Not only does Starboard Light 7 overlook the Atlantic Ocean, but it’s also just steps from the coquina Ormond Beach and less than a 15-minute walk to the piers of the Halifax River. And should you tire of lazing in the sun and splashing in the waves, you can drive to Daytona International Speedway, the Museum of Arts & Sciences and other attractions in less than a half-hour. Starboard Light 7 is one of only 18 units that make up the condo complex, so you won’t have to contend with crowds. That means you’ll have plenty of room to swim in the complex’s heated outdoor pool, and it’ll be easy to snag a poolside chaise or table as well. Just beyond the pool and accessible via a walkway is the eye-catching red-sand beach and the ocean. You can watch gulls dive into the sparkling waters and hear the waves from your ground-floor patio as well as from your upstairs balcony.

The balcony opens onto the en-suite primary bedroom. View the sunrise from the comfort of your queen-size bed; enjoy a romantic nightcap beneath the stars before turning in for the evening. The second bedroom, also upstairs, features a pair of full beds. Both bedrooms include a flat-screen TV with cable and plenty of storage. What’s more, Starboard Light 7 has a full bathroom for each bedroom, so you won’t have to line up in the hallway for your turn to take a shower!

The open-plan living room/dining area/kitchen makes up the lower level. The sliding glass doors that open onto the patio let in plenty of sunshine and salt-kissed sea breezes. With its sunny yellow walls, spacious sectional sofa, and roomy armchairs, the living area easily accommodates the whole gang in comfort and style. Watch a movie on the large flat-screen TV, surf the web via the free Wi-Fi, sprawl out on the carpet for a game of Candyland with the kids: In other words, make yourself right at home. The sofa opens into a bed for two, by the way, enabling Starboard Light 7 to sleep six guests in all.

Thanks to Starboard Light 7’s convenient location, you can walk to numerous restaurants. There’s also a picnic area alongside the pool—great news if you plan to go fishing during your stay. Should you prefer a quiet meal in the privacy of your own condo, you can enjoy that too. Along with a pub-style table for four, the dining area has a breakfast bar that seats two. The kitchen includes a full gamut of appliances, cookware and tableware, plus ample elbow room. Whether you’re hosting a holiday feast, brewing your morning coffee or mixing a batch of margaritas to sip on the patio, you’ll find just about everything you need. All you have to supply are food and an appetite.

And with the ocean just outside your door, you’re sure to work up an appetite swimming, surfing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and beachcombing. For a change of pace, hit the links at Tomoka Oaks Golf Club or bike, boat, fish or stroll in Tomoka State Park; each is just a 15-minute drive.
