A very nice, well-appointed mountain home set in the woods on a private road. More amenities than we could possible use. Pet friendly
Close to Cripple Creek, and a nice little store just down the road for last minute items.
Bring a flashlight because it is dark, dark, dark at night if you are letting the dog out.
I'd re-book this property.
This cabin is awesome. Clean - cozy - easy to find.
Weather was beautiful and this cabin is so welcoming. We felt right at home. I recommend this VRBO cabin to
anyone wanting to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Loved our stay and the access to so many interesting places to explore. House was well appointed and comfortable with good water pressure and screens on the windows so we could open the house in the afternoon. Loved the coffee maker options since some like brewed and others pods. Small grocer nearby in the ACE hardware building had everything we needed.
This property was everything we could ask for and even more than we expected. We loved the coziness and relaxing atmosphere of this cabin. Very clean, well stocked and comfortable. People questioned the lack of air conditioning, but there was no need for it. The cabin stayed cool and the ceiling fans provided circulation of air. We loved that we could be at many attractions in less than an hour, but come home to the quiet of the cabin. We enjoyed fires outside and many meals together on the decks. Coffee on the smaller deck in the morning while watching the hummingbirds was a great way to start our days. There was plenty of room for our dog outside the cabin and the gated deck was a plus as well. As you can see, we loved our time here. Would love to return! Thanks to our hosts and all they did to make our time in Colorado so special.
This cabin was the best decision ever! My family absolutely loved it. It is in a great location, it is very clean and cozy, well stocked and was exactly as pictured on the listing. It was perfectly situated in between Colorado Springs and Canon City, where we ventured to in order to mark some adventures off our list. We traveled into Cripple Creek several times just to explore, and it is such a cute little town. Plenty to do, with plenty wildlife to see. Next time we plan a trip back to this area, this is the place we will check first for a return stay.
Dream house I would love to own. Very peaceful and quiet. Tall balcony out back was amazing that wasn’t shown in pictures. Looked exactly like pictures. We stayed mid July and got very lucky weather barely got up to 80. We rode cog train up pikes peak , rode train in cripple creek, visited casino s, went to go karts in Colorado Springs, checked out arcades and garden of gods. It was a great family trip.
This cabin was clean and well appointed as promised. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the wildlife. Although it was in the small print none of us noticed that the cabin did not have AC only heat. Fortunately the temps remained cool enough that a small fan made it pleasant. We did not expect to have as much noise from the traffic on County rd 1. It was quite busy. This would not have been an issue if there were AC and we could have simply closed all the windows. The internet was quite slow but frankly I am surprised they even get internet service out there and I was not bothered by the slow speeds because I was too busy taking in the scenery. Overall we had a great time.
My family and I stayed 4 nights here and it was great! If you have AT&T, be sure to have door code/wifi info printed out or loaded on your phone before arriving. We had to drive toward the town a ways in order to get enough reception to load the vrbo app for this info. The property was very quiet and private, some road noise. Plenty of firewood and fire starters provided. Closest grocery store is only about 12 minutes away. Would love to stay again one day!
Beautiful cabin in the woods/mountains with easy access to many activities. Cabin was exceptionally clean, kitchen well stocked and beds were comfortable. This cabin was even dog friendly which is hard to find. Definitely a five star stay!
Centrally located for outdoor adventures, fishing was great, and tourists locations in any direction 40 minutes which was better than our target plan
Knives and cookware could use an upgrade. Cooked 90%,of meals on grill so only a small improvement. Not a fan of electric stoves but that is the cook inside of me and knew that at time of reservation.
Great supplies of wood and charcoal
A bit of road noise but not too bothered by it as we were gone most of day
Beautiful cabin in a great location. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The Host were extremely nice. I definitely would stay again.
We weren't sure we would make it since the day before we arrived, they received 29+" of snow! But the owner was great to keep in communication with us and somehow got a snowplow there to clean the road to the cabin drive and we made it! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Just like the pictures show. ALL the beds were super comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with gear and even food staples. The kids (5 & 6) had so much fun sledding and playing in the snow and seeing the mountains and beautiful surroundings. Check in was super easy and like i said, the communication with the owners was fantastic. They kept us in the loop with the status of getting the road cleared. Don't hesitate at all to stay here. You won't regret it. It's roomy, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and in a beautiful location. Colorado Springs and The Royal Gorge were each about an hour drive away but what a beautiful drive! Thanks for such a great stay!

About the host
Hosted by Todd and Gina Seale
My name is Todd Seale and my wife's name is Gina. We have lived in Colorado since 2013, moved up from Texas. I worked in the oil field until I lost my job at the beginning of covid but we bought the cabin in hopes of really providing a great place for our guests to get away and relax. Having a vacation rental can be expensive but we decided it was worth it to go the extra mile for our guests.. We are so thankful to have the greatest guests in the world who come and stay at the cabin. When we purchased the cabin we lived in Grand Junction, about a 5 hour drive away. We made many trips to the cabin but then decided to move to Colorado Springs where I got a job working at the new Amazon facility and my wife takes care of the cabin. We plan on purchasing another property soon because we just love providing a place for folks to go to get away from it all so we hope if you decide to stay at our cabin you have the most amazing time and enjoy beautiful Colorado.
Why they chose this property
We landed this gem in the beginning of covid times. We wanted to give our guests the absolute best possible experience we could and strive to add to the cabin constantly by offering more amenities, upgrading the bedding and providing the absolute best service we can so you can just enjoy your time away from home. We are set on being available and close by so if you need anything during your stay, we can come assist. The property is located driving distance to many of the nearby attractions and Colorado has an unending supply of activities for anyone and everyone to enjoy no matter which season is upon us.
What makes this property unique
Our greatest desire for the cabin is that we provide an express 5 star getaway experience for our guests. We decided to provide even more essentials so you wouldn't have to bring anything but clothes, food and drinks. We do everything we can to make your getaway as relaxing and fun as possible without having to go purchase anything extra.
