would make calls but never did. Finally reached the person he said he would call an hour later and she had never heard from him. She did help and had a contractor out quickly to help.
