We had comfortable beds and basics in the room 2 with bunk beds and adjacent bathroom and shower. LOVED the full outdoor kitchen equipped with all we could need and the sitting areas. with lounge chairs and seating areas were perfect for watching the scenery and stars. It's an easy walk up the hill from the Starlight or coffee shot- we had a great time!
we loved this place so much! everything was clean and quiet and convenient. we loved getting to walk to the starlight theater and get on the waitlist and then walking back to our place to wait until it was our turn. saw amazing stars as well! thanks!
Enjoyed the ambience of the property. We stayed there for 5 days. Only reason I do not give it five stars is the oven didn’t work, one grill didn’t work and one had one side that worked. We were there riding dirt bike in the national park and state park. Bunkhouse room # 2 looked bigger in the pictures.

Close to the park, rustic charm, and reasonably priced.
Very cool property. Great place to stay in the Big Bend area. Overlooks the mountains and Terlingua Ghost Town. I would highly recomend this property for a stay.
Really enjoyed staying here! The location is about 20 minutes away from Big Bend and is located right next to several fabulous restaurants (Starlight Theater, Cafe Y poco mas). Everything at the property was incredibly clean, and there were no issues sharing a bathroom with other guests. The shared outdoor spaces were wonderful for watching stars. Would absolutely recommend this place and would stay here again!
This was the perfect place for our 2 day stay to explore Big Bend and the surrounding area! The beds were comfortable and the bathroom/shower was vert clean and nice. The dark sky and stars were amazing! The communication with the host was fabulous....super responsive and always available. I highly recommend you stay here.
The location of the property is very convenient to Big Bend or River Road and the view is amazing! The property is quite quirky but totally rounded out our first time experience in West Texas.

Nice small room with no amenities and that was just great for us. Could use much better heating systems in the shower room. Staff did take care of that with larger electric heaters.

Property was clean & great care has been taken to provide a nice outside area with great views. The bunkroom is pretty small & the community bathroom a minor inconvenience. All told we had a very positive experience.
We liked the property a lot. Very unique, coffee shop and Starlight theater, food & drink close by. we had 4 nihts in the bunkhouse room. It was the only drawback, bunkbed-too firm, sleeper sofa too soft, shared bath out of room a little inconvenient. Despite that would definitely stay there again, but in a different room.
Last night of our 5 day journey from Houston through San Antonio, Alpine, Maria and Big Bend, We saved the best for last! This place is so charming, and wonderful for friends. Even a delightful fire pit under the expansive stars, after dinner at one of the delightful places in walking distance. Great coffee is th e morning too. Even better than advertised. Only drawback was the per person charge - in the fine print- that showed up after we confirmed the reservation.

I had my doubts about this place when I first pulled up to it, but I ended up loving it. It's kind of a communal setting (but we all had our own bathrooms). There's an outdoor kitchen with a stove and a fridge, if you want to cook, and there is lots of outdoor seating. I ate at the nearby Mexican restaurant, which was really good. The nearest grocery store is about 15 minutes away. This place is convenient to Big Bend National Park, which is why I stayed there. The bed was very comfortable, and the place was very quiet. I slept like a rock.
Room was tidy and clean. There was no electricity the first couple of hours but that was a minor annoyance. I knew beforehand that the shower and toilet were communal, but I didn't like not having any water at all in my room. Be sure to consider that before you rent. It was walking distance to a coffee shop, restaurants, and store. This is a good base location for traveling in the Big Bend area. Overall, a good experience for me. However, I'm not sure I want to go the shared shower/toilet route again.
