We have stayed in several cabins in the Smokies and this cabin was our favorite by far. The setting could not have been more perfect. The kids enjoyed tubing and playing in the water and the views were a dream. Definitely will be back!
Was a great get away. I misread the no wifi on the description but I’m thankful there was no wifi. Was a great place to unplug. Would go back every weekend if I could. The creek is amazing, cabin is cozy, and a quiet area with only the sound of the creek.
Beautiful cabin is warm and homey love the stream and the sound. My family really enjoy it made lots of memories cause we spent Christmas there despite the freezing temperatures dropping down to -3 degrees the neighbors are very friendly John gave us firewood we made s’mores sang songs watch movies played card games just Family bonding!
Sara, was helpful answer all my questions and the town folks are very friendly.
We had the best stay at this cabin. Upon walking in with my family I looked around and seen all the memories of a family that owns this cabin. This is definitely a memory making cabin. We enjoyed fishing in the creek and I absolutely loved that there was no phone service (landline for emergencies ). Until we went back down the mountain. Great family memories were made . We will definitely book this cabin again. I have stayed in several Vrbo rentals and this was by far the entire families favorite. Very clean! And the contact between my family and the rental place was above and beyond expected.
My husband and I have been coming to this cabin for several years. I brought my mom, sisters and niece up to celebrate mom’s birthday and we had the BEST time! We’re already looking at dates we can return.
What we love: it’s cozy and homey, a true cabin retreat. No WiFi or cell coverage but there is a house phone. You really have to unplug. The porch swing and outdoor dining are perfect. And there’s the neighborhood lab who stops by for visits. Don’t worry if you don’t like dogs - he’s well-behaved and will move along if you ignore him. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you should need. And the best part - the location on this beautiful creek…it’s so relaxing.
Sara is an incredibly thoughtful host, making our stay extra special, THANK YOU!! We’ll be back soon!
This property is loved by both myself and my sisters family. The creek and seclusion is wonderful!
We have stayed at the house twice now and we just love it! The area the house is located in has little to no cell service and the the house does not have internet which we LOVE! It really allows us to disconnect and just enjoy everything the house, creek and mountains have to offer. This house is a little piece of mountain paradise!
We loved living with and waking to the sounds of the creek rushing past the cabin. The sheltered deck made it easy to enjoy the outdoors no matter the weather. Inside, the beds were comfortable, the house was clean and all the amenities and supplies you could need were at hand. Hoping to return!
This property was an excellent get away to unwind. There is zero cell signal at the location but we didn’t mind. Great memories made with different friends

Coldest Christmas morning EVER!
The house was located in a beautiful area. When we arrived, the house was cold and the heater off. When we turned it on it didn't work properly. The next morning I contacted the manager with a voicemail, she called back hours later, only to tell us to turn it up 2 degrees. Long story short, Christmas morning my bedroom was 49 degrees. For the last night the manager did drop off some space heaters. It was 10 degrees outside. I paid almost one thousand dollars to not have heat. Take off my trash in my car to a dump site. Had to leave to buy toiletries upon arrival. When I get there I read the house rules to tell ME I have to clean the fireplace. Coffee maker was needing cleaned. A keurig coffee maker shouldn't take forever. Mine doesn't. I don't mind doing for myself, but when I pay for a service I expect far more than what my family received. I guess the manager thinks a 25% refund makes it right. Sorry, I don't. Never has my family been treated this way. I would hope in the future VRBO would do a little homework on the properties to ensure a more pleasurable experience for their customers. There was a fire place but no wood. The manager told ME to go buy some so my family could have heat on these 10 degree nights. Thank goodness one of the neighbors let us have some wood to burn.
Check in was easy, GPS was good on getting us there, place was great, would have loved a shower upstairs but it was fine with one shower. Loved all the family memories on the walls, felt like we knew them. A friendly neighbor up the road stopped by when we were outside and asked if we were relatives. It was a nice setting on the water and felt like home. Best thing no wifi, it was wonderful no one working. Thank you
We loved our little break from life and this cottage provided the perfect place. We could have stayed much longer. Well equipped, we had everything we needed. The sound of the stream running was refreshing. We look forward to returning! Thank you for providing an excellent relaxation spot.
My husband and I booked this property to celebrate my 50th. The location was above and beyond expectations. We planned to hike each day and head to town (20 minute drive) each evening for dinner. We only did that once. Instead, we stayed at the property the whole time - on the porch swing or in the reclining lawn chars we set by the creek each morning. It really is a lovely place to stay. Note that there’s spotty to no internet/cell service but we knew that going in. I expect we’ll be back again. Thank you!
beautiful house with views of the river from many rooms. comfortable furniture, nice fireplace. Could have been cleaned better, there was hair in the shower. Have to take your own trash to the dump. Main con was a sewage smell to the water. Will book elsewhere in the future
What a beautiful place. If getting “off the grid” and away is appealing, this is the place. A quaint little creek side cabin. Just enough comforts without losing the cabin vibe. Franklin has a great downtown for an afternoon exploration. Can’t wait to return.
The house was beautiful, well stocked with everything you would need to feel at home. The sound of the river in the back yard put me right to sleep at night. They have a phone line and satellite dish for t.v. but no internet, cell service. It took a little getting used to, but overall it was nice to disconnect for a while. The hummingbirds and a friendly deer were a real treat. We look forward to going back next June. Amazing vacation.
We wanted a nice quiet getaway and found this location at the last minute. What a wonderful cabin with a million dollar view. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The only downfall was no internet or cell service, so we had to go into town to use the internet for work. We will stay here again.
