A truly unique property that sits right off beautiful Cottonwood Creek and is close to the Cottonwood Pass, Arkansas River, and plenty more outdoor adventures!

This Homey Creekside Cottage has hardwood floors throughout, living room with 2 leather recliners and a sectional couch, 47” flat-screen TV with surround sound, Dish satellite TV, DVD player, and high-speed Internet, dining table seats up to 6 comfortably. Efficient fully equipped kitchen with beautiful copper sink, new stainless-steel appliances, natural gas stove/oven, master bedroom that faces the mountains and creek, the second bedroom is very roomy, offering a comfortable queen trundle bed.

After a long day of adventure its time to pour a glass of wine and relax on the back deck overlooking Cottonwood Creek where you are likely to see local deer passing through while being serenaded by birds.

There is absolutely nothing more relaxing and restorative than this cozy cottage and we are here to serve you & help you have the best vacation ever!

Hidden Gem

I stay at least twice per year in BV to go fly fishing with Ark Anglers. This is by far one of THE BEST places we have stayed. So clean, everything you need, plus a very relaxing back porch with the relaxing stream just off of the porch. Beds were comfy, plenty of parking, very central to BV and just a fantastic stay from start to finish. Definitely looking to stay here on our next trip. We for sure will be repeats (if it isn't booked already).

We stayed at this property before and that's why we came back. Beautiful location and great accommodations. The only things missing were coffee and body wash - fortunately there is a City Market within minutes of the property.

Wonderful

Cute and had everything we needed for a great weekend. Perfect location to get around the area to all the activities we had planned and come back to a Creekside meal and bed. Can’t wait to stay here again.

A great rental in an amazing town

The house was perfect for us. We had coffee every morning Creekside on the deck. The bed was comfortable. We loved going to sleep with the babbling creek just outside. It’s an easy walk to restaurants and the park. It’s a quick drive to the Arkansas River. There are great hikes from there. There are several good restaurants in the downtown area. Overall it’s a great small town to spend time in.

AMAZING AND PEACEFUL MODERN CREEKSIDE COTTAGE

It's even better in person! House was immaculate and so peaceful and calming having the creek right outside the back deck. Julie, the host, is exceptional in answering any questions you have. Will definitely go back and stay there!

The location was close to town, but it didn't feel like we were in town. We loved sitting on the deck and listening to the water rush by. It was a very relaxing stay.

Buena Vista Charm

My family enjoyed our stay at this comfortable creekside cottage. Wonderful time of year to visit and see the Fall colors in Colorado. This cottage proved to be a great location to access a variety of hiking trails. Interlachen Trail in Twin Lakes proved to be the best!

Fantastic location

This place was superb, the location on the creek was so majestic. We stayed here with another couple. The house was the perfect size and the bedrooms were away from each other. Everything was perfect and the owners were so wonderful and very communicative. We will absolutely be back!

Well equipped kitchen and cottage. Suggestions: Trim around the deck to see the creek, check faucet in master bath sink for hot water (the cartridge on left), crowing rooster starts crowing at 5:15 am. We really enjoyed our stay

Lovely place and lovely owners

This is a well-maintained gem, great for any type of visitor. The back porch does indeed back up directly to the river, and the spotless interior has all the modern conveniences, plus comfy furniture and all the dishes and cookware (and paper goods) anyone would need. This isn't an isolated cabin; it is in a very quiet neighborhood that is a short drive to Main Street and a short drive to mountain recreation. Also--I still can't believe how kind the owner was when we accidentally broke something in the house. Highly recommend!!

Cute Cottage

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in the 2 bedroom and 2 bath cottage on the river. We accidently locked ourselves out of the cottage while unloading our luggage. :O The owner Julie was very quick to respond and help us get back in. I enjoyed the large counter space in the master bathroom. The master bedroom king bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Love the creek off the deck; very serene. Bring your mosquito spray though! Also be aware there are roosters and ducks next door. Not too much of a nuisance; somewhat humorous and adds to the country feel. Would stay again when back in the Buena Vista area.

Love this home

My husband and I have stayed here in Buena Vista several times at this cozy house on Cottonwood Creek. We love everything about this place. Close to everything in and near BV but does not feel like you are in the middle of the city noise. The beds are comfortable, the house is warm and inviting and plenty of room for 4 guests. The place makes you feel right at home. We love sitting on the back patio in the evenings and listening to the creek. We had a deer come visit us one evening. Comfortable, clean and cozy! We will be back again.

Perfect place for two couples!

The pictures do not do this property justice. It is WAY BETTER in person! My sister, her husband and my husband went for a socially distanced vacation and it was the perfect spot! Close to town and literally ON the river...we couldn’t have asked for a better place. Rooms are at opposite ends of the house with their own bathrooms which makes it great for traveling with couples. The master bedroom is at the back of the house and faces the deck, so at night open the windows and you will be serenaded by the peaceful sounds of the river. We LOVED it kitchen was fully equipped to make meals, plus a grill. We enjoyed dinners on the back deck and the beautiful view of the mountains to the West. Also, the cutest puppy neighbor, Arlo. We loved it and hope to be back!

Home Away from Home

Love this location, one of our favorite places to stay! Centrally located for many activities that we love to do.. House has everything that we could possibly want. Jerry and Julie Henderson grew up in Kansas City, and went to the University of Kansas, they married and spent 23 years in South Florida where we raised 3 daughters. In 1980, Jerry and Julie moved to Buena Vista, CO where they enjoyed mountain hiking and playing tennis. They also loved being involved with the community theatre! They also have an ongoing passion for reading…..anything from history to cookbooks, etc. Jerry and Julie love Buena Vista and truly enjoy showing others what is available here.

Recently updated, homey and very roomy, 2 bedroom creekside cottage conveniently located near the heart of town Buena Vista and the majestic Collegiate Peaks.
Features cozy living room includes 2 leather recliners and sectional couch, 47” flat-screen TV, DVD player, high-speed Internet, satellite dish. Living room and dining room seat 6 comfortably. Hardwood floors throughout. Efficient kitchen with copper sink, new stainless steel appliances, natural gas stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, crockpot, teapot, etc. The master bedroom faces the mountains and creek. A comfortable trundle bed makes into a queen bed in the second bedroom. Front and back decks with rustic outdoor furniture. You will surely enjoy watching the amazing variety of birds and wildlife from both decks; you can also fish from the back deck!

What makes this property unique

This beautiful part of Colorado has much to offer any time of year. Many outdoor activities and special events make the Buena Vista area a fun and interesting place to visit. Fun and exciting rafting on the Arkansas River in the summer, excellent skiing in the winter months. Mountain climbing/hiking, fishing, golfing and other activities for you to enjoy. You will be very pleased with the wide variety of good restaurants, coffee houses, sports bars and places to shop.
