We enjoyed the cleanliness The cottage was clean and comfortable. Did not have blinds that fit the windows well. The road noise was annoying. and convenience. However the road noise was annoying
My wife and I really enjoyed our trip. Every morning we’d wake up to a beautiful view of the bay. We brought our senior dog Judy, who seemed to really enjoy herself as well. If you’re looking for a clean, affordable place to stay on the water, this is it! We brought our little boat. The ramp is literally next door which makes launching a breeze. Unfortunately we had to evacuate due to the storms. Throughout that process the host was great and communicated well.
Great location to St George Island.Cottage is very dog friendly and our dog loved hanging on the porch and St George is very dog friendly and the dog loved the beach.

Nice location
We enjoyed our stay and the location was very nice. It was adequate for cooking and the beds were comfortable.. it’s not fancy but very comfortable & had a beautiful view. We did have a problem with the toilet leaking around the base. I tried to contact the host and got no reply.
The property was exactly what we were looking for...close to lots of spots, access to fishing and very nice, clean home to stay in for the weekend. Property owners were quick to respond to any questions I had and the check in and check out process could not have been more smooth. Would love to stay here again!
Nice clean property, close to St George Island and Apalachicola. Overlooks the water with a nature preserve nearby the dogs enjoyed walking in. No stairs so it’s suitable for disabled travelers. Bed space for 5 or 6 but I would have felt cramped with more than the 2 we had - one small bathroom and a small kitchen. Nice experience - I would stay here again.
Hard to find places that allow pets and this was awesome! Ocean views and fishing right off the dock. We grilled out on the grill one night. Bought cheap poles and bait across the street and fished for a while. Also, only 10 minutes to St George Island where we took the dogs to play on the beach!
The cabin is just the right size for the two of us. Stayed for 7 days and it rained most of the week. Weather did not effect the comfort of the cabin. The porch was a good place for coffee in the morning and reading
We very much enjoyed our stay on The Forgotten Coast. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had a great view of The Bay. The sitting area and grills were a nice touch. We loved that they allowed dogs as we brought our two rescues. Nice location in Eastpoint that gave us a chance to visit Apalachicola and St. George Island. We would consider staying here again when we return to the area. Thank you.
This is a perfect place to stay. If you have a boat, you’re right next to a boat ramp just watch for that low tide. Take a walk to see my buddy Matt at bayside coffee (it takes 3 minutes). You’re close to Apalach if you want to go there or the beaches at SGI. Overall a great place to stay and works definitely stay again.
The location was great, trailer was awesome. Very clean and the queen bed was so comfortable I had to see who made the mattress. Lol. There were 4 of us, all adults and a German Shepard, plenty of room for us and the bunk beds were comfy as well The host was awesome and checked on us to make sure everything was ok and even brought us extra towels which was great because it rained most everyday and we came in from fishing soaking wet but had a great time. Will stay here again ✌🏻
Delayed Check-in - Dirty Floor - Generally Not Good
Owner sent us a message on the afternoon of our checkin to inform us that our check-in would be delayed from 4 PM to 5 PM. No explanation. No communication. We started messaging them about 4 o’clock suggesting that if whatever was happening got done sooner we were just down the street and we could go ahead and check in. No response. We finally we got a message from them at 5:30 saying that we could check in. That’s one and a half hour later than the advertised check in time. When we arrived at the house, the owners were frantically leaving with cleaning supplies in hand. They told us the previous renter trashed the place and that they had been cleaning this 600 sq. Ft. Building since 9:00 a.m.Once we got checked in, we realized that the house was not waterfront. It’s actually sits behind two other park models, and that was falsely advertised. The house was not clean. The towels were dirty. The floor was dirty. We found that out when we dropped the towel on the floor and to wipe something up and the white towel came back up brown. The sheets were thin and had tears in them. It was just not a good experience. Would not
Drove 12 hours was told unit would be ready it wasn’t!!! There was a tornado warning and severe lightning storm warning. After driving 12 hours had to turn around and 12 hours back home. Owners would not give even 1/2 of money back or reschedule for another time. They showed no concern at all for our situation and even had VRBO message me to tell me not to request refund or different accommodations
My family and I had a wonderful experience here! It was the perfect size for the 4 of us (2 young boys on the bunk beds). We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and fishing at the dock. Very close to great restaurants and the public beaches on St. George Island.
The owners were fantastic! We had a small hiccup that was completely out of anybody’s control and they came immediately to help! They certainly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and we won’t forget that.
Hope to go back soon!
Cottage was clean and comfortable, perfect for two guys fishing for the weekend. Great communication with the property manager. Would definitely stay again.
