The Perfect Natural Getaway

No picture could ever fully capture the beauty of what Marc and Marytsa have created on their property. Staying in the guesthouse feels like staying at a nature retreat, there’s great natural beauty to enjoy all around you, if that’s your thing this is your place. It is very private and secluded but in a great location on the island.

A wonderful stay!

We spent four wonderful weeks in the guesthouse. The house is very well equipped. We particularly appreciated the mosquito net over the bed. This meant we could leave the windows open at night. The outside area also invited us to linger. The gravelled area was great for lying in the sun or shade and we enjoyed our meals and Blue Curaçao on the covered terrace. We were also able to observe numerous tropical birds (hummingbirds, tropical mockingbirds, bananaquits, brown-cheeked parakeets and trupials) and reptiles (iguanas, lizards, geckos and anoles). Marytsa and Marc were very accommodating and always had an open ear for our wishes. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wat een heerlijke accomodatie om tot rust te komen in een prachtige omgeving. Vanaf dit punt ben je snel in Willemstad maar kan je ook het prachtige westen ontdekken met de mooiste strandjes. Even helemaal niks? Dan is de accommodatie een heerlijke plek om te zijn, intiem maar functioneel en van alle gemakken voorzien. Top plek met super aardige eigenaren;-)

Great base for island exploration

We stayed at the Guesthouse for two weeks of our five week stay on Curacao. It was a great base to explore the north and west side of the island. Always looked forward to coming back for a relaxing afternoon by the plunge pool. As others say, it's quite private, just sharing the space with geckos, birds, assorted small and entertaining wildlife. You do hear the traffic from the main road, but night times are quiet. The bathroom is nice and big, and the bed is very comfortable. Overall, a lovely stay!

The Perfect Stay @ Landhuis des Bouvrie

My husband and I had a spectacular week away at this simply perfect guesthouse. Superb location with easy access to the most beautiful west end beaches, sunsets and Willemsted. Marc & Marytza have created an oasis of privacy and restored beauty of an awesome landhuis. They are so sweet and honor your privacy to enjoy this slice of paradise. We could would strongly recommend this lovely one of a kind property. Marc and Marytza will make you feel immediately at home. We hope to return soon. Wonderful private getaway

Truly a hidden gem. This was a beautiful, private and cozy guesthouse, surrounded by nature. The property had all amenities necessary and the hosts were wonderful (including Cash and Rosie). Highly recommended!

Jean Marc des Bouvrie is a free style designer. He started as an architect and designed projects and private houses all over the world. He has a clear signature but works very close with his clients. Because of his strong feeling of atmospheres and his love for art he started to create surprising forms of furniture, lights and workable art. Being an architect and a designer, Jean Marc has the power to create a space from scratch till an amazing result from in and outside. Always trying to reinvent himself and to inspire his clients.
Together with his partner Marytsa Schoester, they rent out the landhouse and transform this to a superstay in the middle of mother nature.
This with an athmosphere of a combination of monumental and modern.
Marytsa Schoester has an art background, specialised in design and styling, with a lot of experience in hosting.
Together they want to give you an unforgettable and very relaxed stay in beautiful Curacao!
