The Laughin' Place is a Pawleys Island home on the South Carolina coast at the South End of Pawleys Island. A place where smiles and laughter are served and where the tide washes away all cares. Like Brer Rabbit said 'Everybody's got a laughin' place where they can go ...' and this is in the heart of one of the best area islands on the South Carolina Coast. We hope you will enjoy it as your 'Laughin' Place', too!

The best of Pawleys, Oceanfront AND Creekside: Two-Story home with one deck and two screened porches. Laughin’ Place features three separate living areas so large groups of people have space for privacy as well. The ocean is just outside the door. Sit under the house in the shade or pull your chairs on out to sun on the beach.

THIS RENTAL IS FOR THE MAIN LEVEL AND ONE BEDROOM TOTAL BEDROOMS, NOT THE UPSTAIRS SECTION. The Main floor has living and dining room combination, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, and 2 baths. A wet bar with a refrigerator and ice maker is great for morning coffee, and other beverages. Across the stairwell on same level is a 1 bedroom suite with bath and separate living area. This area also has a wet bar with a refrigerator and ice maker.

Bedroom layout - in the 4 bedroom section there are 2 rooms with queen beds, a room with 2 twins and a set of bunk bed and a room with 2 twins and a trundle bed. Each queen room shares a bath with a room with twin beds. The Creekside Suite has a king size bed and a sleeper sofa with a bath.


We have added a covered dock on the creek with a floating section that is sure to be a favorite spot for all. Be sure to climb all the way up the stairs to the top of the house for a breathe-taking view from the deck on the roof. The unique layout offers as much or as little of the Laughin' Place as you need.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location...South part of the island is the best. Great house overall, although there a few issues. There are soft spots in the floors, most notable at the entryway to the main apartment and the North Oceanside bedroom. The kitchen could use a garbage disposal. A really great vacation on the beach! Pawleys Island is a special place.

There is a lot about this property renters need to know!
The listing makes it clear that you are renting the main floor. It does NOT make it clear that someone else is renting the two bedrooms above you. They will be in your space when you try to use your dock, passing you on the stairs, etc. A dog frightened our guests, rushing him and barking loudly. You will hear them flush, shower, wash their hands, walk over top of the master bedroom. The house was not clean. The dryer does not stop. Do not use it and go down to the beach. It is a real fire hazard. Outlets in one bedroom do not work. There are not outlets in two of the bathrooms. Master bedroom has leakage when it rains.

We enjoyed our stay at Laughin Place very much. Had some nice weather for New Years and the whole week. House was large and plenty of bathrooms, big kitchen. We really enjoyed the large dining table. We played cards and games every day when not out shelling or walking. The porch and deck were well used with lots of seating.

Amazing space for a group beach retreat
Our group of twelve girlfriends spent the weekend at Laughin' Place. It was an amazing set up for a large group. Lots of different place to congregate and quiet spaces for those that wanted to go to bed earlier.

A great family vacation at the Laughin Place with the waves breaking right outside our window.
We LOVED the Laughin Place. Being able to stay here was a dream come true. It's like being on a cruise ship being able to hear the waves break right outside the house. It's very family friendly and the perfect beach house for a large family. We love all the updates and especially the large family farm table. We are very thankful for our vacation here.

Perfect family beach getaway!
The Laughlin' Place was everything we dreamed it would be and more. It was the perfect place to celebrate my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary! The beach was quiet and relaxing, the house accommodated our large group and provided ample space to find a quiet place to yourself when needed. The best part was the ocean view deck. I could have stayed up there all day and night! We can't wait to go back!

Laughin Place
Our family has been coming the last two years to this house. We love it, we had 16 this year and it was great with the little ones with the separate living areas so they could take quite naps. This house is fabulous! I...
This house is fabulous! It is furnished perfectly and is so comfortable.Very clean and spacious. This is one of the best rental houses I have stayed in. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best),I give it a nine.Great ocean front beach house with lots of room to get away.I will be back.
